this is Salem, a land filled with magic and maladies. It is a place where witches and their elemental familiars gather, a home to legend and
lore that predates time itself. Yet of all the wicked and wonderful stories the past can tell us of, the most magical are the ones yet to happen.
This is Salem - this is the start of your very own journey. Welcome to starfall
Starfall is an animaga witch roleplay set in mostly modern times. Members play as witches in a world plagued by monsters, where the only safe spots are walled cities. Starfall strives to be a character-driven roleplay with expansive lore and a highly interactive plotline. We want to allow members to
create and look back on a magical journey, and mold the site and its plot as their characters grow.
It was a question that continued to plague his mind as his familiar couldn't seem to stop asking over and over again. But to answer their question, he was not finished yet and he wouldn't be finished for some time. This book was one of his favorites and he would've preferred to read it in peace without the incessant nagging in the back of his mind. At that, he felt a sharp jab at his lower back and it felt like a claw was being pressed against the skin. If it wouldn't have made him seem crazy he would've swatted a hand back to where Bagheera's paw should've been.
For someone who liked to keep appearances, the panther was rather active and preferred to be in action rather than passive. But that may have been because of the uproar of downtown Sundial which would normally spur someone into seeking out the sights or interacting with the populace. However, Lazarus wasn't someone. Rather he was the one who would rather sit with his book on his lap and read about the intricacies of transfiguration.
Although he wasn't well-versed on the inner workings of it and wasn't a transfiguration specialist himself, it wouldn't hurt to learn more about them.
Are you finished reading yet?
He sighed and sat up, snapping his book closed and with a loud cry in the back of his mind realized that it may have been a good idea to get a bit of exercise. He stood up from the stoop where he sat and looked to the bustling streets. Taking a few steps forward and integrating himself into the crowd, he looked around and hummed, book tucked under his armpit as he walked along.
Running was, perhaps, one of Nana's least favorite things to do. If it wasn't for the fact that it made her sweat a lot, it might have been fine, but the feeling of gross sweaty water flowing down her neck and even in other undesirable places was too annoying to ignore. So, what was Nana doing at this moment? Running of course. Because she wanted to work out? No, she's doing it because some idiot (read: Cadbeary) decided that Nana would be fine if she went through that alleyway as a shortcut.
It'll be fine, he said. You're just paranoid, he said. Nothing bad will happen, he said.
Because obviously the most cliche thing had happened when she passed through the alley. A group of men, three of them, all bigger than her, tried to gang up on her. While yes, she was a witch, and yes, she had magic that could, in theory, help her, she wasn't able to use it. Not because she couldn't, but because she can't take on three men at once.
So she ran.
Now here she was, running through the streets of the city, being chased by three men in broad daylight. Seriously, what the hell is their problem?! Obviously no other passerby seemed to gather that she was being chased, because nobody batted an eyelash at the girl who was obviously being followed by some absolutely ugly looking men, and she normally doesn't discriminate against looks. That means they're ugly.
Of course, as always, cliche shit just has to happen around Nana, and she ran straight into someone, right as she turned her head to see if they were still following. If she was any dumber, she might have though the person to be an actual brick wall, but she was not an idiot.
Nana stumbled back a little and immediately apologized. "I'm sorry, sir! Super sorry! Didn't mean to! Being chased now by creepy people now! Bye bye!" Of course, she would then try and run off, internally hoping that this man or someone would hear the whole 'creepy people' part and help her.
