BREAKING NEWS! THE EMPYREAL CUP OVERTAKEN BY TERRORIST ATTACK MID TOURNAMENT

On the final day of the tournament, witches all over Salem gathered at the stadium to observe the traditional fighting tournament held by the Helios Knights. During what should have been the final match, I, and many others, were witness to a witch identified as Thalia Vesper put a spell on the arena causing hundreds of witches to fall into a sleep like state which she then manipulated to attack witches who had resisted her magic. Survivors later noted that the zombie-like state was actually a nightmare realm. Witches puppeteered by this magic were unaware of their actions, and have begun calling this sort of magic Dreamweaving or Dreamtrapping.

From my own accounts, and the many others present, Thalia Vesper also held the power to speak telepathically to witches in a vast area around her, thus displaying the power and stamina of her magic. This is also incredibly similar to accounts of the Mystery Event that occurred weeks earlier, and troubling connections are starting to form.

During the attack of unconscious witches, many witches rose to the occasion in an attempt to subdue the hoard, Helios Knight or otherwise. Medeia Trevil herself was moved to action, turning her strength to Thalia Vesper. Joining her as well were other prominent witches such as the second in command of the Helios Knights, Lunacea Joyheart as well as Valerus Blaze, second in command of the Jester’s Den. Another such witch was reportedly a woman Necromancer who raised skeletons form beneath the area to repel Thalia. No information is known about this woman, and the Knights urge for any individuals with information to come forward. Unfortunately during the support Valerus Blaze, as well as many other witches were overtaken by Thalia’s mind control and have since disappeared. While their location is unknown, the Helios Knights have assured public everything in their power is being down to locate these missing witches and bring them back safely.

Another tragic mystery is of the trapped witches who were recovered unharmed from the tournament. Many of these witches have remained asleep, unable to wake up from their dream states. Currently, these witches are under the care of Lunacea Joyheart, as she hopes with enough study and care to bring them out of their state. The attack that lay siege to the Empyreal Cup has a death count of over 100 witches and counting with many who lost their lives form weapon attacks while mind controlled, and many dying from severe trauma from their nightmares when not treated fast enough.
