this is Salem, a land filled with magic and maladies. It is a place where witches and their elemental familiars gather, a home to legend and
lore that predates time itself. Yet of all the wicked and wonderful stories the past can tell us of, the most magical are the ones yet to happen.
This is Salem - this is the start of your very own journey. Welcome to starfall
Starfall is an animaga witch roleplay set in mostly modern times. Members play as witches in a world plagued by monsters, where the only safe spots are walled cities. Starfall strives to be a character-driven roleplay with expansive lore and a highly interactive plotline. We want to allow members to
create and look back on a magical journey, and mold the site and its plot as their characters grow.

Lynnelia couldn’t see the point in sparking idiotic rumors of the existence of a coven — what was there to gain? What was the motive to coming to a decision to challenge an organization? Why would no one consider the consequences in spreading the name of Leviathan in such a way that they could be discovered? [break] Foolish bastards, Lynnelia thought with evident distaste; while she did consider her coven to be a sort of family now, even barring that connection it was a precarious game they were playing — and an edge they shouldn’t have bothered to leap from. They’re asking for a death sentence. [break] All was quiet as Lynnelia moved upon Bell’s Bar— they’d gotten a tip off that there was to be a small gathering there, and what better way to gather information than in a place where they believe they can’t be overheard? Yet another foolish action: speaking in public, in groups, when they have no clue who could be watching them. [break] Lynnelia didn’t know if she could find it within herself to pity that bit anymore; she wasn’t one to treat familial threats with any sort of, for lack of a better word, mercy, but she supposed it warranted some level of compassion— their poor souls, so stupid to act as they had, seemed only to continue on their mission of self-destruction. [break] She knew of two other witches who were to accompany her — power in numbers and all — on the prowl, and would prove a great aid should things turn against their favor, though she figured they wouldn’t be hard to recognize should she see them; they were fellow Leviathans, after all. [break] The door to the bar creaked as she entered, demeanor remaining relatively impassive as she moved through the establishment to pinpoint the group’s location and sat herself in such a place to hear through the din; she ordered herself a mild, harmless drink to avoid suspicion, and waited patiently for others to arrive.
t's not hard to hide a coven from the prying eyes and ears of the public; one just needs be quiet and subtle. They don't flaunt uniforms nor symbolism, and what exists is kept secret. What is difficult, however, isn't hiding per se, but staying hidden. Members of Leviathan are supposed to keep themselves under oath, but just one slip-up, one confession or secret, and the whole illusion may just collapse.
Which is why, when Sundial had exploded with rumours of Leviathan, that the coven had decided to take action immediately. A supposed meetup at Bell's Bar would send Cassidy and two others on a stakeout mission. It's as straightforward as ever--just gather intel on the group. But considering her luck, anything that could go wrong would go wrong.
She can only hope that they won't set fire to Bell's Bar, at least.
She pushes at the weathered door and steps inside, taking in the sour scent of alcohol and greasy food. As with any tavern, it's as lively as ever. She scans the crowd, eyes lining up on the group of strangers that looked particularly suspicious, and then at Lynnelia that had chosen her seat nearby.
In a leather jacket and boots to match, Cassidy makes her way to their table and greets Lynnelia with more pep than usual, hands reaching forward to hug her teammate, and perhaps even give her an excited side kiss if she allowed.
"Oh Merlin, you haven't changed at all Hanna! How have you been?"
