Starfall is an animaga witch roleplay set in mostly modern times. Members play as witches in a world plagued by monsters, where the only safe spots are walled cities. Starfall strives to be a character-driven roleplay with expansive lore and a highly interactive plotline. We want to allow members to
create and look back on a magical journey, and mold the site and its plot as their characters grow.
001. NPC threads are threads between the player and an NPC of their choosing. threads can only be undertaken when a player receives an NPC thread item, after which they must post in this thread stating which NPC they'd like to thread with. [break][break] 002. the thread will be created by staff, but members may state if they'd like a specific circumstance and staff will be happy to oblige. [break][break] 003. some NPCs are more trigger happy than others, so please be watchful of your step. [break][break] 004. NPC threads may end at any time if the NPC in question decides to leave or needs to be somewhere else. make it count! when especially pleased, NPCs may teach the characters new, specialized scrolls or gift them rare items. [break][break] 005. unlike other items, the "npc thread" item can be used across characters and can be gifted to other members. it cannot, however, be sold. [break][break] 006. members may also suggest NPC ideas, however the staff reserves the right to deny these suggestions. they must be made over PM.

These threads are listed with higher staff priority order at the top. Members' NPC threads may have a lower priority for any number of reasons: they do not reply as quickly, they have more than one NPC thread, they have been waiting longer, or if there is more site plot relevance in their thread. These priorities can change at any time.
NPCs act as shared characters, and can be managed by staff and by certain members who apply! Managing an NPC may involve helping RP them in events and NPC threads, bouncing plot ideas off of staff, and/or managing a shop owned by the NPC (such as Kiki's shop). Applying to manage an NPC does not mean you're responsible for all of the NPC's activities, but we'd appreciate if you can commit to an occasional thread when you have time if the NPC plays a significant role. Note that you won't be able to manage NPC threads with yourself (aka, RPing both the character and the NPC in a one-on-one thread), so it may be a good idea to avoid managing an NPC that a character of yours has a lot of involvement with. [break][break] Since allowing non-staff-members to RP NPCs is a new development, we're going to be a bit restrictive in member participation at first while we figure out the details of how all of this is going to work. Currently, only members who have at least 1 active character and who've been with us for at least 6 months may apply. Additionally, members may only manage up to one major (listed in the following post -- most likely to show up in events) and one minor NPC (not listed below -- such as Kiki). As the person in charge of the oldest coven in Sundial, it's only natural that their role is to maintain peace, through whatever means necessary. That's not to say that justice and equity aren't close behind, however. She upholds a very rigid moral code, and she's quite dedicated to her own coven--perhaps a little too much. Medeia firmly believes that the Helios Knights are superior to everyone else, and will act as such. A force to be reckoned with, she's unafraid to voice her own opinions, however scathing or unpopular-- yet this aside, she hides a deep understanding of politics and human nature and knows exactly when to act in what nature to obtain what she wants. She can be deceptively kind or genuinely so- deceptively strict or honestly ruthless. Because of this, Medeia may seem contradictory yet fierce upon first impressions. However, she's actually much softer in person. Polite yet stern, those who know her personally are keenly aware that kindness from Mediea finds itself in subtleties, for she will never admit it out loud. He's usually unremarkable on first impressions; if one passed him on the street most people wouldn't give him another glance. He's often found hanging around the cafe, socializing and joking; and one on one, is a keen listener who considers everyone's grievances. Although, Cain is a rather private person himself. Most members couldn't even say his last name if asked. At heart, he's a true prankster who loves to make other people laugh. For someone so friendly, one wouldn't think that he has a lot of secrets--but no one's quite sure where Cain goes when he disappears at weeks at a time, only to appear back at the cafe none the wiser. When asked, his answers prove vague and unreliable. Talk about anything but him, and you should be fine.

Though an advocate for peace and justice through and through, Kirean will not hesitate to fight or force down any that he deems unjust. When not discussing business, he can be extremely joyful and forthcoming.

He’s passionate, flirty and fickle and only respects those with what he calls “the fire.” While he may seem like a laid back hedonist, there’s no denying his mastery over illusion magic and his enthusiasm for the same. He’s rewarding for those who can stand to spend time with him, and not to mention extremely popular with the ladies (and gentlemen, when drunk).

Witches are warned not to provoke this Person of Interest unless granted explicit permission by an authorized coven or the council. She seems friendlier or more open with some witches than others. [break][break] On the surface, though, Basil is a rather embittered witch with a sharply sarcastic tongue and a quick wit and eyes that see easily through lies and flattery. He is audacious and yet somehow genial, but does not mince his words. However, what makes him feared is not his atheneum skill nor his augmentation (both of which cannot be denied), but rather the way in which he commands his element: air. He specializes in dangerous weather effects and the manipulation of the sky itself, making Basil a true 'demon of the south wind.'

[break][break] "Riley," as the brunette's name goes, is a high-ranking witch in Silvertongue with a low profile. Childish and excitable, her exterior betrays none of the lurking sadism and morbid fascination with death within. she bears a deep and vengeful grudge against any that oppose her, so be careful of what you say. Riley hails from Eclipse Town and is a lot more ritualistic on the inside than how she may appear to be outside. She is quite in touch spiritually, and summoners are "the only types of witches I can respect." She seems to have very good rapport with Dmitri but the rest of the authorities within Silvertongue do not like her- it is clear from the way the Emerald Guildhall seems to stir uneasily at her presence. She can be visited near the Sun Cafe by those who wish to know their fate. But she always asks for something of equal value to have the fortune told. She is not above bribery or a good bargain and has something of a sweet-tooth or so people say. Despite all this, she will turn any away who she deems is "impure" of heart. She speaks very little and when her mouth does open, the words that she speaks are often with meaning. She is a former member of Jester's Den, and her loyalty is still to them and the wayward children who enter into its welcoming arms.

A brilliant Weaver and Plantshaper aside, it’s rumored that he’s able to perform spells for over six other affinities and knows the whole theory of every single type of magic in existence, can recognize ancient runes instantly, and some even say that ‘there is no question he cannot answer, and if he cannot, then no one can.’ He is prodigy spelled with a capital ‘P’ --and the council hasn’t exactly been too kind on him because of the fact. These days, he seems a little more reclusive and not ‘all there’ -- busy with paperwork when he’d rather be discovering something new.

Her battle prowess is not known considering she never went up against a worthy foe, but throughout her life she has remained undefeated in duels. One thing is certain- her knowledge is infinite and so is her skill at enchantment.
