this is Salem, a land filled with magic and maladies. It is a place where witches and their elemental familiars gather, a home to legend and
lore that predates time itself. Yet of all the wicked and wonderful stories the past can tell us of, the most magical are the ones yet to happen.
This is Salem - this is the start of your very own journey. Welcome to starfall
Starfall is an animaga witch roleplay set in mostly modern times. Members play as witches in a world plagued by monsters, where the only safe spots are walled cities. Starfall strives to be a character-driven roleplay with expansive lore and a highly interactive plotline. We want to allow members to
create and look back on a magical journey, and mold the site and its plot as their characters grow.

Another bubble flew to the air, and it seemed to make even Asha uncomfortable. It cemented the fact that they were nothing alike, that maybe there was a wall that could not be so easily crossed by airily spoken words and gestures of kindness and compassion. Maybe she wasn't going to be able to do anything about this.
"Kids like me?" Asha repeated but for a certain strange reason, it sounded neither angry nor defeated. Simply curious. "So you'll just assume you know everything about me, huh?" She felt thoroughly unimpressed, but didn't ask the question like she expected an answer. She just asked the question to herself, wondering where she was going wrong. Everyone and their damned assumptions.
"I don't believe in stupid rules like that, much less if no one has the guts to say them out loud," she responded gruffly, irritatedly. Asha was not the kind of person that believed sitting there and talking about things would make the hurting go away. As much as she loved getting to know people, she wanted to be doing something for him instead of sitting here and making things worse.
She frowned. "You don't want me to help because you think you don't deserve it?" Tact had its place and Asha certainly knew what people wanted to hear. But that was ridiculous and she needed to call it out. "You haven't said anything abrasive to me yet. And everyone hiccups, so that's not gross. Plus the only thing you're awful at is making conversation."
"And out of three other people I've met last week, the only one that could hold a conversation tried to attack a cat. So there."
it's easier when you know you'll be fine on your own
This was starting to get a bit much. Assumptions were how the world worked, and if she really didn't know that....well then that was her own fault. But she seemed like one of those people who wanted to make people see the "real" her and that was....a hard pill to swallow honestly. He sighed and buried his face in his hands for a moment.
When she said it out loud like that it sounded stupid.
But then she mentioned the cat, and his head shot up quickly. He squinted, an angry and frustrated look on his face. No cat deserved rough treatment, all cats were angels.
"What the fuck..."
He whispered to himself, and rubbed the back of his head.
"Not cool. Cats are rad. Okay you know what? fine you win let's go."
He shakily stood up, using his anger to fuel him, and held out a hand to haul up the girl on the ground. He really didn't wanna do this, didn't want or couldn't afford to be, poked and prodded, but he had no choice now huh?
He scowled for a moment, eyes flashing as he stared into the sky. He felt Poppy trill in his ear, the rock martin snuggling close for comfort. He sighed and shoved his hands in his pockets.
"Well missy? Lead the way let's move it I got shit to do."
