Vera would absolutely go to Nike's café, you don't even have to ask about this. I honestly like both of your prompts and wouldn't mind doing either (or both!) Vera's always had to try every single one of the cafés that open all around Sundial, and I can definitely see her tasting a pastry she really loves at La Rue and spending so much time trying to pinpoint the ingredients in it because it just tastes like heaven. 150% in character.

The other scenario is just as likely, and I think it'd be infinitely adorable for Vera to take Nike around the shopping district and show her around her own favorite shops for bakery supplies and the like.

Personally, I would prefer if they met at Nike's café, and then met again while shopping. Either way, Vera's bound to drop by a lot afterwards and be that obnoxious friend who's always seeking her out and talking too much, but this order would maximize cuteness. And doki points.

As for that job at the café, I'm actually not sure what would happen. Vera's own family runs a chain of chocolatéries, and even though she doesn't work there yet, she does feel responsible for the various shops around the city. She'd most likely prioritize her family's business over any other, but! Since a café is rather different from a chocolatérie, she'd definitely be interested and would love to help out. More so if by doing so she also helps out a friend. In other words: use her as free labor. You're welcome to.
