this here is a working man. he doesn't know a friendship outside of blood. fellow silvertongues, fellow purifiers. anyone with higher than usual culinary ability. anyone with similar roots. someone to play mommy for the big idiot. a friend to punch and who punches him back. a very smart friend and bello is not that smart but realizes it would be useful to have someone like them around. someone smaller and weaker and bello turns soft for them. small friend gets sick and bello takes care of them and everyone is surprised at how nurturing he can be. someone bello is stuck spending a lot of time with just because of work, they're "friends".

besides being a general asshole ... and being hired muscle/ interrogator/ torturer im not really seeing why someone would wanna be his enemy. everyone is free to hate and fight the giant. it wont matter to him. other people? tiny little obstacles.

listen, bello is listed officially as UNINTERESTED. he is really just a "clear out the pipes" kinda guy. im sure he wouldn't mind someone to kiss a bit when he was in the need for that kinda contact. he is, surprisingly, not lacking the characteristics that would make someone a good lover. just busy. someone who sees him and tries to make him slow down, except bello would never do that and it ends as soon as he realizes their intentions. someone who sees bello and appreciates his determination but they inevitably fall to the wayside. someone who loves him from a distance because they know its all he can give. someone to bring home to his dead grandmother. a plantshaper, someone else who speaks to the land. a lover who is mostly a coworker and feelings are never acknowledged.
