this is Salem, a land filled with magic and maladies. It is a place where witches and their elemental familiars gather, a home to legend and
lore that predates time itself. Yet of all the wicked and wonderful stories the past can tell us of, the most magical are the ones yet to happen.
This is Salem - this is the start of your very own journey. Welcome to starfall
Starfall is an animaga witch roleplay set in mostly modern times. Members play as witches in a world plagued by monsters, where the only safe spots are walled cities. Starfall strives to be a character-driven roleplay with expansive lore and a highly interactive plotline. We want to allow members to
create and look back on a magical journey, and mold the site and its plot as their characters grow.

So...this party was kind of boring. Anass didn't know if he was into dancing, but the thought of dancing to some competition to dance with the mayor sent gross shivers up his spine. No thank you. He wasn't in the mood for some rapid footwork at the moment, so he spent his time pulling at his collar and ghosting the edges of the floor with a drink in his hand. He sipped at the spiked punch (whoever did it wasn't original but it was appreciated) and sighed softly, lamenting even coming to this damn thing.
On the bright side he looked damn good and he was pretty well aware of it.
Nice slacks, a nice button up, and suspenders. Not something he'd typically wear considering he had a more relaxed wardrobe, but it was well fitting and he'd paid a rather nice sum for the total so...may as well use it. He didn't have a lot of formal affairs anyway. Pulling himself from those thoughts his gaze flickered around the floor, counting off the number of patrons he'd slept with idly with nothing else to distract himself.
A surprising number of big ticket people were here tonight, lots of high class witches with something to hide. Anass sneered into his cup and sighed as he took a long sip, eyelids lowering as someone sidled up next to him. He was surprised to see Jeremy again, from a few days ago.
"I suppose an apology is in order..."
"You reek of seawater."
"Well who's fault is that?"
Anass stared at him blankly, then glanced away and wondered idly if Anair would come back to save the day yet again. Jeremy continued to try to strike a conversation, pressing his hands into Anass's back and hips in order to try to provoke him into conversation.

[attr="class","cali1Post"]Boring…
This dance was turning out extremely boring and while he was fully capable of dancing as he’d been doing earlier he had no interest in it. His gaze slid off to the side as he contemplated simply leaving…he didn’t see a reason he had to be here. He was dressed in colors of one of the lesser known covens, having snuck in under the guise as a Kiena member. He huffed softly and pulled at the collar of the shirt he wore…or suit, he liked to call it a monkey suit personally. The blazer he wore was a midnight blue that was almost black, the tie which he’d loosened was a shimmering silver grey as well as the pocket tissue he had tucked into the blazer’s pocket. His slacks, iron pressed to perfection, was the same midnight blue as the blazer but the button up shirt which has its first two buttons undone was completely white.
He huffed again, remembering his father’s words that there would be a leviathan infiltration to the party tonight and he’d gone along with orders as requested. However, he was two seconds away from making a getaway and deciding to call it a night. There was nothing worth seeing here and he certainly had no interest in getting to the mayor, let one of the other Leviathan lackeys try their luck with that one. He had no desire to press his luck and have someone possibly recognize him…or maybe…
The amber eyed male shook his head and scowled lightly at the thought that almost popped into his head. He was getting too friendly with people and as much as he didn’t want to be in Leviathan he had to stop dropping his guard…with anyone. Deciding he’d had enough to drink and deal with for one night he began to make his way towards the exit so he could sneak away when something caught his eye and he glanced towards it. For a moment, he almost didn’t recognize them and began to look away but when he looked again he realized it was Anass and that man from the observatory.
Anair hesitated…tempted to just leave and not look back and the liability Anass could make himself to be. However, after a second he huffed and made his way over the slightest scowl on his face as he sidled up behind Anass. With a ghost of a touch he laid his hand on the younger male’s waist as he said with dark humor, “I know I once said you keep interesting company but this isn’t quite what I meant. This is more like a pestering fly than interesting company.” While there was an amused smile dancing along his lips, the darkness that slithered up his arm and wrapped around his shoulder’s like a coiling snake said otherwise. “I think it’s time you left the nice young man alone and moved on with your night…Jeremy.”

It was almost like Jeremy was inclined to bother him the entire time. They bitterly had a minor argument for a few more seconds before a flash of something caught his attention, and Anass jumped slightly feeling the hand on his waist. He gritted his teeth though and forced himself to relax into the touch, wondering where exactly Anair was going with this. Jeremy eyed the two critically as Anass glowered at him and silently bid him to leave.
"What, this your boyfriend?"
Anass sneered, and ground his teeth. Before he could control himself, he snapped and shoved at the taller man, making him take a step back to steady himself.
"Maybe he is and maybe you're ruining what was supposed to be a fun night with him."
Jeremy scowled and reached forward to grab Anass's throat, but seemed to think better about it at the last second. With a theatrical glance around he made a not-so-idle comment that cause Anass to bristle up and nearly crush the cup he was holding.
"He's probably just in it for the great lay, no one could love a secondhand whore like you Anass. See ya."
Blinded by rage Anass stood there as Jeremy walked away, repeating the sentence like a mantra over and over in his brain. Eventually he had to breath though, and hardly realized he'd stopped, and released a sigh through his nose. He glanced at Anair reluctantly, and smiled sarcastically.
"I owe you one I guess. Feel free to cash it in however you'd like."

[attr="class","cali1Post"]Anair stayed quite in the background as Jeremy and Anass went back and forth, dark humor lighting his features as he watched the chaos unfold. Even when Jeremy reached forward to perhaps do something unsavory Anair remained where he was standing. His mind worked slowly though, breaking pieces of plans and putting them back together in a more thought out way. It was perhaps a good thing that Anass wasn’t looking at him when Jeremy walked away or else he’d have seen the dark serpent slither off his shoulder and into the shadows to follow Jeremy. It would come back later to tell him where the man lived and well…by the end of the night Jeremy would no longer be a problem.
His amber gaze flickered back to Anass and his features smoothed into a friendlier smile as the male spoke up. He quirked an eyebrow as he offered out his arm, “You can pay that debt by joining me then? I had been bored out my mind and just about to leave when I saw a particular damsel prepared to gouge out the eyes of a rather incompetent knight.” He made a thoughtful noise before he added, “If he could be called such…or perhaps mount would be better…” He made a face as though he’d thought of something rather disgusting, “On second thought my original idea of a fly seems better.”
The brunet allowed himself to look back at the younger male and could tell that Jeremy’s parting words had gotten to him. “You really shouldn’t give him so much power over a comment that isn’t particularly true.” With the slightest teasing he said, “After all I haven’t slept with you to my knowledge and I find you quite entertaining.”
Since when was he the type to try to comfort and console? Which he was sure he was doing a terrible job at but this wasn’t exactly something he was used to. He quirked an eyebrow and asked, “Should I get Blair out? I feel as though she would perhaps do a better job at this than I would.” There was an echo of agreement from the recesses of his mind that he ignored for the most part. Her opinion was not of importance and he was pleased when he felt a flare of irritation from her end.

Honestly, Anass was tired and wanted to get out of there, especially after that. But with a technical debt owed and a request being made, he huffed and flushed a bit, glancing around nervously before taking Anair's arm. He chuckled at the insults thrown Jeremy's way and scanned the crowd for any other potential threats, but Jeremy had been burning hot ever since the tower meeting so he wasn't surprised he popped up again.
"Yeah a fly seems the best comparison, but I didn't think I'd be a damsel in this situation."
He shrugged and took the initiative to pull Anair toward the dance floor, falling into a very simple beat considering he'd never learned how to dance. He kept his gaze focused on Anair's feet, trying not to step on them as he mulled over his words. He frowned, the humor being sucked up by the implications of Jeremy's words.
"I mean you could if you wanted, I do owe you. Ex-prostitute is still considered one and I'm a great lay. "
He smirked a bit at this, knowing it was rather true. He wasn't one to be idle and lay around, and he tended to try and enjoy his trysts even a little. His gaze darted up to Anair as he offered to let Blair out, and he bit his lip.
"Nah....you aren't doing half bad honestly. But I wouldn't mind her company if she so desires...."
