this creature loves to pick fights. he is a little annoyed at his name but she was young and for the longest time assumed he was a female as she is. he prefers to go by Sile but won't correct his witch because he is mildly afraid of her. in his younger years he was known to be dressed up by her quite often and given noogies so he mostly goes along with what she wants in fear.

When using this skill, the witch's flames will shift to a purple hue instead of the usual orange/red spectrum. Though sensory illusions are the simplest spell to burn away, masters of their elemental craft have been known to incinerate spell-induced mental and emotional manipulation. When being conjured, this skill causes the witches eyes to take on a gold color.

the user creates a phoenix of fire that locks onto a target and chases after them, resting only when they have burnt their target to cinders or until they are dispelled. the size and effectiveness of this technique is dependent on a witch's skill - amateur witches would have trouble maintaining the phoenix's focus for long, which often leads to the phoenix dissipating after a few moments. experienced witches, however, have no trouble maintaining the phoenix's focus - some master witches have even been rumored to maintain multiple phoenixes at the same time!

the witch encases their hands (or, in some cases their feet) in fire. although it does not damage the witch, it causes their unarmed attacks to burn their target. at more advanced levels, the witch is even able to create small combustive bursts on impact. although this spell requires fairly little mana to initially cast, mana is continuously drained the longer it remains active.

This technique superheats the ground just below the target with mana to create a large pillar of fire and debris. The field of influence is highly visible, creating a sort of magic circle below where the magic will hit. It is often accompanied by a kind of whistle steam tone just before the attack strikes. This technique cannot be performed in the air or underwater, and is difficult to perform in arctic conditions.

Wings of Fire

the user creates a pair of fiery 'wings' that extend from their back and can be used for both defense and offense. the wings can help to redirect or burn up projectiles aimed at the user - the extent of which it is effective is dependent on the skill and experience of the witch - while they can also be 'flared' in an attempt to burn opponents. fledgling witches would find it difficult to shape and maintain the shape of the wings, much less manipulate them, but experienced witches are said to be a sight to behold on the battlefield.

sarah glatzer runs one of the most popular salons for witches in sundial. in a rather abnegated attempt at teaching witches of all ages and orientations how to care for their appearances, she published a book full of recipes for different concoctions that are sure to beautify even the ugliest duckling. all the potions in this book are patented and cannot be sold by anyone but her business, but miss glatzer encourages all witches to try brewing them at home. while illusionists may choose to change their appearance at will, the less fortunate witches are forced to recur to less practical alternatives. hair dying potions may be fairly easy to brew, but this scroll offers a base recipe that does not only last longer than most commercial hair dyes. however it also has little impact on the a more sensitive person’s scalp.
