In the beginning, there lived a very happy couple by the names of Saffron and Lavender Shaker. Saff and Lavender had twins, and when it came to naming them, their conversation went something like this:[break][break]
"What's the punniest names we can give them?"[break]
"Salt and Pepper Shaker."[break]
"Let's do it."[break][break]
And thus begins the stories of the twins Salt and Pepper Shaker.[break][break]
The End.[break][break]
Or at least, that's how Pepper Shaker would like to leave the story.[break][break]
But getting the truth out of Pepper Shaker is difficult. Believe me, I know. Last time someone went too far, he sent the poor bastard to the hospital.[break][break]
But he's always been this way. That witch is not one to talk more than necessary if you know what I mean. As a kid, it was his brother Salt who was chattier. He preferred to stick to what he knew was safe - his close circle of friends and Salt. And the other few people he could trust. But it didn't take him long to learn to fight for himself,
whether it was with his words or his fists. He's all for action first and talk later, yanno?[break][break]
But the kid's got a soft side, and it's one that, frankly, surprises me, too. He's pretty good at hiding it, but if you do happen to see it, don't tease too much or he's definitely going to come around with fists flying.[break][break]
Like that time when he was fourteen! Completely flew off the handle and got himself a nice fat suspension. But everyone knew not to mess with him anymore, so serves them right for talking badly to him and his friend! And heck,
Pepper was the smaller one in that fight.[break][break]
But I've spoken too much. Pepper's secret isn't mine to share, and so I won't. But if you want to know, you better treat him right, you hear me? Or I'll come after you.
