☼ The Sauveterres are a symbol of wealth, the upper-class, and everything stuck-up in Sundial. They don't specialize in any element or affinity, however, there are many great descendants from their name that were proficient in whatever they chose.

☼Thomas Sauveterre, known to Cupid as Father, has scarred that reputation. Though lacking in skill, he did not even have to utter his own name to join the Helios Knights, though it turned out to be an unwise decision. Failed missions and a lack of finesse proved to the public that he did not deserve to stride in the spotlight under the sun. He eventually died, though his mother never told Cupid this story. She just said that he was a sweet man.

☼ He was a small child, frail and shivering even as the afternoon sun streamed into the room. Hanging onto his mother's skirt, looking to her, or even playing with her familiar. Cupid admired magic in all forms, including the simple tricks and flares from the servants. He watched any feat with wide sparkling eyes.

☼ With that golden, heavy and heavily adorned crest that marked his name, it was obvious that Cupid was meant for the Helios Knights. Unlike his father, it's Cupid's grandfather that was known for both debonair and bravery. It was up to Cupid to repair that reputation. He wonders why covens hold such importance in their society as he grows older. Kindness still thrives but it is overshadowed by attempts at fame and slandering news articles that wall others from the light.

☼ Cupid meets his familiar not as a sign that he can use magic, but as meeting a new friend. He's innocent, kept away from danger and heartbreak. And when the time comes he becomes part of Helios Knights. Cupid admires what they stand for and wishes to be a part of them so he can truly serve as a knight, but knows that he didn't have a choice anyway. Because of wealth and status, he can bypass the initiation ritual but chooses to do it anyway. It's only fair. He's encouraged that he will be great at magic, unlike certain fathers.
