These expansive meadows bloom with an impressive spectrum of colors in the spring, summer, and fall, and are a magnificent sight to behold. However, most organisms which grow here are far too large, including both the wildflowers and the insects which pollinate them.

Above these grassy plains, rocky fragments float gently through the sky, said to be the remains of a civilization which had built atop a floating island. These fragments tend to keep the oversized beasts from the bordering desert and meadow at bay, giving the opportunity for a thriving nomadic culture to develop.

More than half of the Central Flatlands are covered by the sand and scorched earth of this desert. With so few resources, the nomads who live here have turned to robbery and raiding to survive. The history of this place's name is unclear, as some have told stories of Lazarus being a king, a prophet, a monster, or a god, depending on the teller of the tale.
