this is Salem, a land filled with magic and maladies. It is a place where witches and their elemental familiars gather, a home to legend and
lore that predates time itself. Yet of all the wicked and wonderful stories the past can tell us of, the most magical are the ones yet to happen.
This is Salem - this is the start of your very own journey. Welcome to starfall
Starfall is an animaga witch roleplay set in mostly modern times. Members play as witches in a world plagued by monsters, where the only safe spots are walled cities. Starfall strives to be a character-driven roleplay with expansive lore and a highly interactive plotline. We want to allow members to
create and look back on a magical journey, and mold the site and its plot as their characters grow.

that was you.
the rush of freefalling is not an antidote to the headache, but the fresh air certainly helps. or, perhaps, the growing distance that they put between them and the building -- he knows that he cannot blame a physical structure for the pain, and that it is solely his fault, but still.
"i don't think i've been there before," he comments; there is a lightness to his walk that picks up as they move, the ease of someone used to operating in less-than-presentable areas of town. he thinks a little more. "oh wait, maybe i have." the roads certainly look more familiar.
"i think i may have broken a chair there. or a table." he doesn't elaborate. "oops."
they make it there in good time, maddox peering curiously into the dimly lit interior, vague familiarity coming to greet him as he does. he's almost tempted to order a drink ( the bar is right there ) but really, given his current state it would hardly help. instead, he asks for 'larua' -- directions are given in as taciturn a manner possible, the bartender completely tossing any concept of grammar out of the window for sake of brevity -- and eventually finds himself outside a wooden door.
he raises a hand and raps his knuckles sharply against it.

blue moon
you saw me standing alone
their steps are light as they approach the bar, both walking with the easy assurance of people intimately familiar with the rougher parts of salem. kasimir huffs in quiet amusement as maddox comments on his previous experience with the dragon's den - even if this is but the second time they have interacted at length, he has experienced enough of his partner's... unique method of operating that such a story seems entirely feasible and in line with his character.
the sky is just beginning to acquire the barest hint of gloom when they arrive - they have completed the mission in quite good time, kasimir thinks; directions are given, drinks ignored in favour of marx ( though likely not without some temptation - kirjava's memory of maddox drinking on the job is still fresh in her mind ), and it ends with a single wooden door behind which sits their client.
they enter. it is dimly lit. of course it is - marx seems just like the type to want 'ambiance'. said client pins them with nervous yet eager eyes as soon as he sees them; "what have you found?" he demands without pausing even for a greeting.
kasimir flicks a fleeting sidelong glance at his partner, then steps forth to detail everything he and kirjava have learnt. it is a long list.

that was you.
it takes a moment for his eyes to adjust to the dim light, and a longer moment -- minutes, really -- for kasimir to detail their findings. maddox interjects occassionally, but for the most part, focuses on maintaining the athenuem interface.
it is a good deal more visible than before, casting a soft green-blue light as he navigates through the copied information alongside his partner's explanations. they had been busy since dawn -- it is no wonder there is so much to say.
eventually, thankfully, it does come to a halt; the interface vanishes a second before kasimir reaches his conclusion. marx, whose eyes had been anxiously darting across the information, oops drawn into a thin line, finally speaks up. "i have a lot to think about," says the man, crisply, hands steepled before him. "i will contact you two again if i see the need for further action."
there are too many loose ends for maddox to consider it a fitting conclusion, not only to marx, but in satisfying his own curiosity. "don't take too long," is what he ends up saying; nods at marx as he backs away, and gives kasimir a friendly pat on the back as he goes past. "see you around, man."
