death occurs when:[break][break]
a character is killed due to certain IC circumstances, and they are not found to be carrying a coven trinket or other death prevention items.

"certain IC circumstances" may include:[break][break]
failing to meet the requirements of a death enabled event[break]
other circumstances as will be specified prior during a death enabled event[break]
mutual consent in a thread between members[break]
consent in a moderate thread or mission[break]
a consequence of action, usually specified prior, given that the character is a spy or on a special/spy mission[break]
a consequence of action, usually specified prior, given that a character is threading with a hostile NPC.[break][break]
when a character dies, the following are given to the player member as compensation and acknowledgment for their death:[break]
1. their rank may be transferred to a new character (not prexisting)[break]
2. their gold may be transferred to a character (preexisting or new)[break]
3. there may be positive IC after effects for their coven, or negative IC consequences for other factors based on mutual consent[break][break]
the character must die icly in a completed thread for any compensation to take place. when collecting benefits, staff asks that you use all benefits at once and go through the notifs thread
If you no longer wish to RP a character, but they haven't died IC, you can still transfer AP from the abandoned character to your current ones! However, the AP which the active character receives will be at a reduced rate of 75%, deductions rounded down. The abandoned character from which AP is being transferred cannot be revived and RPed again until 3 months has passed (to prevent abuse of the system).
