[attr="class","inventoryfambody"]
Parker’s familiar is a golden jackal named Aureum, meaning “gold” in latin. The name is both because of her species and becomes of the intricate gold designs along her black fur and her golden eyes. The golden design on her fur start under her eyes near her nose and curve around them, running down the middle part of her neck and body. From there, the design branches off into curls and spirals and darkness seems to emanate from her body. Aureum is of an average size for normal golden jackals, being thirty-five inches long and stands at a shoulder height of twenty inches. She weighs thirty-five pounds.
[break][break]
Despite how ornate her fur is, Aureum is a humble being, mirroring Parker. Both of them are confident in their abilities, but neither overestimates themselves. Aureum is extremely quiet and prefers to only communicate when absolutely necessary or when spoken to. However, while Parker can come off as cold and rude, Aureum is gentle and soft, giving Parker guidance whenever he needs it.
[break][break]
When confronting enemies however, Aureum remains silent, preferring to emerge from the shadows, striking fear into whoever opposes them. The two only communicate through telepathy when in a battle, letting Parker talk with other comrades if need be. Aureum takes no pleasure in fighting but considers herself to be skilled just like her partner. The two see each other on either ground, with neither imagining life possible without the other.

[attr="class","stafftempitem"]Technique: Shadow Spider Swarm The user creates a swarm of small shadow spiders which home in on a target and latch themselves onto them en masse. Not only do the spiders impede movement and potentially vision also, the feeling of thousands of spiders crawling on one's skin has been described as 'rather unnerving' at best. The amount of spiders able to be created, and the range with which they can track a target, depends on the skill and experience of the witch - fledgling witches often find their spiders dissipating or losing focus after about a meter's radius, whereas masters of this technique have been said to create multiple swarms of spiders that target multiple witches over a truly terrifying distance. |
[attr="class","stafftempitem"]Technique: Solidify Shadows The witch can now solidify and manipulate their own shadow, creating whip-like projections to attack the enemy. However the range and strength of these shadows depend on the strength of a witch, so fledglings might not be able to do much... |

[attr="class","stafftempitem"]General: Illumination Inscribed in this scroll are directions for creating a source of light. Witches can brighten rooms and people, as well as make special effects such as a flare or spotlight, making it a popular scroll in the entertainment sector. The illumination isn’t from fire or from actual light-manipulation, but rather from magical enhancement of the mana. |

[attr="class","stafftempitem"]Affinity: THE PROPERTIES OF ALL THINGS: TRANSPARENCY Unlike physical or self-augmentation, some witches choose to study the properties of inanimate objects. This grimoire covers the properties of matter and how to enhance and degrade them. This scroll allows the user to enhance the ‘transparency of an object.’ This works well on any kind of container or house, and the limit to how far a witch can see depends on their skill level. Usually, beginners struggle with thicker substances. |
[attr="class","stafftempitem"]THANE’S GRIMOIRE: ELEMENTAL SUPPLEMENTATION (DARKNESS) Thane dedicates a section of his grimoire to enhancing the potency of the elements. Despite having a general common method, since different properties are enhanced for different elements (thickness and strength of darkness, heat and intensity of fire, intensity of light, etc), he went on to make different scrolls for each element. This one helps the augmenter enhance darkness. |

[attr="class","stafftempitem"]Golden Bell A small, golden bell that appears to have been taken from a fool’s cap. This object was given upon being accepted into Jester's Den. Though it seems like a simple keepsake, this item will serve as your character’s lifeline in the face of imminent peril. When the bearer’s mana reaches critical levels, all items made similarly will begin to glow as a mass signal is sent to witches of your coven, allowing them to come to your aid should anything happen. May be used once to escape death. |
