salacia, taking the form of a large rainbow boa measuring at a maximum of ten feet in length, is nothing if not a creature of both intimidation and grace. most would react with a reproachful look — her broad, regal head, calculating gaze, and the sheer power her body holds are enough to warrant a level of respect for her. she moves with precise, purposeful movements, looking akin to smooth water gliding over river rocks, adjusting her body to fit through and around the most unconventional of spaces, naturally encompassing water’s property of filling the space it’s been offered and adapting to it.

aside from the force of her presence, salacia sports a rather beautiful set of scales. while she is iridescent — meaning her color will change as a result of factors such as a shift of the angle of view or with the level of illumination at the present time — her natural color is a soft periwinkle patterned with seafoam white waves all along her body, accentuating her natural beauty. alongside this, salacia is often seen crowned with a headpiece sporting tidal wave designs on either side of her head, with the area separating the two accents being a circlet holding water inside of it. salacia can control the way the water ripples, and it’s movement will often correspond with the snake’s mood shifts.

salacia takes great pride in herself and her witch, and is often unwilling to simply submit to others if she feels either one of them have been slighted. they have nurtured a strong bond with one another over the years they had spent together, and it wasn’t odd to see them together more than apart; sometimes salacia could even be found having shortened her length and wrapped around astartia’s neck and shoulders. contrary to her seemingly brass demeanor, however, salacia is very light-hearted and readily teases others, as well as performs her own share of "pranks."

she is a naturally cunning and instinctual creature, and is thus oftentimes the one to get astartia out of trouble with her quick wits. she finds no issue in conversing with others, though when she does, her voice is rather mesmerizing, resembling that of the exquisite melody of the sirens sailors feared so much.

the witch has developed abilities in the powers of the hunt, wild animals, and the wilderness. in particular, the witch in question has found themselves with considerably heightened senses, the aptitude to analyze behavioral traits in order to discern intentions, as well as the capability to better predict patterns, thus increasing the accuracy of their aim - particularly for long-ranged weapons. artemis' favor swells in expertise alongside the growth of the witch. it should be noted that effective unpredictability and magically-induced hindrances (especially those which affect the senses) drastically reduces the competence of the skill.

water technique
The most simple of techniques, creation is the ability to create water. This enables the witch and the familiar to create balls of water to lob at the enemy. This technique grows in strength and speed with the witch, meaning a fledgling might not be able to do much….

water technique
This technique enables the witch to create a bubble around a given object or person, forcing it to float up while protected by the bubble. The bubble can only be broken by another preferably sharp attack or magic cast by a stronger witch.

Misted Morn
water technique
This technique envelopes an area in thick mist, causing anyone within to lose their sight and for their other senses to also be muffled. The size of the area covered and the thickness of the mist depend on the skill of the user - some experienced users have even been able to make the mist specifically target and trail after an individual. Skilled users may also be able to sense the presence and location of those caught within the mist, though such a feat is far beyond fledglings.

usage of this spell is reccomended with a wand otherwise the resultant blast of lightning-like energy can be hard to direct at a particular target. The bast erupts from the tip of the wand and causes whatever it touches to spasm, often resulting in disarming an enemy or sometimes leaving burn marks depending on the skill of the caster. It is almost always used in duels.

This scroll details how to sense and understand basic charms and hexes, enabling the practitioner to have a more-than-just-fundamental knowledge on enchantment and its applications. Experts can instantly identify what type of magical properties have been added on what kind of items, and make guesses regarding charms they haven’t seen before. The same knowledge can be applied to Augmentation easily, but may be more difficult regarding a more complex and less standardised affinity such as Runescripting.

PURGE
Scroll - Purification
Useful for removing long-lasting hexes and jinxes, this scroll allows the witch to reverse the effects of one mana-induced effect from the target ( i.e. the ability to breathe water as granted by a water-breathing potion, or being jinxed with ill-timed hiccups ). It requires knowledge of the spell, and attempting to purify such an effect without such often leads to disastrous side effects.

DETECTION

A basic spell for purifiers, this scroll allows the witch to sense the presence of mana manipulation in a large radius, and is particularly useful in locating a starting-point to begin any environmental purification. Unlike the 'Clear Sight' volumes, this spell does not help in identifying the affinity used, though could aid in coming to a conclusion.

BREAK FLOW
Scroll - Purification
Break flow can be used to attempt to disrupt a spell that is in progress, cutting off the control of mana flow from a witch. It can end up causing more problems than if the spell was allowed to be completed, however, so knowledge of the specific spell the purifier is trying to interrupt is essential.

TEMPERATURE BREAK
Scroll - Purification
A basic spell for helping to deal with spells that utilise temperature changes in some manner. Though fledglings may only be able to break a heating spell on a cup of coffee, more experienced witches can break down complicated spells such as a fire tornado or a magical blizzard, or access dangerous, magically created extreme temperature areas. The spell lets the user dissipate the temperature effects of a spell - removing the heat from a fire ball (which will still burn flesh and cloth), or breaking the frozen part of an icicle to revert it to water (which will still have momentum and could be refrozen or otherwise manipulated).

REDIRECT, SCROLL 2
Scroll - Purification
The caster redirects the flow of mana from two different spells such that they collide into each other, usually to explosive effects. Higher leveled spells, and spells cast by strong witches, are more difficult to manipulate.

INTEGRATION
Scroll - Purification
Instead of reverting or resetting the environmental mana to its original levels, this scroll allows the witch to integrate mana from spells into the natural surroundings. While this spell is active, other nearby spells will be weakened, but once this spell is completed, the available environmental mana will be heightened and subsequent spells will be stronger. Inexperienced purifiers will often find that they can only effect a small radius, and only on weaker spells, but in the hands of masters, this scroll can change the course of a battle.

NEGATION
Scroll - Purification
This scroll allows the witch to temporarily negate the magical property of an artifact or item, though the duration and effectiveness of the negation depends on the strength of the caster and the strength of the magical property. When used by powerful witches on weaker artifacts, this spell has been known to permanently destroy the item in question.

This scroll caters to the basics of augmentation - the ability to manipulate the attribute of durability. Upon being cast on another witch, or themselves, the subject will find their durability increasing several fold. While this boost isn't much for beginners, more experienced witches can cast augments that will increase their durability by thrice their natural ability. Works best against blunt force damage versus sharp force damage.

A small, golden bell that appears to have been taken from a fool’s cap. This object was given upon being accepted into Jester's Den. Though it seems like a simple keepsake, this item will serve as your character’s lifeline in the face of imminent peril. When the bearer’s mana reaches critical levels, all items made similarly will begin to glow as a mass signal is sent to witches of your coven, allowing them to come to your aid should anything happen. May be used once to escape death.

SERPENTVINE BOW
ENCHANTED WEAPON - RANGED
Any wooden arrow shot from this bow will sprout large vines which coil and constrict around the arrow's target when it makes contact. There are some command words which can instruct the vines to bind themselves to nearby objects as well, or to cease movement entirely, making them a useful utility when navigating wooded areas; they can become hanging ropes or vine bridges depending on the needs of the wielder. The vines remain active for a few minutes, so they best be utilized as quickly as possible after they're created.
