this is Salem, a land filled with magic and maladies. It is a place where witches and their elemental familiars gather, a home to legend and
lore that predates time itself. Yet of all the wicked and wonderful stories the past can tell us of, the most magical are the ones yet to happen.
This is Salem - this is the start of your very own journey. Welcome to starfall
Starfall is an animaga witch roleplay set in mostly modern times. Members play as witches in a world plagued by monsters, where the only safe spots are walled cities. Starfall strives to be a character-driven roleplay with expansive lore and a highly interactive plotline. We want to allow members to
create and look back on a magical journey, and mold the site and its plot as their characters grow.
The female knight walked ahead of him in comfortable silence. It was like being escorted out of the building by an older sibling or parent. Like he was going to his room to go to sleep. It was kind of nice... no talking but no crushing loneliness for now.
They make it out of the building before she calls for him. It looks like a charm shop... or at least from what he recalls. It smells of heavy incense to be honest so it could be mistaken for an apothecary by smell alone. Of course the items on display put all that to rest it was a place of trinkets and charms.
Then she talks about the mana mark and having something for him. Well now he kind of remembered what that thing was... to be honest he'd only seen her use it once or twice. "Yes. I think so. It's the spell you use to mark items or link them to see changes in them... or something like that?" He kind of got the gist of it. The very basics but that was about it.

"Yes, that is correct," Claire says. "Wait here." It's getting quite late, and so Claire takes it upon herself to choose the jewel. One scan at the glass cases glues her to gold. She picks a relatively light and small gold nugget. She bought two. The shop owner is barely paying attention, but still Claire makes sure to give the right amount. Then she goes back to where Charani is standing.
She presses her thumb onto a nugget, and engraves a unique snowflake on it. She puts the same mark to the other gold piece. She pockets the latter, then hands out the former to the purifier. "A parting gift," Claire manages. "I'd have to re-mark it after some time, but for the meantime you can call me using that, and vice-versa. Re-marking wouldn't be a problem. I'm sure we'll find each other at the Knight's Hall."
Claire counts the people she has given mana-marked items. Her sister, Lucena, and Charani. Being an ice witch do have its perks. The snowflakes look alike, but each is individual of the other. The tokens provide a unique form of communication. Such a handy thing. Now that she's done her task, it's about time for her to leave.
"I'll see you around, then, Charani." She turns and makes her way out of the shop. Claire slides open the door, and before she closes it, she gives the brunette one last look. "Oh, and if things got dire, purifying it should not be a problem." And her gaze is icy and telling, as if she somehow knows. Well, Claire doesn't. But fate is playful, and no one is safe.
These are dangerous times, after all.
