002. In agreement with the Proboards TOS, keep everything family-friendly. Fade to black before things get heated and keep swearing and the like to a minimum in both posts and the public Discord chat. Remember that mature content is not permitted by Proboards, even in private messages.

003. Advertisements should be kept only on the plug board. Don't link to other sites in the public Discord unless you're directing someone to a reference site.

001. We're fairly chill here and aim for twice yearly activity checks: one at the start/end of the year and one mid-year.

002. Staff-modded events have more rigorous activity requirements, and we ask that you be prepared to post roughly once per character every 5 days (or the duration specified in the event) for full rewards

003. We don't ever delete application posts, inventories, threads, etc. unless the creator specifically asks, but will periodically delete accounts after 2+ years of inactivity from not logging in. You are always welcome to rejoin! However, account deletion means that the rank, gold, & AP acquired for that character will be lost.

001. Participating in certain threads without some sort of death-save items will risk the death of your character. Creating a thread in the Eastern Wastelands, taking on a moderated mission, or participating in some site-wide raids and other events cause a thread become death enabled. Warnings will be given in the modded threads beforehand.

002. All characters will start at fledgling rank. The only exceptions to this rule are:

Additionally, all characters must be witches who are part of a coven. Members are not allowed to play as unaffiliated humans or other supernatural creatures. In Salem, all humans have innate magical ability, but not all join covens and actively practice it. Characters may change covens according to the following rules:[break][break]

003. Characters with histories of explicit violence or abuse, serial killers, etc are not accepted on the site. Tragic backstories are welcome and often necessary, but please don't push the limits of our pg-13 rating.

004. Characters that have a tie-in with specific places, positions or statuses of Salem are acceptable. however, they must be run through staff first to make sure they do not contradict existing site lore or future plans as long as they follow rule 002.

005. Characters must be at least sixteen years of age. Witch licenses and coven memberships are not permitted for witches of younger ages.

006. One must have at least 10 posts on each of you characters before making any more, but there is no maximum character limit.

- Characters may be saved from a scenario that would have otherwise caused death through the use of their coven-keepsakes, which are given upon acceptance. A character will only receive one of these keepsakes, but similar death-save trinkets can be bought in the shop.

- Characters that are acolytes and above are permitted to officially create a coven. However, covens will not get recognition by the Council until the leader is a recognized High Priest(ess), meaning that they will not obtain a seat in the governing Council of Salem until the leader is promoted to that rank.
