this is Salem, a land filled with magic and maladies. It is a place where witches and their elemental familiars gather, a home to legend and
lore that predates time itself. Yet of all the wicked and wonderful stories the past can tell us of, the most magical are the ones yet to happen.
This is Salem - this is the start of your very own journey. Welcome to starfall
Starfall is an animaga witch roleplay set in mostly modern times. Members play as witches in a world plagued by monsters, where the only safe spots are walled cities. Starfall strives to be a character-driven roleplay with expansive lore and a highly interactive plotline. We want to allow members to
create and look back on a magical journey, and mold the site and its plot as their characters grow.

She startles the pinkette not just once, but twice. She is in so much hurry to leave the forsaken forest and go home. She does not have any schedules for tomorrow and the next day and all she wants to do is to pamper herself. In her haste she hasn't been paying attention to the consequences of her action. "Raven, calm down," Dai tells her, and she did. "Sorry," she mumbles to her partner. Her forceful tug spills some of the water in Obelisk's fishbowl. Merlin... what if Obelisk actually slips out? Raven shudders.
Jelly has always been patient with her, that she is thankful. "We should do more missions together!" she says, voice normal, but sounding loud in the night. This time, she takes everything slowly, but surely.
They make their way out of the jungle rather uneventfully. Raven lags behind as usual, while Dai remains at the far back, patiently matching her pace just so she wouldn't get lost. For the rest of the hike, the girl would continuously complain about the bugs and the pricks and the cold night, basically about everything. Dai remains silent all throughout, just pushing his witch forward when she walks too slowly. Her outfit is ripped at the seams--surprisingly, the boots hold on--but the rest would have to be dumped. It can recycled, but Raven isn't one to do that.
Hopefully they get out of there without facing any more snakes, Raven thinks. Never mind her outfit.

The journey out of the forest makes her quite jumpy, but she's trying her best to calm herself down. It's almost the dead of night, so it's only natural for her to feel quite nervous with every step that they take. Raven had been in a similar disposition a few moments ago, and Jelly and Obelisk are forced to indulge in this nervousness. Looks like Jelly's been infected with such nervousness as well.
But they are almost there, and Jelly feel absolutely glad that they are. Raven, while they are walking, declares that they go on more missions together, and Jelly simply smiles at that. She never thought that someone would want to go on missions with someone like her. Raven is someone way out of her league; but at least she had done her best. First mission, to now.
It's a few more moments and they are finally out of the forest. No more snakes hunting them down, nothing more to do but report tomorrow. The emerald is still with her; she was thinking about keeping the emerald in Obelisk's fishbowl for safe-keeping, but it's not much an equivalent for a shoulder bag. Raven is still complaining about the bugs, and as always Jelly is amused with this behavior.
The pinkette looks up the sky and sighs, before turning back to the white-haired woman. "So... I guess this means see you, then?" After all, they need to go home, and Jelly is obligated to sleep for the night. The emerald would also mean quite a lot; she could not afford losing it again.

Finally, finally, they make it out of the forest. Raven has no means of telling the time, she just knows it's late, awfully so. They've followed that trail for how many hours, and has spent a good thirty minutes just picking up berries and leaves and treats, she anticipates dealing with the creature would involve another hour more... but it actually took them the least time, hasn't it? The carbuncle is especially cautious, but cooperative at the very least. Raven hopes it enjoyed the berries.
"Yeah, thank you," Raven manages with a tired smile. She just wants to go home at this point in time. Jelly is speaking about seeing her soon, and Raven nods absentmindedly, deep in thinking. "It'll be interesting if we could meet in a much more fun event... oh, I know!" Raven reaches for pouch. It's something she always brings, whatever the occasion. It contains her necklace with the bark of The Cross, as well as some useful scrolls and passages and emergency items. "Wait for a minute..." she tells Jelly as she fishes something off the pouch. She brings out a small piece of paper. What is written in that piece of paper are words that would allow Jelly to enter Raven's next musical, due to in about two months or so.
She holds it out for Jelly with two hands and a bow. "I hope you like musicals," Raven says, smiling. "That's only if you wish to see one, that is. I'll be there, too!"
Of course, Raven doesn't say she'll be performing on stage, and not with Jelly as audience.

Raven manages a small 'thank you', and Jelly could do nothing but smile back at her. The adventure has been fun so far, with only a few dangers coming their way, but then again, there is always time and space for a usual departure. Jelly wouldn't forget this moment, oh if only she could keep the emerald to herself... but things like this will always stick in her mind and they will not leave so easily.
And then the diva suddenly announces that they should meet again, Jelly half-expecting that she'd be talking about another mission. That is, until Raven hands her a paper, which to Jelly seems like an invitation to a musical play. Jelly guesses that Raven would be the star of this show; based on this woman's reputation, what would one expect from her more than this?
The pinkette smiles softly and takes the invitation, slipping it in her short pocket; it would be rude to refuse such a nice invitation such as this. "I will definitely think about it." She says, strangely truthful than she was the usual. Jelly didn't have time for such events like this, and was always the norm, but for Raven, she can reconsider her choices.
Once that is done, she nods at the other and smiles wider than before. "Right. By the way... we should go home. It's dark already and it looks like you need some rest." Jelly states, putting two hands on both hips and tilting her head. "Nighty night, Raven."

Raven beams at that. It really makes her happy when people go to her shows. She is famous, that is certain, and she really enjoys it. She loves seeing people admire the skills she's worked hard. She loves to entertain people. Don't get her wrong, though. She hates the paparazzi, the pushy journalists, the creepy stalkers, the tight schedule. But she'd take them all again just to stand on stage one more time. She knows she's just an entertainer. A distraction, sort of, someone people watch just to distract themselves from their problems. The industry thrives at such marketability.
She's glad, whatever the circumstances are. For the most part, anyway.
"Thank you, Jelly. Yeah, I really do," she says then. She's had some activities this afternoon and has to go straight to this mission. Tomorrow is pretty light, thankfully. When Jelly bows, so does Raven. She does the bow she usually do on the stage--left arm folded at the back, the right arm cradled to her stomach. She dips her head and puts her left lag back in a tiptoe. Quite an extra feat.
When she straightens back up again, she waves once at Jelly just as she says, "You, too. I'll be going then. Good night!" Once all is said and done, Raven turns her back to the woman. She and Dai then makes their way to the designated place where their carriage is at. It's been a long night, indeed, and finally, finally, as the carriage moves--she's calling it a day.
She drifts into sleep even while inside the car. Raven is shaken awake by the coach driver whom she snaps at for disturbing her sleep.

The other woman does seem to agree about being tired, and Jelly could already tell. There was so much work done just that afternoon, with Jelly shopping for some necessary supplies for a study she had conducted with Obelisk, and other more necessary stuff to do. Resting for the night is something she more than needed right now. Tomorrow, there would be less things to be done, as all chores have almost been finished today.
As they both bow at each other, Raven waves and says her farewells, Jelly watching as she disappears into the shadows. The pinkette has had enough for today; going home would be nice. There's nothing much more to be done here, after all. No more snakes to hypnotize, and no more carbuncles to hunt for.
Jelly spares a look at the emerald on her hands, while she leaves and walks the opposite to where Raven had disappeared into. She is instantly reminded that she would still have to report to the anonymous sponsor tomorrow before doing anything she would want. She closes her fist and clutches the jewel in her hands, before perking her head up to focus on the path to home.
Overall, it was a fulfilling day. Jelly was sure to not forget about it.
