this is Salem, a land filled with magic and maladies. It is a place where witches and their elemental familiars gather, a home to legend and
lore that predates time itself. Yet of all the wicked and wonderful stories the past can tell us of, the most magical are the ones yet to happen.
This is Salem - this is the start of your very own journey. Welcome to starfall
Starfall is an animaga witch roleplay set in mostly modern times. Members play as witches in a world plagued by monsters, where the only safe spots are walled cities. Starfall strives to be a character-driven roleplay with expansive lore and a highly interactive plotline. We want to allow members to
create and look back on a magical journey, and mold the site and its plot as their characters grow.
[attr="class","j1scroll"] She burns the tokens she is holding without hesitation, and watches as the bonfire eats up the parchment she had thrown into the flames.
[break][break]She's carefully decided what past to leave behind. The Argentia bloodline in her is no more; it's a time for a new Argentia to be presented. The mastermind behind it all is just merely a fragment of a broken mirror that had been shattered by family ties long ago. It's no more than a memory that keeps her distant from the past.
[break][break]She turns to leave the square even before the storyteller is able to begin the fable of JAHR. She has no time to listen to stories. Emery is crippled and she needs to go home before sundown, or Rogue will be worried.
[break][break]But Saturnalia was wonderful. That's what it is.

Percy can't read what's going on in Jelly's mind and that's bad news. He starts to sweat while he stands there awkwardly with one foot already in grave. Jelly and Percy is ( somewhat ) a couple and Percy intends that to keep it that way for as long as he could. The number of his exes is a quantity Percy doesn't really want her to know--he isn't ready to tell her, yet now she's find out about one already. His time with Ling is short but sweet, two lines crossing briefly. It's enough, though, and Percy wouldn't have it any other way.
The boy gives the pinkette a small nod as he makes her way towards him. "Hi," he says. "I haven't been here for long--I only got churros, that's pretty much it." Just as she does with Ling, he offers her the small basket. Throughout the conversation he has already eaten about a third of it.
He holds Ling's hand, then ( that is, if she doesn't resist ) and tugs at it slightly. Merlin, this is the very moment he wishes never happened. He has to get through this somehow. "So uh, Jelly, this is Ling, my friend. Ling, this is Jelly...." And after that he has to pause. But he looks at Ling tenderly, holding his gaze for a while.
Much like Ling, Jelly is also holding some kind of paper. Is she burning those, too? Come to think of it, they're kind of similar.... Both free-spirited and tenacious. "What's that for?" he asks, pursing and pointing to the papers with his lips. "I see people burning those. Sorry, I didn't get the memo."

[attr="class","j1scroll"] Percy looks so confused, so afraid -- at least in Jelly's perspective -- and for her this is not the Percy she knew. There is no reason to be feeling this way, none at all. Jelly is simply here to enjoy the festivities, not rant to him about some new girl he is going to the festival with. She does not like commotions like those. And she does not like fights between strangers, even with her impatience.
[break][break]The young man offers her churros after approaching her, and she waves a hand dismissively in decline. "No thanks. I'm not really hungry." She says, before she is left staring at the man in front of her. The boy who danced with her on that lake-- the boy whom she had gone to a mission to investigate the Circle-- yes, she had not known him for long, but she knows he would not act this way around her. Percy is pretty much better than this.
[break][break]Percy introduces her to the girl next to him, and she turns to this said Ling with yet another wave. "Hey," She manages, noticing the tender look he gives Ling once she turns back to him. She doesn't mind, really. Jelly is in no place to be jealous when he loves someone else in the first place.
[break][break]But then, Percy asks what the papers she is holding are for; she turns to them and manages a smile, the words inscribed by her own ink meaning nothing anymore. "Ah, yes. Paper tokens. They're used to burn something you wish to let go for the new year." She explains, scratching her neck. "Basically you write something old or deserve to be in the past and burn it in the bonfire. Kiki sells them for only five gold in her shop, if you're planning on buying some." She adds, chuckling nervously.
