Magnus' familiar, while not teeming with magical prowess, still manages to make an imposing impression upon both humans and witches alike through physicality alone. Bonded to Magnus at the ripe age of fifteen, this arctic canine has grown to an impressive stature that far exceeds its worldly counterpart. Standing at five feet in length and spanning seven feet in width, Sylven is displayed as an exceptional mass of slick, whitened fur.
[break][break]
Known primarily among others in Magnus' family for his sharpened teeth and razor-like claws, this beastly visage lends itself to the quiet ferocity that rests just underneath this familiar's surface. His eyes are of the bluest lakes, frozen over by years of self-imposed solitude: only taking the time to confront his master when alone.
[break][break]
For whatever reason, Sylven finds it difficult to trust others outside of his bonded pair. Nothing substantial appears to have swayed the canine into such a position, but this mindset could likely be attributed to his nature. While incredibly loyal to Magnus, Sylven doesn't so much as stalk near anyone that he's not formally been introduced to. Oddly enough, Magnus hardly bothers trying to change his lovable compatriot: knowing that Sylven's distrust could one day save his life.
[break][break]
The wolf rarely materializes at all unless expressly requested by Magnus. So, usually, his presence isn't considered as a problem. Sylven typically rubs people the wrong way, and the canine seems to realize this fact. Even when in the physical world, this wolf doesn't appear to offer anything to anyone. However, if one pays enough attention to him...they'll notice that he carefully eyes strangers out of the corner of his eye: as if asking them to try something around Magnus.
[break][break]
It cannot be stressed enough in stating that the canine's features seldom change unless in the presence of Magnus himself. Otherwise, it would appear that the creature doesn't have any other significant marks that would identify him from another wolf. His fur, though, will occasionally shift as if pushed randomly by the wind. Notably, this aspect is attributed to his connection to the air element: something that he also hardly uses unless stressed to do so by his master.

[attr="class","stafftempitem"] GENERAL: ILLUMINATION SCROLL Inscribed in this scroll are directions for creating a source of light. Witches can brighten rooms and people, as well as make special effects such as a flare or highlight, making it a popular scroll in the entertainment sector. The illumination isn’t from fire or from actual light-manipulation but rather from magical enhancement of the mana. |

[attr="class","stafftempitem"]DARKNESS SCROLL This scroll creates a cover of thick, pitch-black darkness affecting an amount of targets that vary according to skill level. Skilled illusionists often add their own effects such as a pair of mocking eyes, or the rattling or snakes, or whatever suits them and their familiar. For beginners, it’s recommended to work on making the darkness “complete” first. |
