[attr="class","diag"]The path leading from Eclipse Town to Sundial City was one often traversed for Eleanor by now. Every two months, a letter arrived from the city inviting her to a tea party or a tour through the museum or promising a lovely afternoon in a café. Once, the location had been set to be Agamika Park, and little Nina had been so excited upon finding out that Eleanor had to claim sickness that very morning in order to avoid her sweet child from finding out where she really was going.
Leading a double life could be quite exhausting.
"I'll miss you, Darling dearest," she whispers to her familiar as she takes the first step out of town. Outside its protective restraints, after all, the little sparrow was no the complete opposite of little, which eliminated any ease of mobility the pair had inside town. They weren't going very far this time, but they would be staying a while, and Eleanor did so hate not having her familiar's physical presence around.
The few minutes she walks along the road pass by with ease, without inconvenience. It is only as she takes a turn not in the direction of any of the two rune-protected paths, but into the forest, that she grows alert, starts to pay close attention to her surroundings. The Forest of Percival was no playground, and their chances of encountering monsters was, admittedly, high.
Finally, she reaches a clearing in which she feels comfortable to rest. It was big enough for her and her eventual companion to be alerted of any new arrivals, as well as far away enough for their planned activities not to draw anyone's attention. She lets her cloak fall off her shoulders, and neatly folds it next to where she sits, waiting. Shouldn't be too long, now, for the other Leviathan to arrive.
A twig snaps behind her. "Nike," she says, barely turning her head towards the newcomer. Eleanor hadn't brought a watch with her, but she knew her friend was just in time. "Thanks for coming."
