Set on the Pangea-like landmass known as Salem, STARFALL's story is decided by its inhabitants, the witches of the world. Humanity has been able to leverage magic since the beginning of written history, and has been faced by monsters of the world for just as long. At present, four different covens have attained influence across the human cities of the world, but how long until the decades-long tensions between them erupt? How much longer before a city's defenses collapse under the force of a monster attack? The present peace is a mere flick of a wand away from shattering. it's time to find out who you are, where you stand... and where you will stand, at the end of it all.

[attr="class","timeblurb"]The Empyreal Cup day 3 is what could be described as a barely mitigated disaster. Tahlia Vesper interferes midway through the duel, lulling entire crowds of spectators and Helios Knights to sleep and compelling their unconcious bodies to attack those who were unaffected. Although she is scared off by an unnamed necromancer of all people, it seems that many of the witches who were under her influence followed her away and are currently missing, including Jester's Den second in command Valerus Blaze.

[attr="class","timeblurb"]Unexplained structural collapses in Sundial City occur during the evening of The Empyreal Cup's second day of festivities. The entire city seems to be plagued by claims of a woman's voice in their head, as well as sightings of the walking dead. In the chaos, what appears to be the underground door to an ancient tomb, carved with the word "METNAL", is discovered under an amusement park house of mirrors, but the Helios Knights have not revealed what was found within. Thankfully, there are few fatalities, but there is enough damage to the city to delay the final Empyreal Cup duel.

Before the crowd can fully depart, the area is overtaken by some sort of mana-draining sensation. Was it the act of a purifier? Or, perhaps something even more sinister..? And, what misfortune did she see?

[attr="class","timeblurb"]The assassination of mayor Vincente Mallori's wife has left Gale Valley in a state of fear, causing the local farmers to rely more heavily on the security provided by the mercenary coven Silvertongue, ironically, the very same coven suspected of perpetrating the act. More importantly, it left no one talking about the artifact that was stolen at the same event, which has not yet been disclosed by the council of Salem. Even so, some people who are well-connected and well-informed know that this artifact is called Sullivan's Wand.

They instead find the last members of a bloodline of witches who use "Suixitium" magic as they call it. It's a taboo practice which requires them to kill their own familiar in a ritual to make themselves more powerful. Three of the sisters, excluding the youngest who had not yet materialized her familiar, were killed in various altercations with the adventurers.
