Aetherium Vasilati is how the familiar introduced themselves to Sima, but no one calls them that. Names hold power and so, as with all familiars, Aetherium is given a new one: Adina. It took a week for Sima to come up with one, bombarded with suggestions from his parents and brother. He settled on Adina because that was the name of his great grandmother who father says could raise an entire forest in a matter of minutes. Sima's sure it's an exaggeration, but he always loved the idea of even a fraction of such power coursing through him.[break][break]
Adina is six feet of muscle wrapped in dark green iridescent scales, each tipped with a thin band of gold. Eyes the same honey colour as Sima's always seem to know more than they let on and see more than you think they would. [Break][break]
Where Sima's family has been gentle, Adina is harsh. They are always ready to urge them on with scathing words that would bleed Sima if they could. Never, though, is it out of malice or displeasure with their witch. They won't beat around the bush and try to fix a problem without addressing the core issue. Adina dives right into the heart of Sima's insecurities with every intention of helping them get over them.

[attr="class","inventorybody2"]
[attr="class","itemcontainer"]TECHNIQUE: LIFT The most simple of techniques, creation is the ability to lift off chunks of earth. This enables the witch and the familiar to create balls of rock and soil to lob at the enemy. This technique grows in strength with the witch, meaning a fledgling might not be able to do much….
[attr="class","itemcontainer"]TECHNIQUE: STANCE SHIFT Another simplistic technique, this allows the witch to slightly modify the ground, creating snags or small cracks to trip the enemy or create moderately unfavorable terrain. As the witch’s rank increases, though, the depth and severity of these snags also increase with masters being able to create miniature plateaus and craters.
[attr="class","itemcontainer"]TECHNIQUE: SPEARS The witch manipulates the rock underneath the target and pulls from it stone spears, skewering the target and effectively holding them still for a time. Less experienced witches can't create many spears or even detach them from the main stone body, but highly skilled witches can create multiple spears, detach them, refine them, and even chase the target with them.
[attr="class","itemcontainer"]Pillar When used, a bit of the earth juts out suddenly from the ground, forming an earthen pillar. Can have a variety of uses, but novice witches won’t be able to create sturdy or very high structures using this, instead being able to jut out rocks or the like. |

[attr="class","itemcontainer"]GENERAL: WINGUARDIUM LEVIOSA Allows the user to force anything into flight, provided it isn’t extremely heavy. Sometimes malfunctions against living beings, but it is easy to counter-spell in case things get out of hand.
[attr="class","itemcontainer"]GENERAL: VIBRIONUS usage of this spell is reccomended with a wand otherwise the resultant blast of lightning-like energy can be hard to direct at a particular target. The bast erupts from the tip of the wand and causes whatever it touches to spasm, often resulting in disarming an enemy or sometimes leaving burn marks depending on the skill of the caster. It is almost always used in duels.
[attr="class","itemcontainer"]General: Scroll of the Switch A very simple scroll that almost every witch possesses the knowledge of. Its knowledge allows the witch and the familiar to switch places with its master at any time or distance from each other. However, sudden switches can leave an inexperienced witch dizzy or disoriented. |

[attr="class","itemcontainer"]EXPEL TRIGGER By evoking a forced flow of mana into an object -- or simply pumping mana into a non-living thing-- the witch is able to send any object smaller than a loaf of bread into a volatile state. A single push will cause the object to explode after this state has been reached-- whether from an accidental step or blast of mana. The power of the explosion is dependent on the affinity of the witch.
[attr="class","itemcontainer"]AN ASSORTMENT OF CHARMS, COMPACT JINX: The spell is applied to a non-living target through touch. The object will glow briefly before fading away and will show no clear visible signs of being jinxed (unless detected by other means). When the object is activated through touch or by using it in the intended way, it will then crush in on itself e.g. a wardrobe will start to snap and bend until it's a small compact ball of wood. Weaker witches can only use this on objects the size of a chair and of weaker materials, whereas skillful witches could use it on something like a suit of metal armour or small room. .
[attr="class","itemcontainer"]ENCHANTMENT: PAUSE SCROLL A useful form of evocation that can force the mana of a moving object to slow down. It is more complex and difficult to pull off when used against living beings, but can easily be used to slow the movement of hurled objects and the like. Gets easier with practice, as all things do.
[attr="class","itemcontainer"]ENCHANTMENT: MANA MARK a witch can mark out an item using this. by giving the mana within the substance a unique shape, the witch will be able to track and distinguish this object. however, when the witch gives the same mark on two similar objects, changes observed in one may be observed in the other for unique communication between teams of witches. this bit of evocation was the first step to building coven trinkets. not usable on living beings. |

[attr="class","itemcontainer"]VOID RING (used)A simple, blank ring whose inside reads Si vis pacem, para bellum. This object was given upon being accepted into Leviathan. Though it seems like a simple keepsake, this item will serve as your character’s lifeline in the face of imminent peril. When the bearer’s mana reaches critical levels, all items made similarly will begin to glow as a mass signal is sent to witches of your coven, allowing them to come to your aid should anything happen. May be used once to escape death.
[attr="class","itemcontainer"]AEP PARTICIPANT: GALE VALLEY EDTION a badge that certifies participation in gale valley's apprentice exchange program. congratulations! we hope you participate again next year and continue to do so throughout the different courses of the different cities of salem.
[attr="class","itemcontainer"]NPC TIE IN this item allows a pre-existing character or a new character to have a specified tie or bond with an NPC including distant familial ties, offical or unofficial mentorships, in-depth previous encounters, etc. in addition, for every other quest completed by the character they may thread with the specified NPC free of cost. The member may select who to give the item to upon obtaining it, but once used it can not be transferred or sold. Bonds should be discussed with staff as some NPCs may not be available for certain ties.
[attr="class","itemcontainer"]mysterious fragment A an odd, broken fragment of something that wound up in your possession after the nightmare. an antique collector or hell even kiki will pay a hefty amount for this, but you are inexplicably attracted to it. it feels like magic is radiating off from its core. could this be a piece of something else?
