A northern white-faced owl, Lyze is as dignified as he is proud, every inch the silent lethal predator his species embodies. His dusky grey-brown plumage is always immaculately groomed, his amber-orange eyes a dark shade just shy of red, and when the sunlight is just right, there is visible a slight ochre tinge to his feathers.[break][break]
Though his species oft make a fool of themselves flaring their wings when frightened, Lyze prides himself on his self-control and refuses to lower himself to that indignity. He is most often seen perched on Aisling's shoulder or a perch nearby, a silently menacing guardian with an unblinking, unwavering stare; otherwise he can be seen circling high above in the air. He is almost always materialised due to the nature of his and Aisling's relationship - Lyze is effectively her eyes, her view of the world - he keeps up a silent relay of information about their surroundings to her such that sometimes it can be almost impossible to tell that she's sightless.[break][break]
Lyze is very prideful, sometimes to the point of arrogance, but he is also kind in a gruff sort of way. He takes what he perceives to be his responsibilities and his promises extremely seriously - the most important of which, of course, is Aisling's health - as such, he takes a very dim view of witch-familiar pairs that are in constant conflict. That said, he is constantly attempting to get Aisling to be more confident, to assert herself more, to not be so passive; Lyze is certainly far more the aggressor of the two, not sharing in Aisling's pacifism.

[attr="class","stafftempitem"] TECHNIQUE: BLADE OF WIND[break] A blade is created from pure wind, making it effortlessly sharp and almost invisible to the eye - when created right. In the hands of an experienced witch, there are very few materials that this blade cannot slice through, however as wind is a notoriously difficult element to master, amateur witches often struggle to even manifest a tangible blade for long, their attempts oft flickering away into puffs of air at the very first blow.
[attr="class","stafftempitem"]Technique: Fierce Gale[break] The witch can summon a sudden gale in a particular direction. Expert witches can make enemies fly off into the distance, whereas such feats may be difficult for beginners.
[attr="class","stafftempitem"]Technique: Hover[break] The witch can lift the air beneath them, letting them hover for a certain amount of time. While it achieves a flight-like state, it takes a considerable amount of strength to keep a witch’s body weight with pure air. The more skilled the witch, the longer they can hold the hover. |

[attr="class","stafftempitem"] SCROLL OF THE SENSES[break] This scroll allows the witch to temporarily share in their familiar's sensory input, including but not limited to sight, smell, taste, touch, and hearing. Fledglings may only be able to access one of their familiar's senses at a time, and only for a short time, but masters can all but experience the world through their familiar.
[attr="class","stafftempitem"]General: Winguardium Leviosa[break] This scroll allows the user to force anything into flight, provided it isn’t extremely heavy. It sometimes malfunctions against living beings, but it is easy to counter-spell in case things get out of hand.
[attr="class","stafftempitem"]General: Witch's Call[break] Can be used on any object to instantly draw it towards the witch. Does not work on living beings. |

[attr="class","stafftempitem"] CONSTELLER GRIMOIRE: EYE OF HORUS Allows the witch to ascribe to eye constellation upon a surface as a temporary minds eye. The length of time it remains active depends on the witches rank with fledgling witches only managing minutes before the constellation dissipates from lack of mana.
[attr="class","stafftempitem"]CONSTELLER GRIMOIRE: ORION’S LIGHT[break] Orion, the great hunter of the sky, can be called upon to brighten a dark night or to illuminate a path for the user. While the constellation is still visible in the sky, the witch receives heightened instincts and senses such as smell, sight and hearing. The blessing can also be given to another witch if desired.
[attr="class","stafftempitem"]FAULKHEIT’S GRIMOIRE: OFFENSIVE CAPACITIES OF STARDUST[break] A witch can now force stardust to explode in a burst of light and heat. Stardust explosions, while stronger depending on the witch’s rank, are really minor when compared to the explosions wrought by other affinities and are usually used as a distraction for a quick escape.
[attr="class","stafftempitem"]THE STARMAKER’S GUIDE TO THE GALAXY #1[break] An exceptionally well illustrated grimoire written by the beloved witch Lunella Lacehart, this particular scroll talks about the creation of a starette. It allows the user to bind stardust together at a focal point to create a floating ball of light and heat. A skilled user can make dozens of starettes at once, but knowledge of the rest of Lunella’s scrolls is required to fully utilise starettes. The user must have access to the sky or stardust to create one. At novice, this scroll no longer occupies a scroll slot.
[attr="class","stafftempitem"]The Starmaker's Guide To The Galaxy #2[break] The second installment details how to manipulate the gravitational field of stardust. In doing so, the user can use deployed starettes to pull objects or others towards it. The force of this pull gets stronger with the skill of user. |

[attr="class","stafftempitem"]WITCH LICENSE[break] Your official, government approved permit that allows you to practice magic under a coven. Be careful not to get it lost or stolen.
[attr="class","stafftempitem"]Knight's Crest[break] A shining crest that bears the symbol of the Helios Knights. This object was given upon being accepted into the Helios Knights. Though it seems like a simple keepsake, this item will serve as your character’s lifeline in the face of imminent peril. When the bearer’s mana reaches critical levels, all items made similarly will begin to glow as a mass signal is sent to witches of your coven, allowing them to come to your aid should anything happen. May be used once to escape death.
[attr="class","stafftempitem"] BASIC WAND[break] A basic wand of the M.A.G.I. brand. It is lightweight and easy to use, made for general purposes. It helps focus spells but is general weak and breaks easily. Required to partake in duels. |
