teddy is called by his name for his diminutive size. unlike the actual dog he is about the size of the average terrier. because of this he is much more dense than an actual saint bernard puppy his size would be having the weight behind him of the much larger dog while staying cute as a button. this of course makes carrying him surprisingly difficult. his fur is the typical mix or white and light brown that one might expect in a saint bernard and his fur is a little matted in places but is all around in good shape and fairly soft to the touch.

this dog is very jealous of anyone who comes near its master, especially boys. teddy needs to be the only man... er dog... in his witches life. given time and respect he does tend to let people grow on him if they prove themselves in his eyes with strength. he is very much a guard dog.

Allows the witch to use crystals instead of stone for their earth spells. Attacks become sharper thanks to the crystaline structure, but defensive spells are less durable and more brittle than normal earth magic. Illusionists and seers may find the abilities of their affinity heightened when used together with techniques using this skill.

Although witches who control the element of earth usually specialize in generating and moving stones, some have the capability of manipulating metals as well. This skill gives the witch the option of applying metal instead of rock to their other elemental abilities, causing the earthen structures to be less rigid and more durable.

The witch gathers crystalline minerals from the ground and brings them to the surface. By pouring mana into these small crystal structures the witch promotes the healing of those bathed in the crystal's light. While it cannot heal physical injuries, it promotes mana and stamina regeneration by attracting mana from the earth around them and giving it off in waves.

the witch gains the ability to walk on any stone surface, no mater which way it's facing. inexperienced witches may have trouble sticking to very smooth or upside-down surfaces, however.

the witch can now create a storm of rocks to attack enemies from all directions, though the size of the rocks and the speed at which they travel are determined by a witch’s rank.

allows for earth witches to alter the gravity of other earth based magics to redirect their trajectory. advanced pracitioners may even be able to completely reverse the spell to send it back to is origination. the larger the earth, the more mana it takes to repel it. this only works on regular earth spells, making it ineffective against crystal, metal, and other non-traditional earth magic.

Technique - Earth
the most simple of techniques, creation is the ability to lift off chunks of earth. this enables the witch and the familiar to create balls of rock and soil to lob at the enemy. this technique grows in strength with the witch, meaning a fledgling might not be able to do much.

when used, a bit of the earth juts out suddenly from the ground, forming an earthen pillar. can have a variety of uses, but inexperienced witches won’t be able to create sturdy or very high structures using this, instead being able to jut out rocks or the like.

Rock Satellite
Technique - Earth
the witch uses their power over the earth to mimic the gravitational pull of the planet and create four large rock shards that orbit the user to act as a defense. the rocks are manipulated by the users mana and move with the user. by expelling a burst of mana the user can hurl the rocks outward.

PRECISE PURIFICATION: SCALPEL
Scroll - Purification
While many other purification spells shine in their spontaneity, Scapel is a purifier's precision tool, and in a steady hand, is able to cut through mana in a thin line. Typically, it is used as the first step to disabling 'static' mana such as that in runes or enchanted objects, or creating an exploitable loophole in a long-standing spell, and is seldom seen in combat situations. This is the type of spell that grows with the witch's experience -- a fledgling purifier is unlikely to be able to sustain the spell long enough to fully disable a rune or enchantment. Furthermore, the longer the mana has existed in its present state, the more difficult it is to fully purify it.

useful for removing long-lasting hexes and jinxes, this scroll allows the witch to reverse the effects of one mana-induced effect from the target ( i.e. the ability to breathe water as granted by a water-breathing potion, or being jinxed with ill-timed hiccups ). it requires knowledge of the spell, and attempting to purify such an effect without such often leads to disastrous side effects.

This scroll aims at purifying the effects of any spell aimed to injure - its use causes wounds (physical or otherwise) inflicted by spell damage to reverse, though the effectiveness of this depends on how soon after the injuring spell hit that this spell was attempted. The sooner this spell is cast, the more effective; the more serious the wounds, the more mana needed. Knowledge of the spells being purified is not required, but is highly recommended for maximum effectiveness.

a more dangerous version of the previous scroll, this version of the purifying blast finds itself far more concussive in the force with which it pushes objects back - which has been described as ‘rather violently explosive’, in mild terms. controlling the extent and the direction of the explosive blast is what more inexperienced casters struggle with. the drawback to this spell, however, is that the blast is limited to a far more immediate vicinity than the less explosive version, and that the purification effect upon spells is noticeably weaker.

these lamps, easily identified by the long, orange-liquid filled glowing cylinders at their top, are objects designed specifically for rupture stabilization. the purifying properties of these lamps only effect its surroundings when met by a point of extreme mana instability, only attainable by a rupture. though inexperienced witches may be able to create lamps which are effective against older, more stable ruptures, only an experienced witch's rsm-lamps will have any effect against a freshly formed rupture.

A basic spell for helping to deal with spells that utilise temperature changes in some manner. Though fledglings may only be able to break a heating spell on a cup of coffee, more experienced witches can break down complicated spells such as a fire tornado or a magical blizzard, or access dangerous, magically created extreme temperature areas. The spell lets the user dissipate the temperature effects of a spell - removing the heat from a fire ball (which will still burn flesh and cloth), or breaking the frozen part of an icicle to revert it to water (which will still have momentum and could be refrozen or otherwise manipulated).

not all magic is easily augmented by a wand. fortune-reading spells, for example, gain little from being directed through a narrow rod. in such cases, foci are instead used to enhance these abilities. this particular focus is a gem-shaped substance held by a golden sheath, and is used by skilled diviners for more effective scrying. the substance itself, mirragen, is semi-transparent with a reflective surface, and does not react to spells attempting to effect it. it itself has a high concentration of mana, however, making it a highly responsive scrying surface. its spell-augmenting abilities are on par with a specialized heirloom wand, albeit limited in what it is able to augment.

sarah glatzer runs one of the most popular salons for witches in sundial. in a rather abnegated attempt at teaching witches of all ages and orientations how to care for their appearances, she published a book full of recipes for different concoctions that are sure to beautify even the ugliest duckling. all the potions in this book are patented and cannot be sold by anyone but her business, but miss glatzer encourages all witches to try brewing them at home. while illusionists may choose to change their appearance at will, the less fortunate witches are forced to recur to less practical alternatives. hair dying potions may be fairly easy to brew, but this scroll offers a base recipe that does not only last longer than most commercial hair dyes. however it also has little impact on the a more sensitive person’s scalp.

The legendary Sunspear wielded by Naseera Shaer, one of Sundial City's founders, was thrown once again in recent memory following the temporary reanimation of her peacefully entombed body in Eclipse Town's catacombs. Embers from this weapon are notoriously resilient, remaining alight even when in contact with ice and water. When mana is pushed into one of these embers, it will burst into a small firestorm, roughly 5 meters in diameter and 3 standard building stories in height, afterwards rendering the ember ashen and inert. Note that these embers can be used as a dim light and meager source of heat without expending one of its limited uses.
