Rufus is a force to be reckoned with. She is the culmination of all there is to know about Flynn and isn't keen on spilling any of it. While she and her witch are thick as thieves, there are plenty of things that Rufus and Flynn don't agree on. Rufus is the type that likes to keep to herself and doesn't want to involve herself in everything and anything. She doesn't understand Flynn's type of chivalry and demands that he quits his jovial nature when situations are risque. Perhaps it is because she is trying to protect a part of Flynn that can't be shown to the world or because her seriousness is rubbed the wrong way by his childishness, it is hard to tell.

Nonetheless, she will constantly be at his side or hidden somewhere on his purpose. Watching but usually never speaking aloud. She prefers their business to be kept between them. It is a lot easier to lure her out with intelligent conversation or snacks. And just like her witch, she can't resist the call of a nice outing with other people. Persistence and consistency is what builds trust with her and so far Flynn has been the only constant that she's been happy to see.

Rufus is a meter tall, including her tail, and is colored red and white with blue eyes. She can fly about 10-15 meters away from her initial perch and prefers to be out at night time rather than early in the morning. She is partially blind because of their shared element and may speak with her eyes closed. One of her favorite things about not being able to see is that she's unable to witness the ugly things that people do to one another.

Why that is so is a secret that she isn't keen on sharing with others, not even Flynn.
