White, with vermilion ringing the tips the fur on her ears and paws, Xue Mei lives up to her nickname of the vivid plum blossoms blooming in the midst of the cold winter snow. Her fur is soft and regularly self-groomed to keep the image of beauty and grace she prides herself on maintaining. Xue Mei is larger than the average arctic fox; the size of an adult wolf with claws and sharp rows of gleaming white teeth to match.
[break][break]
Her piercing gaze makes the casual observer feel as if she's looking through them, though, normally, Xue Mei is threading herself between Xuan's legs quietly demanding peach buns. She's also not one to speak with strangers, caution and suspicion driving her to preferring the peaceful silence like her witch. And also like her witch, she absolutely despises the heat of summer, usually seeking shade from the glaring sun when she can and generally keeping to the shadows.
[break][break]
Growing in an environment where its eat or be eaten, there is little she wouldn't do to protect herself and her witch. Once the situation presents itself, Xue Mei is more than happy clawing, biting and tearing into flesh and bone, staining her fur red despite her docile appearance. Thus, it is generally advised not to approach her without her explicit permission, even then be warning of her sudden change in moods or there will be a high chance of loosing a finger or two ... or all.

[attr="class","stafftempitem"]Technique: Skater A witch with this technique can now glide over surface by freezing them as they move. After a short burst of momentum, they can skate across fields. It’s trickier with harsher terrain, and beginners end up falling and hurting themselves. A lot. |
[attr="class","stafftempitem"]Technique: Coolant This allows the user to instantly cool the air around them. The degree of the coldness depends on the which, but it has several clevel applications including forcing alertness, or discouraging the enemy. Talented witches have been known to freeze others just by using this technique. |
[attr="class","stafftempitem"]Lancea This allows the user to create a makeshift polearm out of ice, though typically simplistic in shape for the inexperienced. While easier to wield than a standard spear, the technique does demand a degree of weapon mastery, making it difficult to use but rewarding when mastered. The duration of the technique demands on the strength of the witch; fledglings and apprentices are likely to find their weapons shattering after a few hits. |

general scrolls
[attr="class","inventorybody2"]
[attr="class","stafftempitem"]General: Witch's Intuition The user must close their eyes to activate this, and it requires a full five seconds of concentration before all magical presences in the area are revealed. The more powerful the presence, the easier it is to sense. It also enables the witch to sense nearby monsters and magical objects. May not work on witches using a CLOAKING SCROLL. |
[attr="class","stafftempitem"]General: Illumination Inscribed in this scroll are directions for creating a source of light. Witches can brighten rooms and people, as well as make special effects such as a flare or highlight, making it a popular scroll in the entertainment sector. The illumination isn’t from fire or from actual light-manipulation but rather from magical enhancement of the mana. |
[attr="class","stafftempitem"]GENERAL - SCROLL OF THE SWITCH[break] A very simple scroll that almost every witch possesses the knowledge of. It allows the witch and the familiar to switch places at any time or distance from each other. However, sudden switches can leave an inexperienced witch feeling dizzy or disoriented. |
[attr="class","stafftempitem"]Blank Skill: botanist's eye the witch is able to quickly tell with a glance, the quality of a given plant, whether ripe for the picking or rotting from disease, and which parts are of its leaves and fruit are edible and poisonous. this is extremely useful for gardening, foraging and survival in the wilderness as the witch is able to find a rich supply of food. it also allows the witch to recognise medicinal values for those interested in medicine, culinary arts or potion brewing. |

[attr="class","stafftempitem"]Affinity: Aphrodite's Dust A potion that enhances the beauty of the user, making them radiate a magical and gorgeous aura. Unfortunately, it makes monsters highly attracted to the witch as well. |
[attr="class","stafftempitem"]Alchemy: Marjane's Majikbook #2: Aquapyra Killian was always a fan of defying the books and “enjoying” alchemy, and his second scroll is no exception to that rule. This scroll contains instructions for how to make liquid fire. Or, as he liked to call it, “Aquapyra.” The fire spreads incredibly quickly, and can be poured like a liquid over a given area. Usage of this concoction within the walls almost always results in destruction and fines to the witch using it. Please exercise some caution, or have a back-up plan available. |
[attr="class","stafftempitem"]THE ALCHEMIST'S TRADE: VANISHING DROUGHT Not to be ingested, but rather poured over whatever is to be hidden (living or nonliving). It causes the object to become invisible, though the duration and convincingness of its effects are up to the rank of the witch and quality of materials used. |
[attr="class","stafftempitem"]MERLO’S MISCELLANY #5: SONIC BOMB A bubbling, angry red solution held in a glass vial that seems too small. When the glass is shattered, an extremely loud noise erupts from the point of contact, deafening and likely to stun. While beginners are limited in their scope, experienced alchemists have been said to stop lines of enemies in their tracks, at least momentarily. |
[attr="class","stafftempitem"]Alchemy: Marjane's Majikbook #1 Killian Marjane, long time rival and ex-lover of Sylvia Yanus, published this scrollbook quickly after the release of The Alchemist’s Trade. The first entry instructs the witch of creating a growth potion. Spraying this potion over earth causes incredible extreme growth of dense grasses, shoots, and sometimes even whole trees (depending on the concentration of materials used)-- fruits and flowers cannot be harvested as they are so full of magic that they often end up exploding. When ingested by witches, it causes sudden growth that can often leads to painful death if not treated in time. |
[attr="class","stafftempitem"]ALCHEMY - EVERHART’S ELIXIRS #2: FLASK OF ENDURANCE[break] When ingested by the witch, it enhances their overall pain tolerance considerably, pushing themselves to perform feats otherwise thought of as unlikely. Like with the rest, caution is advised when using this: while the witch may not feel the strain of pushing themselves that far, they are likely to feel its effects as soon as the elixir wears off. Inexperienced witches typically injure themselves far more than experienced users who know where their limits are. |
[attr="class","stafftempitem"]ALCHEMY - MERLO’S MISCELLANY #3: NIGHTEYE*[break] This dark green, viscous liquid is not meant for ingestion, but rather, to be smeared across a witch’s eyes to grant them enhanced vision at night. Unfortunately, this means that any exposure to light is exceedingly painful for the duration of this potion, or until wiped away. Its potency and effective duration would depend on the rank and strength of its brewer. |

Though it seems like a simple keepsake, this item will serve as your character’s lifeline in the face of imminent peril.
