deimos doesn't physically differ so much from your regular black heron despite being artemi's familiar. he roughly reaches his waist in height and, generally, shares a certain air of resemblence to his master; the bird is all limbs and bedraggled crest feathers, deep obsidian in colour. the only colour on the bird are his feet, which are a bright yellow in contrast. deimos has no peculiar traits to note and, in short, is rather plain. [break][break]
there's a little more colour to be found in his personality however, but not too much. artemi's usually polite mannerisms aren't something shared between the pair and a common habit of the heron's is to accidentally let slip a scathing comment or what he feels are his master's true thoughts. he doesn't decorate his musings or mollify his words; he's to the point and doesn't spare much time for nonsense. artemi values his opinion though; his ability to think and deduct objectively is useful... even if, much like artemi, he has a tendency to lack empathy at times as well.

[attr="class","stafftempitem"]TECHNIQUE: SHARD CREATION The most simple of techniques, creation is the ability to create ice shards. This enables the witch and the familiar to attack the enemy. This technique grows in strength with the witch, meaning a fledgling might not be able to do much…. | |
[attr="class","stafftempitem"]TECHNIQUE: ICED OUT Another simplistic technique, this allows the witch to spread ice across the terrain, making it slippery and unfavorable. The radius of the terrain increases with the witch’s skill, so a fledgling may not be able to do much. |

[attr="class","stafftempitem"]GENERAL: BLINKING SCROLL The first entry in a scroll on how to vanish, taken from a light grimoire written by one of the oldest and most renowned witches, Lunella Lacehart. A witch that possess its knowledge will vanish in a burst of oddly colored smoke, only to quickly reappear within a small radius from where the spell was used barring areas the witch can’t see (i.e beyond walls). It uses up the mana of the witch instead of altering mana. |

[attr="class","stafftempitem"]VILE CONCOCTION What happens when you mix the feather of a Dark Tail and Grendel’s Mushroom in a beaker of boiling water, and let cool for a few minutes? According to Slyvia Yanus in her book The Alchemist’s Trade, you obtain a dark black concoction that can melt nearly anything and should only be kept in mana-reinforced vials. It’s safe to assume your alchemist as a few of these handy and even if they don’t, they have the knowledge to create this. |
[attr="class","stafftempitem"]VIAL OF THE HYACINTH Allows the witch to recover from physical injuries or give to other witches to do the same. Minor wounds are completely healed, and progress is shown on moderate wounds. Major wounds or limb loss, however, can not be treated. This recipe seems to have existed since the dawn of time and alchemy. |
[attr="class","stafftempitem"]APHRODITE'S DUSTA potion that enhances the beauty of the user, making them radiate a magical and gorgeous aura. Unfortunately, it makes monsters highly attracted to the witch as well. |

[attr="class","stafftempitem"]INFINITE HOURGLASS A magically enchanted, never-ending hourglass that fits in your palm. This object was given upon being accepted into Silvertongue. Though it seems like a simple keepsake, this item will serve as your character’s lifeline in the face of imminent peril. When the bearer’s mana reaches critical levels, all items made similarly will begin to glow as a mass signal is sent to witches of your coven, allowing them to come to your aid should anything happen. May be used once to escape death. |
