this is Salem, a land filled with magic and maladies. It is a place where witches and their elemental familiars gather, a home to legend and
lore that predates time itself. Yet of all the wicked and wonderful stories the past can tell us of, the most magical are the ones yet to happen.
This is Salem - this is the start of your very own journey. Welcome to starfall
Starfall is an animaga witch roleplay set in mostly modern times. Members play as witches in a world plagued by monsters, where the only safe spots are walled cities. Starfall strives to be a character-driven roleplay with expansive lore and a highly interactive plotline. We want to allow members to

If Percy could stay in that moment forever, he would. He would do anything, pay anything, just to stay right where they are. Silence envelopes the place, but it's not awkward. They are not even looking at each other, but they are not shy. Hearts are hammering because of the impending task, but Percy feels like his is beating fast not because of the mission. Jelly's pink hair is messy, but that doesn't make her less perfect. The fellow Leviathan is not perfect, logically speaking, but for Percy, she is.
Ah... no, this is not happening.
Percy returns the determined look with an enthusiastic nod. He decides to put the inevitable aside for the meantime. "All right, let's go." They leave the room and the building in a haste. Percy gets them a carriage, pays the dues before they embark. Percy hops up with ease, just after Jelly gets in comfortably. She seems to be concerned with something... The carriage then moves, and the duo is on their way.
He is silent for the most part of the journey. He thinks of the all whys and hows, the ifs and what ifs... he looks outside with a blank expression, only looking back to Jelly when she asks a question. Silently he points to himself, and nods. He is supposed to alight at the museum, while Jelly would go straight to the Circle. The museum is actually just a street away from Circle's headquarters. Even so, he has to move smoothly and quickly in order to catch up with Jelly.
"I'll be right behind you, okay? I just have something dropped off in the museum." And then he leans in to the female's ear, and he whispers, "Use the cloaking scroll now." They're only a few corners away from the Circle, and just about two away from the museum.

A while ago, they had both been quiet while they are sitting in the room together. Jelly's thoughts are all a bunch of disarrayed worries and conflicts, and only then could half of her thoughts wonder what her partner thinks. The mission is trying to make her nervous. That's all it's ever going to do to both of them. But through the corner of her eye, she doesn't expect Percy to be so silent in a moment like this. Jelly almost feels absolutely bad for it; why did she bring this up in the first place?
But they reassure themselves afterwards, exchanging soothing words that for Jelly, has calmed her down. Now they leave the motel in a haste, and have caught a carriage to go to their destination. She is thankful to have Percy clarify her about the museum matter, and nods at his answer. She now understands the progress of the plan perfectly well, and is sure to remember what she is about to do.
The carriage turns to another corner, and Jelly figures that one more corner to go and they'd arrive at the museum. Percy eventually tells her to use the cloaking scroll; but for Jelly, it's quite strange. What's the rush? But then again, she needs to listen to the person more experienced than she is. The pinkette nods and grabs the cloaking scroll from her bag, casting it and enabling the scroll to function.
"Right. I'll remember." She mutters as a response to his reassurances. Jelly knows he'll be right behind her. She'd just have to figure out how to handle herself on her own to give him some more time before he'll reach the Circle. "You be careful, whatever you are going to do in the museum. You've no idea what threats may go on there."
"Museum." The carriage suddenly announces, bringing Jelly back to his attention. The pinkette looks outside the window, the carriage stopped in front of a grand building coated in an aging color of white; some of the paint is chipped off, but even though aging, she could tell it is still well taken care of. She sighs and turns back to Percy, a look on her face needing reassurance from him that he'll be fine.
"...Well. We're here." She begins, jutting a thumb behind her shoulder. "You take care of yourself, and don't hurt yourself or I'll kill you, I swear."
Post by percival grayreme on Dec 7, 2018 13:56:03 GMT
The young man smiles at the loving threats of the pinkette. He'd better not get hurt then, else he might die. If she will kill him with tender love and care he'd have no complaints. "I'll be quick," Percy says, just as the carriage stops in front of a huge Victorian building, painted in white, ethereal under the sun. He casts one last glance at Jelly... one pat on the back of her hand, and he alights, clicking the door open. He does not cast another look behind him, instead he hurries up the staircase, and then through the entrance.
Just before he enters the museum, though, he stops and looks far. Percy scans the numerous buildings until he finally spots the headquarters of the Circle. The place is a perfect walking distance. He tries to look for Jelly's carriage, but fails. She's probably already there, he does not know.
He enters the museum, then, and gladly pays for his entrance. Luckily the place allows baggage, and so he is able to bring the suitcase with him. He pays the display no attention--instead, he goes straight for the restroom. Percy finds one that is relatively empty. He locks himself inside a cubicle, and after catching his breath, he closes his eyes and casts the scroll of invisibility on himself.
Percy barely feels any change. He can still see himself just fine. He knows, though, that the people around him can't see him. The boy has enough expertise to maintain the illusion for quite some time. He just needs to keep his cool, deep breaths. Like nothing happened, like he just didn't become invisible to the eyes of the many, Percy listens intently for a presence of literally anyone, and when he hears nothing, he swings the cubicle door open and strolls outside.
The museum is mostly empty, thank the heavens. That means Percy has a lot less of maneuvering to do. He gets out of the building just fine. Now, he just has to go the Circle without getting noticed...
Shoot an apple off my head and a Trouble that can't be named A tiger's waiting to be tamed, singing Confusion that never stops The closing walls and the
She stares at the leaving figure one last time before the carriage leaves for the next location. One last look and she finally manages to divert her gaze away from Percy, leaning back on her seat and sighing to herself. Next up is none other than the Circle of Primis Tenibris... their primary enemy for this mission, and Jelly's target to distract. The pinkette does hope in her mind that everything will be just fine... nothing to be afraid of now.
The Circle is only about a few more meters away, so she needs to plan out what she has to do... and quickly. With the cloaking scroll already cast into her, it should be easy to sneak up to them without getting noticed, unless one of them bats an eye and begins interrogating her. Jelly figured she could lie, but with a solid plan at hand and the mere circumstances of it having ruined all thanks to not following it, both she and Percy would get into real trouble.
As she looks out of the window she could already see golden gates in the distance, shining so brightly in the sun that it could blind the naked eye. She does not question how the Circle could afford such a necessity. They are merchants, after all, even though fake ones. With the money that they earned through "businesses" that they conduct, they could already buy as much golden belongings that they want.
To think this organization decides to put the blame of their fake businesses on Leviathan... the nerve.
The carriage stops and she hops out of it as if on cue; she thanks the man in charge and goes on her way. Of course, she walks up to the golden gates and is about to knock, but then she notices that it has been left ajar. Huh. Not only are they fake businessmen and love to blame others unrelated to them, they are also irresponsible. How long would their business prosper if thieves suddenly barged in to take their loot, she wondered?
Jelly does not comment on the matter, though, and pushes the gate open. It does not create any noise, strangely. Makes them more irresponsible than anything.
But with the amount of men that they have, they are surely formidable. As she enters she surveys her surroundings, and sees a lot of tents and larger ones set up around the campus. Some are walking around and talking among themselves. The cloaking scroll does take effect; she walks in and receives no attention from the men who are busy chatting away. Some talk business. Some simply asking what their day had been.
One of them finally notices, though; the man in a blue-grey hood approaches her with a stern look on his face. She turns to the man and swallows her own saliva, but she knows she has to talk; otherwise their plan will be ruined and everything will be messed up. And the last thing Jelly wants to do is mess up.
Fortunately, it was a question she knows she has an answer to.

It's an uneventful walk. The streets are relatively empty, save for a few people who pay him no mind. Of course, they can't see him. He rounds the corner, and crap--Percy can feel the illusion shimmer, and for a tense moment Percy holds his breath. The overcast clouds decide to show the sun exactly at the right moment. The golden gates nearly blinds Percy. The boy takes a shaky breath. One. Two. The illusion snaps back, and Percy takes some slow cautious steps before deciding that the magic is stable enough.
He doesn't see Jelly anywhere. She must be inside. Oddly enough, the gates have been left ajar. He wonders if it's Jelly's doing. He scoots inside without making a noise. And just like that, he is inside the Circle's premises. For such a grand welcome, the inside looks mediocre. There are tents of all sizes set up everywhere. Percy picks a wide empty area to do his sightseeing. Everyone look about as comfortable as scoundrels can be, except for one lady.
A man in coat approaches her, then, and Percy starts towards her. Now, this is a bit harder. Percy walks slowly, calculating his steps. He manages to near the duo without being seen, or felt. So far, so good. He asks her a question then. Pretty basic. However, some of the men stop their conversations and look at the duo. Percy takes time to observe their actions. One of them, a tall gangly guy with thin face framed with brown scraggly beard, starts towards the biggest tents. This tent is grander than the others. Must be their main headquarters.
"Hey, Alfons!" he calls out in a fairly high tone voice. He whistles, too, to get the attention of the man in blue and grey coat--Alfons. "Who's that? Your girlfriend? You scored around this time, huh?" Percy clenches his teeth and struggles to keep his calm. The bastard then holds the entrance of the tent open. "Bring her inside."
Shoot an apple off my head and a Trouble that can't be named A tiger's waiting to be tamed, singing Confusion that never stops The closing walls and the
The aura between her and the man is unsettling. Stormy, grey eyes glare at her evidently startled blue ones, but this time she is not afraid. She is not scared of a man belonging to an organization who's definition of fun is blaming a completely unrelated organization for the crimes they had originally done. So she closes her eyes with furrowed eyebrows, breathes deep; she opens them again and glares back.
"I have come here for--"
But her speech is ruined, as someone intervenes. There are multiple eyes on them now, but they completely divert their attention somewhere else hearing that rather high-pitched voice. She turns herself and her eyes almost widen once she realizes who it is. Percy is standing next to a large tent, and the guy next to her instinctively walks up to the tent and holds it ajar. Jelly smirks. How pathetic.
Her eye almost twitches at the word girlfriend, but she is successful with hiding her impatience. This is a mission, after all, and she has no say over the matter. It would certainly ruin the plan if she only expressed disgust in the possible relationship given to her with this blue-grey cloaked man, Alfons. But what she gets instead is a push towards the tent, and suddenly her impatience is flared; she keeps her cool, though, and walks, but one more push and she would probably be lashing out.
Now they are inside the tent, and she stares at Percy, pretending to not know him by looking him up and down. Alfons walks inside as well, the entrance of the gate now closed as he enters. "Sir, this young lady happened to make her way to the headquarters." He grins, a rather malicious grin, and she wants to punch him to remove that grin off his face. "What have you been doing here, again?"
Jelly breathes, trying to keep her calm. Then she turns to Percy, seriousness on her face. "I come here with business. I am a secretary of one of the higher-ups of the Circle." Secretly, she bites her lower lip, trying to search for reassurance.

That's close, Percy thinks. Luckily no one sees him, nor seem to notice him, except for maybe Jelly. He makes eye contact with her the exact moment the illusion shimmers out of existence. The invisibility scroll falters and reveals the exact figure of Percy standing near the gates. He bites his lip, issuing an apology to Jelly in advance in case he fucks this up. He does not, as the invisibility scroll makes him disappear to the eyes again.
Eurgh.... Percy's starting to doubt his abilities now, right in the time when he shouldn't be thinking twice. Illusions work best with belief, both from the audience and the caster itself. Superficial, but true. So Percy swallows bile and gets back to work.
He could see Jelly starting to get annoyed. But she holds her patience and Percy can't be more proud of her. Boyfriend. Psh. She already has one. And Percy just won't let his girlfriend be taken away from him just like that. He slips inside the tent together with Jelly. He touches her arm the moment he passes by her as if to reassure her that he's there--even though he's invisible.
Well, it doesn't really matter anyway. Jelly still looks at him like she can see right straight through the illusion. That unnerves Percy, makes him think like he's doing something wrong. But checking again, no one other than the pinkette seem to notice him inside the room. She states her purpose then, and Percy nods to himself. Anticipating what the Circle has to say, Percy listens what these bastards have to say.

Percy's invisibility spell is still intact, even when he almost becomes exposed to Alfons and the others. She's proud of him for having survived this long. But still, she could feel his presence, almost as if she sees him even though he's not really there, invisible to the naked eye. Once she is pushed into the tent, she feels an arm graze over hers and she knows it's Percy's. It's a way to reassure another that they would be alright, she guesses.
Blue-grey guy asks her a bunch of petty questions, and she answers them even though she does not have any sole interest to do so; she's no child to be asked questions like this. Through the corner of her eye she stares at Percy with an arched eyebrow. Why is he remaining invisible for the time being again? She thinks to herself, but now is definitely not the time to question the young man about that.
Alfons does not seem convinced with her reply, but he shrugs anyway, then smirks. "Alright then, missy. Any new reports that the boss would like us to know?" He asks, raising an eyebrow and crossing his arms. Missy is getting on her nerves. If she had a chance, she would be blowing him off an making him disappear from the face of Salem ever again, just so he would stop using that Salem-forsaken name.
But again, she remains patient, and she heaves a deep breath. "I do have information that would be of use, but..." She looks at where Percy is, which seems to Alfons her looking at empty space. "I would like a few moments to myself, please. I would like to meet the boss of this sect of the Circle." She says, and she hopes in her heart that this will work.
...It does. Alfons leaves without a word, and once he's out of the tent, she turns to Percy and raises an eyebrow. "Uh... I don't think I remember why you should be invisible up to this point?" She asks, her voice almost in a whisper as it would be more than bad for her to attract more merchants. "Can you explain this part to me again? Sorry."

Percy could feel Jelly's stare piercing right through the one-way illusion, and it takes double the effort to actually maintain it. The effort the illusion requires now is more than that when Percy is actually out open in the public. Percy stares right back at the pinkette. Maybe this is the flaw of his illusion.... he won't be able to fool his loved ones, regardless of his strength as an illusionist.
At this point in time Percy is supposed to appear, as it looks like the folks aren't keen on listening to Jelly directly. It's about time Percy shows up and actually push these head asses into speaking. Or so, that is the plan. But Percy feels like something is missing, something's odd. Something he can't point out. Percy squints his eyes, following the Alfons guy with suspicious eyes.
He leaves rather quietly, save from the small whisper he said as he exits the tent. He probably thought that he's out of Jelly's earshot--and he's right, but he's not out of Percy's. "We don't need her anyway, the plan is ready to roll."
Percy raises his eyebrows.
Jelly then approaches him and ask him why he's staying invisible still. Percy smiles and dispels the illusion, if only for a second. "Yeah, I'm going to make my entrance in a bit. Also, change your script a little. Alfons said a plan is ready to roll." He winks and caresses Jelly's face before disappearing under the illusion once again. He quietly leaves the tent, and makes it a point that when Alfons enters the tent, he's pushing the bigger man aside as if he's in a haste.
Alfons looks at him dirtily. But right now Percy is playing a role. His eyes are fixated on Jelly's. "News just arrived. Have you told them the initial findings? This is crucial--oh, why were you just standing there? Where's the boss?"

In all honesty, Jelly doesn't know what she's doing. The words that are said, the motions of her character... it's all just a play, and Jelly does not do plays. But it's a part of a plan, a plan she and Percy have agreed upon, all for the sake of the mission and for them to thwart the Circle's next actions. She knows not to mess up a word, an action... for if she does otherwise, the mission will surely fail.
Percy appears before her with a smile, though he is not totally visible. She chuckles sheepishly and scratches the back of her head upon hearing his answer. "Oh... right, right. Wait, what?" Her eyes widen upon hearing the Circle's current plan on the go. She did not expect this. At all. Sure, she should have expected the unexpected, as it is the Circle she is dealing with, but she was not informed of this plan. She only knows one plan in motion and that is her discussion with Percy, but... not this!
"What plan, Percy? What plan?" She questions him with desperation in her eyes, wanting to know the answers as soon as possible before anyone else comes in. "This isn't part of the deal at all."
But she does not get her answer, as Percy is out of the tent and ready to act; finally, Alfons comes in and he is shoved aside by Percy, as if in a haste. She looks at him with furrowed eyebrows, although this is far from what she is truly feeling: doubt and uncertainty, and both are not applicable to the situation she is presented. Jelly could only watch as Alfons throws Percy dirty looks; but her partner doesn't mind these looks at all, and is instead speaking and staring right back at her.
She needs to do something.
The pen in her mind starts working again, and the words are slowly carved into her mind.
With a huff, she crosses her arms, and glares at the two men in the tent with her -- a pretending glare to Percy, and a hot glare to Alfons, who flinches. "Oh, I dunno. But waiting for him and your boss keeping me waiting is not funny at all. I've got other business to attend to as well, tell him that." She begins, face clearly displeased with this turn of events.
Good work, Jelly. Obelisk says in the back of her mind, and she could not help but feel proud for herself as well.
Jelly looks at the papers scattered at the table and picks one of the stacks, waving them in the air with a glare still affixed to her face. "Look, my boss from the other sect says that I should only share this information to him and to him only. I only just recently heard from your whispering outside that you have a plan on the roll, so if you don't want that said plan to fail, you better tell him to hurry up and get over here, now."
Her head then whirls to Percy; she raises an eyebrow and smirks teasingly at him, crossing her arms once more. "Or am I to assume that you are the boss, and you're just stalling so you can waste precious time?"

Alfons seems not to be too happy when Percy pushes him aside. Good, as he should be. He glares at Percy as the Leviathan talks to Jelly and demands action from her. His face further sours when Jelly directs the blame at him. Percy smiles internally.
Percy waves Jelly's latter statement away. "Oh come on. I could never replace the boss." Then he turns to Alfons and gives him an accusatory look. Adding fuel to the flame, he adds, "How about you, old man. Haven't you heard the saying, 'it's rude to keep a lady waiting?' That's exactly what you're doing. So what's the hold up?"
Alfons has been holding his breath, his facing turning beat red. He breathes deep, slowly, and raises his chin ever so slightly. Percy squints. That's not a good sign. That's a sign of defiance, and it looks like he's not about to let the duo meet the boss any time soon. And that is bad. The longer they remain stale, the more the situation worsens for them.
"The boss has prior commitments before you two," Alfons stubbornly says. This prick... "You may have to wait until--" All right, that's enough. Percy cuts him mid-sentence and and speaks. "So what did your boss tell you? He's not busy, isn't he?"
And when he says that, Percy casts a silent memory-altering illusion (A SUBTLE TOUCH: SCROLL #15). Alfons' eyes blanks out for a millisecond before he blinks. The illusion is now creeping on his very memories. "Well, he said to..." Percy nods upwards once, as if to say, go on. "He says that he has a meeting..." Percy squints and intensifies the illusion. Alfons' stormy grey eyes dilutes. "I don't--I don't remember if he has any commitments, he's probably available right now."
Percy nods, briefly looking at Jelly and the back to Alfons. "Great! Now, can you lead us to him?"

Percy and Jelly's characters seem to be getting along, at least in their own ways... they communicate the proper way they should be, both so different from their actors that it makes Jelly proud. The secretary is impatient and would like to meet the boss as soon as possible; Percy's character seems to not like to deal with this situation. But both do seem to be communicating the proper way they should, and she feels as though the mission would be successful.
Only this bastard Alfons does not seem to want to cooperate, and so he refuses to take them to the boss, chin raised a little upward to express defiance to this order. Jelly flinches, annoyed, papers crumpled in the mercy of her fist. But inside, her heart is beating rapidly and she's sweating in the back of her head, though not visibly. If this takes long enough for them, they are doomed and the Circle would have the upper hand. Their mission would be an utter failure. Jelly cannot allow that.
She is about to say something, but Percy seems to know what to do; so she keeps silent and glares at Alfons, all while wondering what Percy has in store. But then Percy asks him some questions and this time, Alfons' answers are different. Jelly smirks, nodding; internally, she is smiling wide and thankful to Percy for doing something with the situation. She listens as Percy asks the old man to take them to the boss.
"...Yes, follow me." Alfons turns to the exit and signals them both to follow. His eyes are diluted and still in a haze. "The boss is... this way."
He disappears from the tent, and Jelly could see a shadow that indicates him leaving for the direction of the boss. Jelly approaches Percy, a big smile on her face -- not hidden this time -- and she pats his shoulder with a confident nod. "Shall we follow him?" She whispers in offering, walking out of the tent herself, but she waits for Percy to follow suit.

Percy likes the way Alfons fall into a trance as his mind struggles against the illusion. He is a little nervous that the illusion might not work. It happens sometimes ( most of the time actually ) especially if the caster is not experienced enough, or when the target is simply far stronger than the caster. Percy fervently hoped for the latter.
The young witch wins the mind battle as the Alfons starts walking away, beckoning Percy and Jelly to come with him. Jelly walks up to him and taps his shoulder, to which Percy returns with a grin. "Yeah, we should," he answers enthusiastically. This is going well so far. Alfons leaves the tent, then, and this time Percy is the one to urge Jelly forward with a squeeze on her arm. "Let's go, before we lose sight of him." And before the illusion wears away, too.
The young man exits the tent first. The sun welcomes him, and his eyes have to adjust to the sudden change of light. One quick scan at the surroundings and he sees Alfons already halfway to a navy blue tent far north. The tent isn't the biggest nor the grandest tent in the area. If Alfons is making his way towards that tent, then that must be the boss' lair.
Now that he has the chance to see the place as a whole, Percy notices that the tents are positioned in a way that they would make a circle if viewed up in the air. Circle of Primis Tenibris.
Percy does not really know what to make of that fact. He looks at Jelly, suddenly needing the comfort of a familiar presence in this largely dangerous crowd. He manages a soft smile. "I think we should walk together," he says.
Together is better, Percy thinks. Especially now that he feels like he has just led them to a trap.

Jelly watches as the stubborn Alfons' mind is successfully tricked by Percy's spell, and she could not help but smile. They were able to make good progress, thus far; Alfons declares he would take them to the boss, and that's the result Jelly most absolutely wants. She would have to thank Percy for that later... or for anything he would do in this mission, if she were being honest. Everything has been going according to plan thanks to his efforts, though she could not deny giving herself some of the credit.
Jelly asks if they were to follow him, and Percy agrees, but with only a few moments it was the young man's turn to usher her out after Alfons leaves. Jelly follows, then, because she could not afford to losing their current lead, and she could not afford to not finish this mission and fail at it. Error would be a misery, both for them and for the entire coven if they weren't to find anything here.
So they walk out of the tent, following Alfons closely. Already the Circle's agents' eyes are watching her -- Percy's invisibility scroll is still taking effect, she thinks -- but they aren't as suspicious as they had been quite a while ago back at the inn. The cloaking scroll is still in effect, then. Jelly doesn't pay them any mind, as they are too distracting; but if one stares too much she would send them a glare of a thousand daggers. Unfortunately that would not stop them from snickering, but it is a sign that she is not to be trifled with.
Finally, after a few minutes, they reach a cluster of tents positioned in such a way that it would make the particular shape of a circle, and from that Jelly knows this is the place. She looks at where Alfons is headed -- a dark blue tent, not the biggest tent of the bunch. But it's the boss' lair, she thinks. Where else was Alfons supposed to go?
Jelly takes the time to look at Percy, and sees him softly smiling at her. It makes her smile back, but she doesn't have anything to say. Good luck, perhaps? But wasn't she the one who's supposed to be granted good luck here? Percy then states that they should walk together... which surprises Jelly, since he sounded quite nervous once he said that, and there she speculates that something is bugging him. "Is that part of the plan? Walking together?" She chuckles jokingly; she could not help it.
But since she's a good person, and she's too kind, said he, she nods and begins walking. "Alright, but don't be too clingy. You'll get suspicious." It's a fitting warning, as there's a huge crowd of agents in the middle of the Circle, being noisy. Being a crowd.
Jelly hates crowds, but she has no choice. She sees Alfons, still in that state Percy put him into, peeking outside of the tent and beckoning for them to come. Jelly heaves a deep breath, then starts walking. "Here we go... get ready." She reminds him, patting his hand softly and walking at a pace he could catch up to.

The duo walks together, and Percy can feel the tension--hers and Jelly's combined. They walk in close proximity, Percy actually adjusting so that they walk side by side. Jelly nervously asks if they are supposed to be this close at this point of the mission, and every nerve of Percy says no. But... "I just feel it is way safer," he answers, nudging her gently, as if to say, this is safe.
Percy actually smiles at that. Oh god, he is way too clingy, isn't he?! He bites his lip trying not to smile, and then put a bit more distance between them. Oops. God damn it, Percy, for Merlin's sake, stop letting your attraction ruin the mission!
Well, no one can blame Percy, honestly. This crowd feels ominous, everyone seems off, everything is dark and concealed. The tens drape to the ground showing no sign of what could be inside. The biggest of them, the boss' lair, Percy assumes, stands tall furthest to the entrance. If they are to make an escape, it would be difficult to find a way out without being noticed.
Percy's heart does a jumping jack when Jelly says 'get read, here we go.' Isn't he supposed to be the one doing that? What? He takes a deep breath and nods. He braves the first step forward, then the few steps that would bring him inside the tent. He holds the drape open for Jelly.
There is a grand table with all sorts of gold ornaments. A pile of papers and scrolls litter the table. When the duo shows themselves, the woman behind the table who is writing on a scroll looks up. She's strikingly beautiful, with luscious black hair and purple eyes. "Alfons, you may leave," the woman says.
Alfons bows and leaves, as told. While still within the range, Percy lets go of the mind illusion. "I had to cancel a meeting for you." The woman says. "So, what brings you here?"
