this is Salem, a land filled with magic and maladies. It is a place where witches and their elemental familiars gather, a home to legend and
lore that predates time itself. Yet of all the wicked and wonderful stories the past can tell us of, the most magical are the ones yet to happen.
This is Salem - this is the start of your very own journey. Welcome to starfall
Starfall is an animaga witch roleplay set in mostly modern times. Members play as witches in a world plagued by monsters, where the only safe spots are walled cities. Starfall strives to be a character-driven roleplay with expansive lore and a highly interactive plotline. We want to allow members to
create and look back on a magical journey, and mold the site and its plot as their characters grow.

It is not death that I fear, but never living.
Having to put her trust in another person was something Tsubaki had immediately regretted about this mission, but the pay was certainly good enough for her to deal with her discomfort. Most people would have probably possessed a bit more faith in their coven, but really, coven members were just other people with the same failings and faults as everyone else. Simple nomenclature couldn't overwrite human condition. She sighed, watching the workers move across the storehouse. She'd spoken to a few so far, but nothing conclusive had been told.[break][break]
"Disappointing," she muttered as she took a bite of her bread roll, her eyes glancing down at her shadow. "You'd think people who complained about a problem would at least know about it, but no." Her eyes rolled, another crunch following as she broke the crust of the bread again. "Whatever. It sounds like some generic were-rat issue, nothing we shouldn't be able to take care of with the other girl."[break][break]
"Saskia," Echo interjected, "She called herself Saskia." Tsuga nodded, finishing the bread before continuing. "The name was on the approval request, sure, but we haven't met her yet, and we're only here right now because home is close. I don't know her, and she doesn't know me, and until that changes she's 'that girl'." She kicked herself off the crate, landing on the ground with a tap. "Besides, It would be weird to address someone you've never met as though they were your friend already, no?"

[attr="class","ccscroll"]it isn’t her usual fare of missions, but she supposes some change is all well and good from time to time. it is, after all, high time she ventured out of dog-catching and letter-delivering and shop-minding. she is a novice of coven silvertongue, infamous mercenaries and all sorts of people who make their living in the shadows, but you would not think it so when you saw her.[break][break]
there is lightness to her step and a twinkle in her eyes, and saskia looks the part of a kid on a cheerful morning meander through the marketplace, if not for the sword hanging from her belt. she pesters the workers en-route to the rendezvous with a million-watt smile and rapid-fire words — hi! hello! how’re you doing? love those socks, blue suits you really well. by the way, you wouldn’t happen to know anything about the wererats, right?[break][break]
they seem perplexed by the way she whirls through, her familiar following behind at a more sedate pace, murmuring vague apologies. to say the least, saskia does not get any modicum of useful answers. she does discover, however, that one miner has a delightful taste in fashionable socks, and that another heartily recommends a bakery on the edge of town, which apparently has the best chocolate croissants around.[break][break]
eventually, she finds ( she thinks, at least ), her partner for the mission. she sticks her hand out for a handshake, her grin bright and unwavering. “saskia — pleasure working with you on this mission!”
