this is Salem, a land filled with magic and maladies. It is a place where witches and their elemental familiars gather, a home to legend and
lore that predates time itself. Yet of all the wicked and wonderful stories the past can tell us of, the most magical are the ones yet to happen.
This is Salem - this is the start of your very own journey. Welcome to starfall
Starfall is an animaga witch roleplay set in mostly modern times. Members play as witches in a world plagued by monsters, where the only safe spots are walled cities. Starfall strives to be a character-driven roleplay with expansive lore and a highly interactive plotline. We want to allow members to
create and look back on a magical journey, and mold the site and its plot as their characters grow.

"Don't worry, you'll be alright." A hushed voice spoke from behind a few shrubs, carrying little emotion in them despite uttering words of encouragement. Bright vermillion tresses peeked from behind the thorny shrubs as Daphne crouched down with her hand extended out to a small creature. With her familiar keeping an eye out for danger, her mistress would focus her attention on said creature, a cat, by the shrubs. Injured and on its side, the young feline seemed to be palpitating heavily. [break][break]
The leviathan girl was no better, seeing how her hair a mess and minor bruises decorated her petite frame. She could say it was 'curiosity' that dragged her out here, but that would be a lie she couldn't even convince herself of. Nay, Daphne Atmore was here today to challenge herself; to see if these so-called 'dangerous' beasts were worth training against. And she found out soon enough, evident as she had wounds to show for it and was fortunate enough to have remained in one piece so far. Regardless, her welfare wasn't a top priority when it came to the lives of the litter of kittens and their mother she managed to jeopardize; one of who now was before her. [break][break]
Because despite her cold exterior, the girl actually had a heart. [break][break]
But with the sun sinking behind the hills and darkness soon to set, the fledgling couldn't venture back to the city lest being spotted by the more dangerous of creatures that came out in the dark. Instead, with her familiar on guard around her, the girl remained by the injured cat's side, hoping her rudimentary first aid skills would be of some help. "Hm?" And it would be then that her ears piqued to the rustling of bushes in the distance. [break][break]
The ocelot would immediately growl and take a stance, ready to pounce on whatever that emerged. As for Daphne, she'd snap her head towards the thicket with eyes narrowed and mana being conjured at her palm. "Who's there?!" She'd demand sternly despite her panicked heartrate.

Elijah rarely ventured outside of the city, the outskirts dangerous for a fledgling like himself. He's far from strong, and he would rather not depend on his trinket so early. That wouldn't bode well for his reputation, a young fledgling who had gotten in trouble way over their head --no, it simply won't do, because he's already having a difficult enough time trying to build a name for himself; he would rather stay in the safety of the town.
And yet, Eli couldn't help but linger at the fences, taking glances at the world beyond, and wonder if he'd be out there one day, defending the town against terrible monsters. Curiosity takes hold, and Elijah can't help but venture further, slowly yet catiously. His familiar warns him--he can feel her exasperation from here, her winding body heaving a sigh --but he continues regardless.
The sun dips beneath the horizon, and he looks behind him to make sure that he doesn't get lost. He tries to be as quiet as possible, but he isn't equipped for such an adventure. He crushes foliage under his foot, and he freezes when he hears the growl of an animal.
Who's there?!
A voice sounds, feminine and panicked. He narrows his eyes, reaching into his pocket and feeling for his trinket just in case. Eli dares to take a step forward, and takes a glance at the situation, ready to fight.
Instead, it's another witch, dotted with bruises and cuts, an injured animal laying down before them. Eli's gaze softens, and he splays out his hands in surrender. He didn't want to be potrayed as hostile. He would have even kneeled by her if not for her familiar.
