[attr="class","salvatore"]What the hell was this job? He grumbled as he ran a hand down his face, feeling quite bothered by the task he had snatched up for himself. Umpteen times now, he had snatched a job from the notice board back at base simply in desperation, never giving much read towards what the job required him to do and focusing more on the rewards it promised. After all, he believed beggars couldn't be choosers, and he needed as much money as he could get to pay his way out of the Hovel. However, some of the jobs he succeeded in snatching for himself were ones that he sometimes regretted ever taking. Just one week past, he had been hired to take care of three demonic felines with the help of a childhood 'friend', and now, he was being paid to take care of what sounded like the humanoid version of those three felines combined. Cain had lived the first eighteen years of his life among the higher social class of Salem, and he knew exactly how these spoilt brats could act like.
He never did like how entitled they presented themselves to be.
Yet, here he was, being made to chaperone one of them for her shopping spree. Another grumble, as the red-head crossed his arms over his chest, being careful not to place it above where his chest pocket was. Hailey was, as always, resting within the confines of said pocket, snuggling in the warmth of the cloth and her witch partner, safe from the dangers of the outside world, just as she liked it. The fire witch wore a plain white shirt under his signature black leather jacket, with its white fur collar, and a pair of dark gray pants. Boots completed his rather overused attire set, though one couldn't blame him for the recycling, really, considering he barely had any clothes as a personal possession.
Hell, he seemed to wear this jacket almost every day, if anyone had taken note.
He stood there, at the entrance of the shopping district, sticking out like a sore thumb with his attire, surrounded by the more glamorous-looking rich kids of Sundial City. A carriage was supposed to come drop the kid off for him and another witch to take over, neither of which had yet to arrive. Where was the other witch, anyway? Was he going to be late as well? A sigh escaped the red-head.
That would be so, so, frustrating, if he had to carry the load of two people simply because the man had been late, or worse, absent.
