[attr="class","itsover"]"I kinda' wish you were a pack-mule," Glenn said offhandedly as he balanced several books between the nook of his chin, stacked right down to his arms that were folded across his chest. Recipes for success as he liked to call it- nothing as important as scrolls or tomes, but all of 'equal' importance in his opinion! How to cook, how to sleep soundly at night, how to speak to others, simple yet staple items in any keepers collection![break][break]
In his opinion.[break][break]
Glenn was wearing a casual set of clothes, though a set of clothes that were still out of the norm for people of the hovel. He adamantly refused to wear anything as 'regal' as what his family typically had him wear, and settled for a nice white dress shit and casual slacks and shoes. With his long blonde hair and blue eyes, he may have looked just like royalty when compared to the less than fortunate citizens - though he'd never consider himself as such.[break][break]
Silvio, the aptly named silverish Greyhound, did little but glance in its partners direction- a snobbish expression as it rolled its eyes. A pack mule? A pack mule wasn't nearly as useful in a fight, and it took little time for the familiar to rationalize himself as being correct without uttering a word.[break][break]
"If only wishing actually did something." Glenn flinched when his familiar decided to bite back, and a retort swam up through his throat before he knew it-[break][break]
"Sometimes they do! Remember when I summoned that rabbit?" He smirked as he proudly reminisced on the memory, though Silvio simply rolled his eyes again as they continued to walk down the shabby, run down road. [break][break]
"Summon something more useful next time, maybe you'll make it past fledgling then." Glenn flinched again, Silvio knew exactly how to hit him in the soft spots- cursed little thing. He took a glance back at his familiar with a scowl-[break][break]
And even as Glenn was on route to slam directly into some poor, unsuspecting bystander; Silvio simply slowed its pace to a standstill and sat down to watch the event unfold.[break][break]
Glenn; however, was still deadlocked in his glare at Silvio- he hadn't expected someone to abruptly walk out in his path, and he fell head over heels within moments. The books he was holding scattered, their pages fluttering through the air as they danced to the ground.[break][break]
"GfhAH.." He bit his tongue as he tumbled, and made a painful noise at that.
Scratching the backside of his head, Glenn slowly propped himself into a sitting position as he assessed the damage to his clothes: White dress shirt was now dirty dress shirt, and casual slacks were now dirty slacks. Then it clicked, and he immediately began to scramble to collect his books and pages before they would truly be scattered with the wind.
