this is Salem, a land filled with magic and maladies. It is a place where witches and their elemental familiars gather, a home to legend and
lore that predates time itself. Yet of all the wicked and wonderful stories the past can tell us of, the most magical are the ones yet to happen.
This is Salem - this is the start of your very own journey. Welcome to starfall
Starfall is an animaga witch roleplay set in mostly modern times. Members play as witches in a world plagued by monsters, where the only safe spots are walled cities. Starfall strives to be a character-driven roleplay with expansive lore and a highly interactive plotline. We want to allow members to
create and look back on a magical journey, and mold the site and its plot as their characters grow.
"Uuhr? Am I going the right way?" The witch pondered, standing in the middle of a bustling street frantically looking around. His face was all red from the nerves of being lost and he kept getting barged into by other busy folk of the city centre. "Oh how am I going to join a coven if I can't even find the bloody thing." Sighing, he'd push his way across the street and stand near a closed shop wall, giving him some time to catch his breath.
It was Sybil's birthday quite some time ago, and every time a member of their family turn 18, they apply to join Helios Knights. It was just tradition, same age, same coven. Of course Sybil (being the black sheep that he is), took his sweet time getting ready for it. His parents pretty much gave up with the whole ordeal and decided to let him solve it himself, while his brothers bragged about how they were always organised and prepared for everything. Thank god he'd be able to get out that mansion for some time.
However, Sybil was starting to think it would have been better if he didn't join a coven at all. It's not like his magic was any good, was there any point in helping someone who sucked as bad as he did? Well, that's what his brothers said anyway. Sybil had no personal opinion on his own magical prowess, he just believed what others told him. "Okay," he shook his head, "I'm sure the map said there was a left turn somewhere?"

City centre was a nice place to be, if you didn't mind the noise and the constand hustle and bustle. Which Matteo didn't, and though he was doing some delicate work making some wind-up toys to sell, he was sitting on a bench, fiddling with them in his palm. It wasn't like someone would snatch it from his grasp right then and there.[break][break] Plus, it's a good break from being cooped up in his workshop. As much as he loves the place, it does get kind of lonely there, being all by himself as he works. And frankly, business today wasn't looking so great, either. So he'd come here to delude himself into thinking he was not alone. Or something. He has friends, yes, but to socialize means to lose focus. To lose focus means shoddy work, and he can't sell that.[break][break] There's a boy looking very lost just across from his spot on the bench. Matteo, having just looked up after fiddling with a toy mouse he'd been making, had spotted the male. After a few seconds of debate, he slips the toy into his toolbelt pocket and approaches. [break][break] "Hey, do you need some help?" he asks, a grin on his face. He doesn't want to scare him, though he doubts he will - he's too scrawny to be much of a threat.
Just as he was about to give up, a guardian angel appeared. Well, a guardian angel with scruffy hair, dirt on his face and just generally tatty. His mother would have hated the sight of this boy. Which is exactly why Sybil loved it! This guy looked so cool! So unique! Literally everything that the upper class witches weren't. Sybil started blushing, shuffling a bit, "That obvious huh?" he joked, staring at the ground.
Sybil would never get help like this from where he's from. Everyone is far too independent to help anyone else. So this was actually really nice, it warmed his little heart. "I was looking for the Helios Knights coven? I'm actually enrolling today." he sighed, "That's if I can get there."
Weston turned around, scanning the crowd, "Do you know where it is?" He sure hoped so. Sybil could only imagine the shit he'd be put through by his parents and older brothers. They'd tease him endlessly if they found out he couldn't even navigate a map on his own. Man he was useless.

Matteo laughed a little at the boy's jibe, but it's a friendly one, and one he hopes soothes the boy's nerves a bit. Though admittedly, his laugh sometimes came off as just a tad too boisterous...[break][break] "You're not far," Matteo says, turning so he's facing the direction of the coven's headquarters. "The Knights are over thataways. Just follow this street, take a left after two blocks, then a right, and you'll find it." He wonders if the boy will remember his directions, actually. Even for himself, he had to think a little bit. And he knew where the place was, too.[break][break] He does, however, stick out his hand and flash the male a grin. "Congrats on enrolling, though! I'm sure you'll like it there." He tries to keep the bitterness out of his voice. Matteo himself had wanted to attend and be a Knight. But they wouldn't want someone without talent, someone from the lower middle class life, someone who just tends to be grubby and has no connections...
