this is Salem, a land filled with magic and maladies. It is a place where witches and their elemental familiars gather, a home to legend and
lore that predates time itself. Yet of all the wicked and wonderful stories the past can tell us of, the most magical are the ones yet to happen.
This is Salem - this is the start of your very own journey. Welcome to starfall
Starfall is an animaga witch roleplay set in mostly modern times. Members play as witches in a world plagued by monsters, where the only safe spots are walled cities. Starfall strives to be a character-driven roleplay with expansive lore and a highly interactive plotline. We want to allow members to
create and look back on a magical journey, and mold the site and its plot as their characters grow.

...Renting things is...
sob
...Painful.
---"You okay there miss?"
A single tear. That is the most she allowed (or rather forced) to show through her cheerful facade. No, no. She had to be strong today. It was for the better good, and from here on, her path was set to success. Even so, through transportation back and forth, photoshooting over several hours, and eventually having to spend the night in a hostel, Leila's personal wallet didn't take this too well. The same went for the lady, doing her absolute best to bite her lip and restrain the tears. She spent... So much...! Why is it so expensive here!?
"--Aaah, nothing wrong! Please, don't mind me. I was just... A little touched, is all." She excused to the man setting up his odd device. She'd never admit to struggling to pay for this much. --That is to say, she didn't actually 'struggle' with it. But the expense was solidly felt regardless. Now if there was anything positive about this though, it would be the scenery.
She didn't pay so much for transportation over nothing. The beach was an ideal spot. Renowned the most beautiful place Sundial had to offer, it couldn't get more perfect than this. With the array of terrains given-- the beach, the ocean and the rocks around, they were sure to get a nice collection staying here. Hopefully until nighttime too! "More importantly, Gert." Quick to brush the tear away, Leila turned to the round man, smiling like always. "Are preparations done yet? I'd hate to take more of your time than I'd need... Seeing how you too have to leave today." --But mostly because that'd just cost extra.
Gert grinned. "Nah, no worries." He replied, giving a heart thumbs-up. "It's all done." Good. With a wide arsenal of attires and clothes prepared, protected from the sandy breeze of the beach, Leila waited for her models.
"Hmm! --Oh. Well, great timing! Here they are now."

Cass stood at the top of the sand dune overlooking the sprawling coastline. It didn’t seem too busy for this time of day. There were a fair amount of younger people wandering around, the stalls seemed to be set up and distributing. The sun wasn’t super high and there was a nice breeze blowing in off of the ocean. Waves crashed rhythmically in beautiful multicolored sprays, the sand was nice and warm, and the birds seemed only off in the distance. So why wasn’t Cassius happy?
For starters, he wasn’t really a beach person.
Now, he did enjoy the beach, but he enjoyed lounging around on the beach, not swimming, and definitely not modeling. That was probably the main problem with his day, if he was going to be honest. It’s one thing to be used to not having an arm, but it’s another thing to model for a camera snapping pictures of you minus it. And on top of that, not only did he not mean to accept this mission, but it seemed to him the guys at Jester’s Den learned of it, even though he tried his best to keep it a secret. Figures though. They always find out eventually.
With a sigh, Cassius checked the small bag on his back, making sure the bandages he could use for a prosthetic where in there (which they were), before closing it and slinging it over his shoulder. He walked forward, dressed in a thin, colored beach-style dress shirt that was open and flapping in the gentle breeze, with a simple white tank-top underneath, some artsy board shorts and some light leather flip flops. He figured if he was going to do this he would at least own it.
He scanned the beach as he was walking down, the sun glinting off of his glasses. He quickly spotted the section that was cordoned off with signs, and held a young, silver-haired woman waving him down, and a camera man just finishing setting up his shot. He waved back, a smile finding itself broadly upon his face. “Hi, I take it you’re Leila?” He called out as he approached, hand going from waving to extended to shake her hand. “I have to admit, this is my first time doing this sort of thing, so just tell me what you want me to do and I’ll do my best.” He sat his bag down next to the camera man asking him if he could watch it, before turning back to his hostess. “If the lack of an arm is a problem I can throw on my replacement real quick, it wouldn’t be a hassle.” In truth he didn’t care right away. The bandages were more of a formality to keep the shadow arm covered so it didn’t look like a big black claw sticking out. At least it would look like a wrapped up claw. But again, after being down here in the sun, the heat had managed to relax his nerves a bit as he turned to see the other models coming down.
When Leila had approached Nana about being a model, well, she was flattered. Of course Nana knew she was pretty, but pretty enough to model? Apparently. Cadbeary had to reassure her that she was pretty a lot of the time (Seriously, if she was pretty, why didn't anyone want to date her? Was she really that ugly? Maybe it was her personality.)
Nonetheless, Nana was here, at the beach, after a lot of encouragement from her familiar. She was wearing simple sports shorts and a bikini top (a nice shade of purple). Her feet were being protected from the hot sand by a pair of black flip flops. Figuring she would be changing in and out of clothes, Nana dressed lightly for the occasion, and in clothes that she could easily remove.
Her trek through the sand was slow, she was a bit confused on where to go, but when she caught sight of the cameras and a familiar head of silver hair, the girl made a break for it. With a wide smile on her face, Nana waved to her friend. "Leilaaaaaaaa! I'm heeeere!" Perhaps she was a bit loud, but oh well. They were outside, on the beach. One could afford to be loud on the beach, right?
Steps slowing as she neared, Nana looked to the other person that had gathered already. "You must be one of the other models? I'm Nana. It's nice to meet you!" The missing arm didn't bother her in the slightest- she didn't care. It simply meant that he was strong and has seen battles before. With a nod of her head, Nana held out a hand. "I can't wait to work with you!"
