Basile Roux, the witch hidden among the flowers and like them, he is sweet though holds the potential to be lethal. [break][break]
His childhood was a fleeting thought, the flame that once burned within him was smothered by dreams that were built far too high and extinguished underneath the weight it bore– only soot and ashes left behind in its wake. Basile had spent his youth pleasing the wishes of his doting parents despite the daunting roads they paved for him; their expectations were meant to be well-intentioned though the grandeur of it all had made it seem otherwise.[break][break]
Regardless of the strained relationship that it formed, he continued to remain loyal to both his mother and father. The Roux family held little nobility within their blood and within their name, a miniscule clan that kept their allegiance with the Helios Knights despite being surrounded by several prominent families that held endless wealth. Basile understood the struggles his family faced, the hard work and perseverance that his parents put forth to allow him to achieve luxuries that they could not– he did not want to disappoint them. He did not want them to assume that their hard work had been all for naught, moreso when he showed that he held potential. [break][break]
Ecstatic and delighted with the abilities that their only son held, his mother and father enlisted the assistance of a mentor; a witch that could teach him the knowledge that he needed to excel to meet the same potential his peers seemed to have. Much to his dismay, his mentor held a brutish mentality; one that was a stark contrast to his own. His mentor was stubborn, a man that viewed the world in a narrow lens while the knowledge of magic and alchemy would slowly be engraved within the very depth of his own mind. Basile endured his studies for the most part, promptly joining the ranks of the Knights when he felt confident with his own capabilities.[break][break]
Unlike the hell forged world his mentor seemed to see, Basile found potential within the coven. Throughout the years, he stowed himself away within his studies in pursuit to forge a spell that could help others. His mentor may have been a man constantly at arms, but Basile refused to trek down the same path his teacher had. Forging his own garden of eden, Basile made his own sanctuary; dabbling in herbalism and medicine, alongside his own studies of alchemy.
give me one last kiss,
while we're far too young to die
