♚ the darbi clan are just simplistic merchants and odd-jobbers in sundial, most are not even gifted in the ways of witchcraft, but the main bloodline including the chieftain ( a proud, retired man from the helios knights ) and his children seem to have an inkling of mana in their bodies. khalid darbi, the first son of the leader of the family, the child to inherit his gathered wealth and the title of chieftain after his father’s passing – the disowned son, the bane of his family’s existence. to name a few.
[break][break]
♚ khalid has two younger siblings that he particularly has disdain for; he never got along with either of them and vice versa. there was always an intense sibling rivalry, vying for the attention of their father and hoping to take his inheritance. khalid never cared for the currency involved, he was a child of… indifference. he seemed to a be a magnet for trouble and often brought shame to the very name he was suppose to uphold. he was told he was a helios knight, born and bred, but he felt nothing of the sort. this ideology forced upon him felt extremely fake and strained thin, and khalid vowed he would be the first man of his clan to never take the name of such prestige.
[break][break]
♚ through thorough training by his father, private tutors, and some physical spats with his siblings, khalid learned his tact for alchemy relatively young. the concept was simplistic enough, and it seemed as if any witch or wizard could learn it without even giving a minimum amount of effort. although khalid wasn’t a lazy person, he liked gaining experience without participating in too much practice. his father often scolded him for his lackadaisical attitude, while his brother and sister were much more determined to learn their way as mages. nevertheless khalid likes alchemy – it was easy and fit him like a glove.

♚ at eighteen he secretly joined the coven leviathan under false pretenses that he was attempting to join the helios knights, and once his father found out that khalid had lied, he was promptly bastardized and was told to never return home. khalid expected his heart to be sad, but instead he never smiled to broadly once in his life than he did that day. “good riddance,” he said with a scoff and a wave of his hand, infuriating his father who spouted curses as khalid walked in the opposite direction with his hands in his pockets.
[break][break]
♚ khalid has been in leviathan for that last seven years of his life, and enjoys himself to the fullest no matter what he is doing: to tedious missions or simply relaxing with other members in headquarters. he’s known as a loyal member and having an aura that commands respect despite his low rank. but like anyone, he has his insecurities. yet he’s intelligent enough to keep them under a lock and key… for now.
