this is Salem, a land filled with magic and maladies. It is a place where witches and their elemental familiars gather, a home to legend and
lore that predates time itself. Yet of all the wicked and wonderful stories the past can tell us of, the most magical are the ones yet to happen.
This is Salem - this is the start of your very own journey. Welcome to starfall
Starfall is an animaga witch roleplay set in mostly modern times. Members play as witches in a world plagued by monsters, where the only safe spots are walled cities. Starfall strives to be a character-driven roleplay with expansive lore and a highly interactive plotline. We want to allow members to
create and look back on a magical journey, and mold the site and its plot as their characters grow.
Today is one of Nana's... resting days. And by that, I mean she's simply sitting around hireling's keep and watching people go by. Although she wouldn't admit it, a small part of her joined this coven because of all the gorgeous people that they had. Seriously, she could name quite a handful of men that she wouldn't mind spending a night with.
Of course, Nana was also taking this time to gather information on her fellow members. Groups of people standing around were listened in on. She took great pleasure in the gossip some of them spoke of. A lot of it was simply who's doing what and such, but occasionally she would find a group of people who were throwing out the juicy details of someone's romantic relationships- those were always fun.
Speaking of fun things, someone just walked in! Well, okay, a lot of people walk in and out, but this girl was gorgeous and she had some beautiful clothes to match! Nana was sure she hadn't seen those shoes before either... Where did she get them?
After scanning the now bland looking people around the reception area, Nana decided to confront the girl. Perhaps she would become a friend? But right now, all she wanted was the name of the store that she got that outfit from.
Nana pushed herself off of her chair and patted down her yellow dress. Her black heels clicked on the ground as she approached the woman, and as soon as she made eye contact, she smiled. "Hey there, my name is Nana. I hate to be blunt, but I was wondering where you got that outfit from? It's gorgeous!"

One has to be presentable at all times, in her business field. Even at her worst, if she wanted to make a good impact, a strong first impression was in order. Let it cost as much as it does, if it repays later then it repays big time. That was the approach, the method and philosophy she adopted for herself, after years of experience and starting again. She adopted that way of thinking to her very life, as well; one couldn't know when an opportunity would show up!
While not shameless enough to go advertising her network immediately, mostly due to lack of options at that, she was still very much going to show off. Leila was aware of her perks, and with two being utilized to the fullest here, she took her proud stroll into the coven hall. It was her beauty, and her fashion sense. Because really, how could she assume a clothing business without having the latter? The former just happened to be extra, but very favorable.
She could feel it. The staring eyes from every corner, looking at her outfit. Looking at her. She chuckled to herself, elegantly raising a ringed hand to cover her mouth politely. Oh dear. Letting it show off the bat would be pushing her luck, now wouldn't it? She held full confidence in the combination of those brown boots, the black skirt, white blouse and signature lavender shawl. With the addition of Hau decorating the corner of her crown, as if a hairband was put over it, she was certain. There was no room for mistake here!
Before even managing to find a spot to herself, a young girl showed herself. Quick to examine the stranger, Leila took in the other's facial features and clothes, specifically the yellow dress, in but an instant. Her expression lightened further as she smiled, slightly tilting her head to the side at the compliment. "Aww, thank you so much sweetie~!" She replied. No matter how many times she heard them, compliments were almost always welcome. Especially by cute strangers like this one~
"I'm Leila. It's a pleasure~" She introduced, gesturing the young woman to join her in a random table she had decided to claim. "It's actually just an assorted lot from all around. For the most part, I mean. Why don't you join me over there and I'll tell you about that? I'll be glad to reference you to some nice places~"

As soon as Nana was offered a seat, she took it. With a smile on her face she leaned on the table lightly. "Thanks for talking to me. It isn't often you actually see someone with a sense of fashion that isn't god awful! Or maybe that's just me that thinks that..." She knows fashion... well enough, and a lot of people just... didn't look good in what they wore.
"It's nice to meet you though, Leila. You said you can refer me to some nice stores, yes?" The girl began to twirl a thin strand of her wavy hair in her hand. Not out of nervousness, but out of lack for something for her hands to do. "I don't actually go shopping often. I tend to set dates for myself so that I can save up money and absolutely splurge."
Hopefully this woman would be able to provide her with quality shops, because she hasn't been able to find much clothes to her liking, but maybe she's just picky? "Yes, that's you being picky, dear."

Plopping herself down on a seat after the young girl, Leila listened in. While she was relatively new in Sundial, she too had seen some oddly-dressed people here and there. By no means did she see it a mission of herself to fix that, however; on the contrary, even! Whoever wanted to could dress however they wanted. The beauty of fashion wasn't just in pretty and matching clothes, but also in unique style and versatility.
"Hmmm~ No no, you're absolutely right, Nana." She stated, elegantly leaning her face on the back of her hand. "Some people here absolutely lack a proper fashion sense, it's a little sad even. But really, it's just about a person's choice, won't you say?" She inquired rhetorically. Giving a short moment's thought, Leila's eyes strayed away from her new company, before a finger was raised as if an idea came to mind. "Oh. That dress is from Willow, isn't it? It's gorgeous, it has to be! Sorry, I figured you'd want something akin to that. But If it's about my clothes, then..."
Listing off a few shops she found, Leila tried to detail just enough not to advertise her competitors too much. Truth be told, her own attire was picked through clothes she bought outside of Sundial in the first place; hence, her suggestions promised not to find the ones she had, in stock. Regardless, the styling at the very least was similar.
"So then." Once she was done, Leila crossed her legs the other way. With a brush of her hair, she leaned a bit further to the young woman. "I don't trust you'll remember all of this off the bat, but those are a few of my personal recommendations. Ah, sorry, I tend to ramble a bit about these things~"

All Nana could do as the woman spoke was nod along. She certainly made good points, especially when it came to the people and lack of fashion sense. Nana wasn't one to go around telling people they look like shit, but that doesn't mean she can't comment on it around other, more fashionable people from time to time. Consider it her bad karma for the year.
"Yes, it is from Willow!" Was all she got in, not that she minded, before the woman went on a tangent about the stores in the area. Like a sponge, Nana sucked in the information being thrown at her relentlessly. Cadbeary was even taking notes (mental ones), but perhaps that was only because he too got some stuff out of Nana's monthly splurges. It was noted that the woman knew way too many stores, even some that Nana didn't know existed, so as soon as she finished speaking, apologizing for her rambling, Nana shook her head.
"No, no! I appreciate the information! A lot of those stores were unknown to me before, so I have to thank you for the recommendations." Brushing a strand of hair out of her grinning face, Nana laughed. "I had expected you to know about fashion, but this much is wonderful! You gotta admire that in people, being so committed to their passion that they can talk about it for hours on end. You do like fashion right? Do you dabble in sewing or making any of your own clothes?"
