this is Salem, a land filled with magic and maladies. It is a place where witches and their elemental familiars gather, a home to legend and
lore that predates time itself. Yet of all the wicked and wonderful stories the past can tell us of, the most magical are the ones yet to happen.
This is Salem - this is the start of your very own journey. Welcome to starfall
Starfall is an animaga witch roleplay set in mostly modern times. Members play as witches in a world plagued by monsters, where the only safe spots are walled cities. Starfall strives to be a character-driven roleplay with expansive lore and a highly interactive plotline. We want to allow members to
create and look back on a magical journey, and mold the site and its plot as their characters grow.
your group has failed to meet the win condition of the previous round. the win condition was individual in nature, and it was to stay calm and be quiet. [break][break] as a result, @regi has died. my condolences, may you have more luck in the living world.

group d, final round
"how long is one able to resist sleep, until they go mad? not even the strongest mages can avoid fatigue. even those who move mountains, those who cast spirits and the star's powers, they too must lay down and close their eyes eventually. and that is their weakness." [break] - unknown, untitled grimoire [break][break]The straps do not bend to the witch's will. Despite the witches' best attempts, they are trapped against the bed for what seems like an eternity. Their screams are pierce the air in their cells, and they can hear hushed voices as the footsteps grow louder. [break][break] Faceless bodies approach the cell. They peer in through glass walls. One could tell that they're not happy with the results, and when they speak, it's louder, more discernible. They're useless. Destroy them. [break][break] One walks in before they take the torch, holding it up for the witches to see before throwing it on the ground. [break][break] Slowly, the flames spread, crawling across the floor. [break][break] The faceless have left. Flames dance across the wooden floor, growing quickly. The heat is insufferable, and they start to suffocate under the smoke. The witches are left to watch their own demise. A slow and painful death for their transgressions. [break][break] @regi is the first to be burned alive. [break][break] the last two witches wake up in a cold sweat. the others who have died have woken up surrounded by faces of their coven members. your trinket had sensed critical levels of mana, they say, but nothing's wrong with you. [break][break] perhaps it was just a dream after all. [break][break] none of it was real. seeing as the witches woke up unharmed, it might have just been hyper realistic. they were panicking about nothing--there's no way they could have died from a simple nightmare, after all. [break][break] or was there? [break][break]
congratulations to maddox rothscus ✨ , Cassius Constantine , and Ai Tsukuyomi , you have have survived the demon's nightmare. because this is the last group to finish, your rewards will be posted shortly. [break][break] it is now time to wake up.
He heard the voices, and saw the tall, faceless creatures enter the room. He began cursing at them, unimaginably as they called them useless. Then they dropped the torch. The room went up in flames. All of their rooms went up in flames. He could see Ai crying in the room over. He swore vengeance upon the creatures, cursing them in every tongue he possibly could. He swore as he smoke and flames enveloped the room until the smoke began to fill his lungs, and the heat began to scald his skin. He cursed them relentlessly, all his anger pouring out upon the world about him.
And then he woke.
The force with which his body instinctively threw him up caused the hammock he had been resting in to almost dump his body out upon the loft. Beck let out a surprised quack as Cassius let out a panicked gasp for air, flapping from his perch and turning to his witch. "Cass, are you all right?"
He felt the sweat across his skin as he looked about him, recognizing the small warehouse he lived out of. His body kept reflexively coughing up, thinking there was still smoke in his lungs. His mind was still swimming, trying to piece together everything he had experienced.
Then he remembered Ai.
He threw himself out of his hammock, groggily throwing on his glass goggles so he could see, a tanktop, and his boots, Beck fluttering down on his shoulder, questioning him what was going on. Cass didn't hear him though, his mind solely focused on the well-being of his covenmate.
He took off sprinting in the dark night, the light of the lamps and the light of the moon the only thing guiding him on his dead sprint, working by memory until he came to her residence. He made his way in in a blind panic, rushing until he found her, and embraced her, telling her it would all be okay now.
