this is Salem, a land filled with magic and maladies. It is a place where witches and their elemental familiars gather, a home to legend and
lore that predates time itself. Yet of all the wicked and wonderful stories the past can tell us of, the most magical are the ones yet to happen.
This is Salem - this is the start of your very own journey. Welcome to starfall
Starfall is an animaga witch roleplay set in mostly modern times. Members play as witches in a world plagued by monsters, where the only safe spots are walled cities. Starfall strives to be a character-driven roleplay with expansive lore and a highly interactive plotline. We want to allow members to
create and look back on a magical journey, and mold the site and its plot as their characters grow.

[attr="class","mtag_edit"] fane handles things calmly, as she always does. the same cannot be said of maddox -- beneath a thin veneer of watchful calm, he is coiled, tense for battle.
but it does not come.
instead he watches in shock and disbelief as fane simply agrees to follow the knights back, peaceful as that. the spell fizzles to nothing in his hands, the axe remains untouched, and he leans back against the bar. maddox watches the interaction between fane and the knights carefully, still mildly stunned; maybe she’ll change her mind, maybe this is a momentary ploy to draw their attention away so the bar can spring into action, maybe he will fight today. but again, it does not come.
moosely murmurs, watching the events play out from behind his eyes, ‘this is not what i thought she meant.’ ( and maddox concurs. )
he lets his gaze slide briefly to zephyr, curious and questioning, wondering if his brother has any more of an idea what fane has in store. but even there he finds no immediate answers. his eyes drop once more to the empty glass, now considering the next plan of action. if fane said not to worry about her, then perhaps he should try not to. for now, he should check with zephyr if he knew anything -- his brother had always been closer to fane than himself, after all -- and then, probably talk to basil. maybe he knew something.
"Thank you for being so understanding Miss Fane." His smile lit up to his eyes. They were like little stars twinkling in front of dead night... hollowed from exhaustion. He was so tired. So very tired he just wanted to go to bed and sleep. He believed her words; believed she was being genuine. Or maybe it was she was such a good liar she could mask even the fact she was lying? Who knows.
Teddy remained eyeing the witches at the bar... especially maddox rothscus ✨ as he... well he didn't really like him to be honest. It was just a feeling the canine familiar had but he just didn't like it. Well to be honest it was more like he didn't trust most men. It was a flaw of his.
"Yes of course. Please follow me. Oh is there anything you need to grab first Miss? Like a bag or something? If not then let's be off!" He turned around on his heel as he finished his statement. He turned his head back as he started walking with the same smile on his lips. He would get to go to bed soon and hopefully not have another nightmare. Another vision.
He would turn his attention back towards the door and leaving the place when he saw Fane following. Teddy of course would attempt to be behind the cloaking witch just in case she tried anything funny. The seer however was much less vigilant on the woman's movements. She seemed nice enough after all. They could have the wrong person... or maybe she just had information the upper levels wanted.
Fane does not need to glance towards the younger Leviathans to know that they're disappointed -- unsatisfied. Who wouldn't be, when the enemy had just intruded on their den, and no one had put up a fight. What was the point of having claws if they were never used? What was the point of having a purpose if no action was taken to achieve it? [break][break] They were all starving... For something -- for anything. [break][break] "They can wait a bit longer," Amélie mutters within their mindspace. [break][break] "I'm not sure that I can," Fane replies, though they both knew that she had already proven she can wait for far longer than most. [break][break] She shakes her head at the bright Knight boy, "I'm sure there's no need. And my coworkers can finish up the wash," she mentions offhandedly as she follows the two Knights outside. She does not put up a fight. She does not intend to. [break][break] The Knights remove the enchantment from the area. The door to the bar closes. And just like that, Fane is gone.
