Starfall is an animaga witch roleplay set in mostly modern times. Members play as witches in a world plagued by monsters, where the only safe spots are walled cities. Starfall strives to be a character-driven roleplay with expansive lore and a highly interactive plotline. We want to allow members to
create and look back on a magical journey, and mold the site and its plot as their characters grow.

It’s heavy concentration can induce mana poisoning if not diluted properly or if to much is taken. It can be safely used on familiars with little ill effect double or tripling their mana capacity and strength. The witch lacks access to this other pool of mana. modification permission: yes

The usefulness and viability of said chimera is dependent on the witches power and species being used. The closer relation between species the easier it is to make a chimera. Scroll - Enchantment
The witch causes clusters of mana to glow, providing a source of light which can be moved around at will. Though used more commonly as a simple illumination spell, it can also be used to identify areas with abnormally high or low densities of mana. The stronger the witch and the more environmental mana there is in an area, the brighter the spell.

MANAPIREMAS
Scroll - Necromancy SYN Can synthesize as COMPANION items
A powerful spell that can bring a recently deceased witch back under the necromancer's power. They cannot generate mana on their own and must drain mana from the living (with the mana of familiars having a particularly strong allure) in order to remain “alive”. Elemental magic is no longer usable, and affinity based magic is weakened by one rank. Though the necromancer can give the manapire an objective which they must work towards, the methods which they use are largely their own decision. Once they run out of mana, their body will not be able to move and the spell will be broken. Death of the witch who created the manapire or a strong purification spell will result in the death of the manapire. They will otherwise remain “alive”. (This may be cast on player characters with no remaining death saves, but only with the player's consent.)
Scroll - Necromancy SYN Can synthesize as REUSABLE items
This scroll teaches the witch to magically shape weapons from bone, with the most famous being that of a handheld scythe or sickle used by the old serial killer known as The Reaper. The weapon can be sharpened to steel quality based on the strength of the witch and amount of bone present. Though they don't possess a consciousness, such weapons usually carry some attribute of the person whose bones they were made from, whether they be strong, elegant, clumsy, or otherwise.

This skill halves the mana and material requirement of necromancy spells which create any sort of undead minion, sentient or otherwise. Though the bodies will be weaker individually, they can also be much more numerous. Who is ready for an undead army?

Scroll - Plantshaping SYN Can synthesize as REUSABLE items
This scroll was allegedly created based upon the legend of the first immortal creation: an olive tree where humanity first took root in this world. Its bark was stronger than diamond and its leaves would never wilt. Based on this story a witch found a way to mimic this power. By infusing a large amount of mana into a branch or root of a tree or wooden object, the caster can increase its durability. Fledglings are able to create objects as strong as stone and masters have been said to create unbreakable objects. Only works on weapons made from plant components like wood or leaves.

This scroll allows the plantshaper to hide seamlessly within or against the side of any bush or tree. They become essentially invisible when unmoving, but can still be detected by magical means. They are physically indistinguishable from the surrounding plant life when not moving.

This scroll was allegedly created based upon the legend of the first immortal creation: an olive tree where humanity first took root in this world. Fledglings can make wooden swords cut an opponent while master have said to be able to cut flesh like paper. Only works on organic materials.

Scroll - Summoning
From a book of incantations to a warrior goddess who is no longer worshiped, the first chapter invokes the goddess's divine power in the form of a bracelet with a highly potent mana focusing crystal in the center. It amplifies all affinity based magic channeled through it between double to triple the regular potency, depending on the strength of the summoner. The verbal incantation for this spell is "My Goddess, grant me the power to vanquish the evil.”

PRAYER OF THE GODDESS: CHAPTER 2
Scroll - Summoning
From a book of incantations to a warrior goddess who is no longer worshiped, the second chapter allows a witch to summon the spear of the goddess for battle. The spear is golden in color with a stem jeweled by a mana focusing crystal. If the summoner infuses their own mana into the crystal, the spear can shoot lightning from its tip. Those who can use actual lightning magic will create far stronger attacks than those who cannot, easily doubling its strength. Anyone who attempts to wield the weapon besides the summoner who cast it will receive a painful shock, but it is otherwise a normal, sturdy weapon. The verbal incantation to invoke this spell is, “My Goddess, may this evil be punished.”

PRAYER OF THE GODDESS: CHAPTER 3
Scroll - Summoning
From a book of incantations to a warrior goddess who is no longer worshipped, the third chapter teaches the witch to summon a small gourd of blessed water with healing properties. It is enough to heal moderate wounds of up to five people or severe wounds of a single person. It requires the water to be poured over the injury for severe wounds but for anything minor, drinking it is enough. The incantation to invoke this spell is “My Goddess, shield our bodies from this evil.”

PRAYER OF THE GODDESS: CHAPTER 4
Scroll - Summoning
From a book of incantations to a warrior goddess who is no longer worshiped, the fourth chapter teaches the witch to summon a metal handheld fan that is golden in color with a mana crystal embedded in its center. By infusing their mana into the crystal, the witch can create an effect similar to an air slice spell. Those with the wind affinity will find their spell to be twice as strong as those of another affinity. The fan can also strengthen any other wind spells the witch may possess. The incantation to invoke this spell is “The Goddess will forgive, and death shall be your repentance.”

BIRDS OF PREY
Scroll - Transfiguration SYN Can synthesize as PERMANENT (Transfiguration ONLY) items
A useful form of transformation magic that allows the witch to transform their body into the shape of a bird. The size and strength of the bird varies on the witch's magical power with fledglings only being able to mimic carrier pigeons and masters being able to mimic the shape of a roc. They are not able to mimic magical birds' spells, but can take their shape and physical strengths.

Scroll - Transfiguration
This skill allows a witch to extend a transfiguration spell which would normally only affect themselves to also transform another person. The mana cost of the transformation is shared by the person being transformed. If the witch is knocked out or their transformation is purified, their ally's transformation is also undone. Only works on willing targets.

PUPPETEER MAGIC: CORPSE PARTY
Scroll - Weaving
The user weaves mana strings into a dead body which they can then control with their hands like a puppet. The user must be within a short to moderate radius of the corpse in order to control it, though this increases with the caster's magical skill. The user has less control over fine motor movement the more puppets they are controlling at once, with a maximum of ten corpses being usable. The strings, being mad of mana, can be cut by anything that can cut or dispel mana.

PUPPETEER MAGIC: FULL BODY ASSISTANCE
Scroll - Weaving
The user attaches strings to an ally witch, allowing the caster to assist in battle or other activities relying on motion-based skill by adjusting their motion and to pull them back if need be. This is also a popular spell used in certain athletic training, such as ballet, to help a person perfect their movements. The strings are felt by the person being assisted and are easily resisted, making it very hard to use against an enemy.

PUPPETEER MAGIC: WEAPON CONTROL
Scroll - Weaving
The witch attaches strings of mana to a tool or weapon in order to manipulate it from afar like a puppet. Strings can also be attached through direct contact with an enemy's weapon, allowing the witch to disarm the opponent or alter their weapon's movement. Note that it is more difficult to effectively control tools which rely on physical strength to work.

Scroll - General
The user forces their mana into a non-permanent curse until it overloads, breaking it. The effect causes momentary intense pain when being performed, with stronger curses causing more intense pain. Requires physical touch to work.

TOME OF NIGHTINGALE 1: POISON REMOVAL
Scroll - General
A simple poison removal spell which can eliminate most weak poisons, or lessen the severity of more potent varieties. The more powerful the caster, the greater the volume and strength of poison they can remove. This works best when cast soon after the poison is introduced, and is not be as effective against magical poisons.

TOME OF NIGHTINGALE 2: ANTIBIOTIC
Scroll - General
The user pours their mana into a wound to stave off infection, causing their mana to act like a supercharged bacteria killer. Often used in hospitals when dealing with slow healing wounds such as amputations, it is also highly effective against fungus based spells, killing things like bacteria and mushrooms when they come into contact with it.

TOME OF NIGHTINGALE 3: MANA NEEDLE
Scroll - General
The user creates acupuncture-like needles with their mana which can stimulate (or numb) nerves more effectively than the non-magical variety. The needles are often used in conjunction with thread based spells to facilitate wound closure when creating stitches. They are generally handled in the same way as a normal needle, so are best used on willing or restrained subjects.

TOME OF NIGHTINGALE 4: NERVE BLOCK
Scroll - General
With a touch, a witch can pour mana into a particular area of a body in order to block feeling in that area, often used for pain control or as a form of localized anesthesia in a pinch. Though most often used for healing, it can also be utilized in combat situations to cause a loss of feeling in opponents. The amount of time the block is effective depends on the strength of the witch, with inexperienced witches spells lasting minutes while masters cant last weeks.

TOME OF NIGHTINGALE 5: VERSED
Scroll - General
With a gentle touch and a few seconds of patience, the caster can create a calming effect by pouring a large amount of mana into another person's head. It requires good control of how much mana is used, since too much will cause a slowed mental state, and too little will cause the spell to backfire on the caster, causing a small zap of pain and brief disorientation. This spell is utilized in both physical and psychological medical practices.

TOME OF NIGHTINGALE 6: CURSE SEALING
Scroll - General
The user can temporarily seal low level curses using their mana, thereby temporarily cancelling its effect or stalling its progress. While not a cure for the affliction, this can allow them the needed time to find a purification specialist or curse breaker. The stronger the witch, the more time the curse can be blocked for.

name of scroll: Principles of Alchemy: Hermetic Circle affinity: Alchemy description: The first book most alchemists end up reading. It takes a witch to draw a hermetic circle used in spell craft. It also has the added effect of boosting any other alchemy spells when the caster is within the circles radius. The stronger the witch the stronger the amplification. The spell requires physically drawing the circle without the ability of Quick Circles. modification permission: yep!
name of scroll: Principles of Alchemy: Partial Transmutation affinity: Alchemy description: The process of transmutation follows three simple steps. Comprehension, Destruction and the Reconstruction. This spells stops the process at step two destroying whatever object the user is trying to transmute. It was created based on the Force spell. Instead of fully sacrificing an object this simply breaks it. A hermetic circle is required like its father spell. Organic material is notoriously difficult to transmute so inorganic objects are much easier for this spell to destroy. modification permission: yep!
name of scroll: Gloves of the Hermetic Order affinity: Crafting description: This pair of gloves are inscribed with small hermetic circles on them for an alchemists use. It allows up to two free uses of hermetic circle based scrolls for those without the quick circles perk by summoning a stored circle from the glove. The stronger the crafter the larger the circle that can be stored inside the gloves. modification permission: yep!
name of scroll: Trick Knife: Mana Marked affinity: Crafting description: This knife and sheath of the blade have mana mark applied to them. Applying a small amount of mana to either of them will attract the other allowing for you the sheath the blade even when out of reach. The range this will work depends on the skill of the crafter with novices only allowing a few feet of distance. Be careful not to be in the blades path it will hurt. modification permission: yep!
name of scroll: Trick Knife: Illusion Blade affinity: Crafting description: This blade has an illusion cast upon it that shows a blade that can be either longer or shorter than the real blade (or perhaps without a blade at all). Even if the knife itself is broken or blade less it appears like you have a regular old knife. modification permission: yep!
name of scroll: Combat Blueprints 070: Bomb Piñata affinity: Crafting description: This blueprint creates a small sphere that houses a bunch of smaller bombs. When thrown and cracked the bombs disperse outward and explode upon contact with another object. Frequent indiscriminate use of this can lead to solitary confinement. modification permission: yep!

DREAMSHAPING
Scroll - Divination
A full dream or nightmare, or simply components thereof, concocted in the mind of a seer can be forced into the minds of sleeping targets. This can also be used in conjunction with the dreamwalking skill for the seer to both observe and control a pre-existing dream. Typically, the effects of this scroll need to be administered in close proximity to the dreamer. This can cause subtle or dramatic changes, or be used to guide the dreamer to an exit or to drive them deeper into their subconcious.

A spell that allows a witch to draw the creator of a dream spell into their created dream. This can even be used from within a dream, and even when the other spell's creator is awake. It acts as a siren's call trying to merge the subconsciouses together to create a shared dream between the original caster and their target. While inside this dream both witches are constrained to the dreams rules. Other dream spells used by either witch are exempt from this, though.

THE MODERN DREAMWALKER #2
Scroll - Divination
A re-written scroll from the original Urusla's "The Dreamwalker" - this one pertains to connecting the dreams of two or more sleeping individuals into a shared dream. It requires an object of each target as well as them to be sleeping. When used it combines any existing dreams together and dumps the witches into the strongest dream currently in progress. Like the first scroll those within the dream have no ability to alter the dream parameters and are subject to all established rules of the dream. They still interact with each other in the role the dream determines for them.

A witch creates high pressure mana into a single point that attracts stardust. The stardust compacts to create a dense, rocky core. This small celestial body emits large amounts of tidal forces causing water and ice magic to go wild. These elemental magics are cast with increased power in exchange for a lack of control. The small moon is cold to the touch and can cause frostbite if touched with bare flesh.

The witch creates and orb connected to a pocket dimension of replicating amounts of seawater. Allows for the witch to pour out water from this orb wherever mana is available for use of water based attacks. By using large amounts of mana the witch can also create a high pressure burst of water from the orb similar to the water dragon bullet spell.

This spell uses verbal magic to create a desired effect. With a haunting song, this spell creates ghostly chains to bind a target and their ability to use mana. The witch can not control the chains after creation unless they possess metallokinesis magic. The spell can be cancelled by interrupting the incantation, after which the full incantation must be restarted. Any witch trapped with these chains cannot use spells, but familiars are immune and may still use their magic to break or dispel the chains.

The witch cannot control the rainstorm after creation unless they also possess relevant water spells. The spell can be cancelled by interrupting the incantation, after which the full incantation must be restarted.

The first scroll creates the illusion of paralysis in the victim tricking the brain into thinking they have been the subject of a paralysis agent. The more powerful the witch the more expansive the paralysis, with beginners only creating a slight numb feeling.

Created during a Great War allegedly by the former Leviathan Cult this comes from a series of torture spells for information gathering. The second scroll creates an illusion which tricks the brain to think it's under the influence of truth serum. Often used when there was none available, this is easier to resist than the actual potion. Fledgling witches often can only get small surface truths while masters spells work almost as good as the real thing.

The third scroll creates the illusion of frigid daggers the illusionist can use to inflict pain. These daggers can cut or stab into the victim to create a feeling of coldness and pain. Weaker witches knives are the equivalent coldness of ice cubes and stronger witches can feel on the level of frost bite.

The fifth scroll creates the illusion of drowning, making the victim's lungs feel heavy and full of liquid. The victim will feel like they are struggling to breathe. Often used in small spurts, like water torture.

Scroll - Alchemy SYN Can synthesize as LIMITED USE items
Created during a Great War allegedly by the former Leviathan Cult this purple liquid becomes gaseous and highly toxic to organic matter when exposed to sunlight. Beginners often have trouble with the very specific mixing ratios and will often cause only mild discomfort while masters will seriously compromise the breathing if anyone who inhales it, causing an effect similar to an asthma attack.

DIVINE INVOCATION, VOLUME 2: CAGE OF SOULS
Scroll - Summoning
Summons spirit cages from the god of the afterlife. These cages have the ability to trap anything from the inner strata inside to keep it from dematerializing. This includes astral projections, wraiths, and familiars. It also blocks spell usage for whatever is inside. It is however, just a normal cage and can be easily broken or the lock picked from the outside.

DIGITAL SHRAPNEL
Scroll - Necromancy
The user fires the distal finger bones from their own hand(s) with high speed, creating damaging projectiles. The user then can regrow said bones using their mana. The amount of time it takes to regrow these bones and the speed of fire depend on the witch's rank.

BONE BREAKING STRIKE

The user concentrates necromantic magic into an open palm strike, pouring it directly into the enemy. The magic attacks the calcium in the bone cells, causing them to degrade and weaken so they become more brittle and easy to break with their strike. Enhanced bones will only slightly weaken, but not break like normal bone would. Requires contact and a large amount of mana to penetrate the skin, meaning novices are usually only able to get in one or two strikes at best.

Uses mana to fuse bones together to create a usable wand or staff for the user. Requires existing bones to use and will break with extended use. Advanced and Master level spells will cause the staff to break. Amount of spells usable per staff is determined by level.

The witch is able to clearly see and identify necromancy spells that are currently active. Like the other spells of this nature, the user is able to gain insight into how the spell functions to more easily disarm it. Called the devil's eye because the caster's eyes turn black while in use.
