Hello friends! Thanks for sticking with us for so long and bearing through what has (quite accurately) been a mess known as the AP system. Noting the disparity of AP, excess AP surpassing rank and lack of fruitfulness of shop updates, as well as the uselessness as quests being a source of AP as opposed to a simple ranking up requirement, the staff has decided to change the currency system(s) of the site. To ensure the transparency of this huge change, we will be listing everything you need to know moving forward:
[break][break]
Introducing, gold.
[break][break]
Gold will now be the official currency of the site for buying IC items at the store. Examples of such items include:[break][break]
Scrolls, both general and affinity[break][break]
Miscellaneous items like runes, crystals [break][break]
Brand new items like enchanted trinkets and wands, broomsticks, etc.
[break][break]
Gold will be earnable through:[break][break]
Missions[break][break]
A 20 gold per post system and [break][break]
Event participation[break][break]
AP will remain a ‘currency’ but will resonate more with character progression that material development. It will now be able to be spent on:[break][break]
Ranking up, which will no longer reset AP.[break][break]
Buying techniques from the shop.[break][break]
Buying newly introduced “OOC” items from the shop, including character benefits/roles or locked affinities, predetermined NPC relationships, creation of signature scrolls, etc.[break][break]
The biggest change is that AP will no longer be earnable on a per-post basis. Instead, methods of earning AP will now be as follows:[break][break]
Missions, which will reward a slightly increased average amount of AP[break][break]
Quests, which will continue to reward the same amount of AP.[break][break]
Event Participation, which will reward a slightly increased average amount of AP and events themselves will be made more frequent.[break][break]
In order to make sure we move into these changed systems swiftly but without hitch, staff has declared a one-week transition phase. In this phase, AP earning through post has been suspended, but gold earnings per post has not yet been enabled. [break][break]
Instead, gold may now be bought with AP on a 1 AP for 20 G rate.[break][break]
Characters having AP that exceeds their current rank up demand will have their AP erased at the end of the transition week to bridge the gap between old and new members. Please trade in your AP and bear with us![break][break]
Characters whose AP does not exceed the current ask need not worry about cut offs, but they are still able to trade AP for a chance at gold to obtain different items available at the shop.[break][break]
