this is Salem, a land filled with magic and maladies. It is a place where witches and their elemental familiars gather, a home to legend and
lore that predates time itself. Yet of all the wicked and wonderful stories the past can tell us of, the most magical are the ones yet to happen.
This is Salem - this is the start of your very own journey. Welcome to starfall
Starfall is an animaga witch roleplay set in mostly modern times. Members play as witches in a world plagued by monsters, where the only safe spots are walled cities. Starfall strives to be a character-driven roleplay with expansive lore and a highly interactive plotline. We want to allow members to
create and look back on a magical journey, and mold the site and its plot as their characters grow.
Before Raven even disappears from her line of site she could see her partner moving her thumb around her neck and then pointing to the goth maid; Jelly could giggle at that if no one was watching or ordering her around, but sadly that was far from the truth. She did hope Raven would manage to finish that woman off. Perhaps after she's done with this butler she could help her out in case that woman decides to fight.
But then again, there was work to do, and that is emphasized by the butler's actions. Both finally stop at the kitchen, with maybe over a hundred tables standing at certain distances away from each other. She turns to him as he sighs and sets the table down, swiping his forehead with an arm. "Whew... finally done with. Luckily this was the last table." He pats the certain object as if it had been an old friend of his, before turning to her with a glum look. "So... you just gonna stand there or are you gonna do something productive?"
If she could punch someone, she could, and this young man would be the first to taste her wrath. Unfortunately, she needs to act modest, and even if she hates doing such thing, she would have to comply for the mission. The pinkette coughs intentionally and closes her eyes, raising her chin. "It doesn't seem like I would be of any use to any more services anymore, so I should probably just help my friend with some more matters--"
She is interrupted when the gates are thrown wide open, and people barge in, all clad in formal wear fit for rich people. Both the pinkette and the butler's eyes widen.
"The party's starting?!" "The party's starting?!"
Unexpectedly, both of them exclaim this in unison, which causes them to look at each other in disbelief. Jelly then shakes her head and grumbles impatiently, quickly walking away from the kitchen.
"H-Hey! You!" She hears him yell from behind her, but she does not turn back. "Where do you think you are going--"
"STOP ordering me the fuck around!" Jelly whips her head to glare at him, and the butler is taken aback. "I've got to help someone else! I think you should know that!" But unfortunately he does not know... nor should he know about it.
Leaving the butler standing in shock, she makes her way to the hallway, and then towards the main hall where they all had been. Raven and that goth should still be here. Once she arrives, the pinkette looks around, carefully taking a few steps forward. Sure enough, she does see a figure standing outside a door that she thinks is Raven, or the goth.
"Raven." She calls out, almost in a whisper, and she begins walking up to where the white-haired woman is standing.

Raven waits for the maid to spill the piping hot tea. She raises an eyebrow at the woman in front of her, not trying to hide her bitchiness anymore. Hostile as she may seem... she just doesn't trust the woman. "Well?" Raven prods, irritation clear in her voice. Raven swears she could see the goth's face going darker, and at that very moment she wants to bolt. Get out of here. Fight. Defend.
And then she hears Jelly's voice. Thank Merlin... Having her around gives Raven much more confidence to get out of this shit in one piece. Raven looks at the pinkette and meets her halfway, before gesturing to the goth maid standing idle in the middle of the room. "She said she has information on the witch we're looking for." Raven squints at the maid. "Hurry now, we don't have much time."
And then the woman reaches something from her back pocket. Whatever it is, Raven can't see. It's something small, and she holds it gingerly on her hand. "Take a look." The goth then puts her arm forward, palms up, with the small thing in it. Raven leans closer to Jelly, mouthing the words, "I don't trust her. I don't trust her at all..."
As Raven huddles closer to the pinkette, the maid does the unthinkable. She smiles. A dead smile. An omen. "Here. This is the clue I'm talking about. It's a symbol found on the skin of the vile witch." Raven does not make a move. She holds Jelly on her wrist, tugging slightly. This is a trap.
But they are wrong. It's an attack. With a quick flip of her wrist, the goth maid throws the thing at them--and now Raven could see. It isn't a symbol or a sketch. It's a vial. Raven pushes Jelly away from the open door, to avoid the blast... the vial hits the floor and smoke fills the room, then the corridor.

She approaches Raven before anything else is done; the pinkette listens to what her partner has to say, before she turns to the goth and urges her to hurry. Information, her ass... all the information they really need is right here. In front of them. That goth maid herself. There's no denying it. The goth doesn't speak for a few minutes, before finally, she turns and holds up her palm, holding something that Jelly cannot see for now.
It's dark in the room where the maid is, rendering that little thing invisible and enveloped in darkness. She catches Raven mouth to her from the corner of her eye, and she does the same. "Me neither." She mouths without sound; maybe even a single word would probably trigger the maid to attack them.
Which is probably coming sooner.
And it does, once the maid smiles -- eerily -- at them; it sends shivers down the pinkette's spine. Only looking at her smiling would scare the crap out of anyone who would look at her. No wonder Alesso's afraid of this woman. She's a vile witch, something that she'd called herself before finally revealing whatever thing she was holding; and Jelly is surprised with the unexpected.
First, the vial was thrown at their direction. Second, she is suddenly pushed away from the open door by Raven.
The vial hits the floor and breaks, smoke coming erupting from the air like wildfire.
The area is still covered in smoke; Jelly coughs, covering her mouth with a fist. One eye opened, she looks around for any signs of either Raven or the goth. Finding none of them, she groans, standing up from where she is and looking around the smoky area with rapid turns to each direction.
"Come out!" She shouts from the dark area. "Come out, you sadistic bitch!"
She doesn't know it, but the gothic maid is slowly walking behind her with a sadistic grin on her face, holding a curved sword and preparing to stab it at the pinkette.

The vial scares the shit out of Raven. So scared, it triggers her fight or flight response. She shoves Jelly out of the way, right at the nick of time before the vial hits the ground. The next thing she knows, she's being suffocated by the smoke. Oh heavens, is there a fire?! But it doesn't smell like something is burning... she would know, since she is a fire elemental. Raven holds her breath and squints her eyes. There is no fire--this smoke is to distract them.
Merlin knows if the smoke is poisonous, though. In the chaos Raven finds herself separated from Jelly. The smoke has not only filled the room, but is also beginning to engulf the narrow corridor. "Jelly!" Raven yells as loud as she could. "Where are you?!" she shouts even louder.
And then she hears it--Jelly's voice, seemingly coming further down the corridor. Raven's heart thunders--she wants to be beside the pinkette now, more than anything else in the world. And so Raven covers her mouth and squints her eyes, and braves the thick smoke. She blindly pushes forward, hoping, hoping so fervently, that she would find the pinkette.
However, she finds someone else. At first, she sees a hazy figure in the midst of the blinding smoke. Thinking it's Jelly, Raven hurries her pace. She runs and meets the figure, bumping into the woman with haste. The force is enough to make the woman stumble on her tracks. "Jelly--" but the words get stuck in Raven's throat, and she can't force any of it out. The figure looks back at her with eyes so fiery, so angry.
At once, the gothic maid strikes at her. Raven is too shocked to dodge. "Bitch--" Raven only has time to shield her face with her arms. However, the band of thorns nestled as an assuming bracelet on her right wrist lashes out on the gothic maid.

There is no sign of anyone else in the smoke. Not even a figure could be seen. She only sees herself stumbling ahead unconsciously, trying to find someone she knows is impossible to detect. With a smoke this thick, there's no chance of going some place where you know you want to be. You have to slip into it, without looking back, without regretting your decisions.
And so Jelly does that; she walks into the hall without knowing where to go. She is done screaming, and she is done wanting to know where Raven could have been. Jelly needs to search for her herself without any obstacle, and only then could they fight the gothic maid -- witch -- together in a whim.
But she stops when she hears a familiar voice, and albeit soft, she still hears it. Was that Raven? She hopes it is, she really does. So she carefully walks to where she had heard the noise, even with the smoke intending to stop her and cover up her path.
Jelly finds a fork and holds onto it for self-defense; then she looks onto the fog again and she swears she could see two disheveled figures a few distances away. Luckily the fog is thinning, but not enough for one to know where they are going. Still, she keeps walking, holding the fork tightly. She turns her head side to side for good measure, in case there is something else in the background--
She almost stumbles down to the ground when she accidentally pushes someone off to the ground; at first she is glad, as she thought it was Raven, but she swallows once she realizes who it actually is just by looking at her face. The gothic maid looks at her, very angry; there is also a scratch on her hip. Was there something that could have stabbed her? Or shot at her, at least?
Regardless, she instantly backs away before the maid even has time to think; adjusting Obelisk's fishbowl which had accidentally tipped and almost spilled him out of his home, she holds out her hand to where the maid is. Obelisk knows; and in an instant, mana gathers at the palm of her hand and turns into dark purple smoke, then shooting to where the maid is and forming a CAGE OF SHADOWS around her.
There is no time to think. Jelly couldn't possibly let go now. Then she remembers that she has to search for her company and, looking around and turning her head rapidly, she surveys the foggy surroundings frantically for the white-haired witch. "Raven!" She screams, her arm almost about to give up. "Raven! Where are you!?"
She must be nearby, she thinks to herself. How could I have possibly walked into the maid if she wouldn't have been attacking her?

As pathetic as she is, Raven loses her footing as soon as the band start to strike. The action is too strong for Raven's panicked mind, and so she is not able to maintain her balance and falls gracelessly to the floor. It causes the thorns to strike not at the goth's face but at her leg. When the maid rears back because of the injury, the thorns also withdraw, whipping back to the bracelet. Raven rubs at her wrists. This is going to cause bruises later. Well, it's better than getting stabbed at the gut, at the very least.
Being on the ground opens up another possibility for Raven. She can see much better being on the ground than standing up in the open. Smoke doesn't cling to the ground, and so she can actually see and not suffocate. She rolls over so she's laying on her stomach, then props herself up using her elbows. She can see two pairs of legs, with one leg dripping blood. There is a dark purple whisp enveloping the goth maid. It eventually manages to trap the maid--but Raven isn't going to take any chances.
She creeps to the ground as fast as possible, using her elbows to crawl towards the goth. She is putting so much effort, her elbows started to hurt. Luckily it's a short distance. She fishes out a particularly piece of clothing from her pocket, grabs it tightly on one end. "HIYAAAA!" Raven yells in exertion, whipping the legs of the maid. It wouldn't hurt, but it would attach itself to the leg, creeping its way up and around the maid. (STRANGLE SCARF) Raven hopes it would be enough to limit her movements, at the very least.
Raven then struggles to stand up, afterwards dashing towards Jelly. "Jelly! I'm here!" she yells then in a high-pitched tone. "Thank Merlin you're safe!" She feels much safer now that she is beside the other woman. The smoke starts to clear, revealing the trapped goth, both in shadows and in a constricting scarf.
notes // oooof i hope this is ok! feel free to advance it however u like!
The goth is still trapped, which is great. Truly great. But Jelly knows she would not be able to hold on for long; the pink-haired witch tries to find something, anything aside from this measly fork to attack this witch with should there come a time that she would have no choice but to let go. But the mana is too strong now. She has no experience to control it... yet.
But she does not need to search any further. She hears what seems like a female war cry only a few distances away, and she sees the goth's legs tied up by what seems like a scarf, that doesn't seem to let go with only a few tugs. She is visibly annoyed, and very angry that is amuses her. Jelly thinks -- knows -- that the one who had done the scarf deed was someone she knew.
Indeed, it was someone she knew. Her partner's voice makes itself evident and she thanks Merlin out loud for having found her. Jelly could think the same, very much. She'd be a lost cause if Raven hadn't made herself known yet, and it feels nice to know she was not alone in fighting this witch off. She laughs at the white-haired witch and smiles. "Good Salem, I thought I lost you in that fog." There was no helping it. She was worried.
"Help! Help!"
She hears the gothic witch shout from where she is. The pinkette glares, crossing her arms. The Cage of Shadows is still there, luckily. "Oh, don't even think about it. No one's ever gonna find us here; before we turn you in, that is." A large smirk is evident on her face, and she turns away from the witch, cocking her head haughtily upward. "One needs to be patient first before they are arrested, however--"
...Having said that, she wished she could take it back.
For once she had faced the door, her eyes widened once she sees the recognizable face of a butler, looking at them with equally bewildered and shocked eyes.
Post by raven delacroix on Feb 1, 2019 0:10:12 GMT
Raven clings onto Jelly for dear life, as if Jelly is life itself. She shakes her head violently at the pinkette's words. "You're not getting rid of me that easily." Even if she's annoying, or her presence in a single room is too much, even if people want her gone, she's not going down.
Adrenaline starts to wane and Raven calms down as the high fades. Now she's able to look at things from a perspective other than impulse. The goth maid is effectively bound with the cage and the scarf. Raven finds a shit-eating grin creep on her face. She joins Jelly in trash-talking the maid, all of which the maid returns with a more forceful cry along with a deadly glare. "HAH! Take that you useless maid! Even if you call no one would hear you!"
It's too soon. All too soon to celebrate. Raven doesn't care. All they have to do now is to knock her out ( for real ) and bring her to the Head of the House ( who's probably still cowering in fear ).
"What are you doing to the head maid?"
Like twins, Raven and Jelly turn towards the voice. The butler's face is bewildered. As expected, but totally uncalled for. Raven could tell he isn't afraid of the maid, though--he's afraid of them. Raven is quick to react but too late to prevent the reaction. "No, no, no, this isn't what you think--"
"I'm going to report you!!!" the butler yells, cutting Raven's sentence off, before turning back and running away. There's no telling what might he do unless they act quick. Raven is in a panic, though. She looks at Jelly with worry. "Jelly, what do we do? I don't want us to separate with her around," she says. She takes a doubtful glance at the bound maid, whose face is now carefully inscrutable.

That servant. That butler. That bastard. Jelly swears he ruins everything. She'd never taken a liking to him in the first place. Even with him helping her with the table and moving it to the other room with her, even with how she'd managed to make him cooperate, there's always something about that guy that she absolutely hates and she now sees what it is. His ego, the feeling of actually knowing what's going on without even asking the true witnesses what had actually transpired.
And now he's going to report them both; is she going to allow that?
No. Absolutely not.
Raven expresses her worries of what they should do and her anxiousness with leaving one of them behind. "...Fuck." She curses under her breath, and while sitting, she turns away from the witch and stares at the floor, eyebrows furrowed and trying to think of the suitable solution. From the corner of her eye she could see the now grinning witch, and she turns to her with a ferocious glare. "Stop grinning at me like that, you bitch." She hisses at the witch, the cage of shadows she seriously holds tight.
But the maid remains unfazed, still grinning and rolling her eyes sarcastically; Jelly leaves her alone and turns to Raven, an encouraging smile on her face. "Just... let them come here. They'll know who the real culprit is." She tells her, patting the other's shoulder. She then turns to the gothic maid with a smirk. "That'll surely teach her a lesson."

The pesky butler runs off with the very best intention: to ruin Jelly's and Raven's mission. Everything has been going so well. They managed to thwart the plan of the goth maid, instead they trapped her instead of her cornering them. Now she's trapped both with the cage of shadows and the strangle scarf. All they need to do now is to drag her to the headmaster's office.
But oh no, the brat has to come in and ruin everything. Raven huffs at Jelly's suggestion. Right, they should just come here. They'll just have to explain what's going on and the folks would believe them. They can even report this to the headmaster! That's right, the headmaster would totally believe them.
Raven nods. "Okay, we got this." They sure do. Raven has never been a very persuasive person. Sure, she's loud, and she's talented, but persuasive? It's not really Raven's cup of tea. But her golden voice holds power and she's confident in it. But she catches the sneer of the bound maid and Raven snaps.
"Oh, heathen!" Raven yells at the maid. "Why are you still so confident? You're completely helpless and there's nothing you can do to get out this situation. You're busted."
The maid just grins evilly. "Or am I?" she whispers. "You underestimate me, child. I run this household and it will take more than a few children to bring me down--" Right there, the scarf snakes its way to the maid's unruly mouth and zips it. The maid gives her a deadly glare.
"I like her better when she doesn't speak," she whispers to Jelly. She remain standing in the hallway, anticipating the arrival of Merlin knows who.

Dick boy still isn't here and she's grateful he isn't here. Hopefully he hasn't brought anyone to... witness this event, because if he did bring someone she would be more than happy to blind them all with butterflies. She remains sitting with Raven in the hall, and she smiles at Raven's evident enthusiasm to take down their enemy.
But then she hears chuckling from behind and she turns, hearing Raven express her disdain. The maid and the Raven have an all-out talk, about who is victorious in this battle, but for Jelly it seems more clearer as to who. Goth bitch loses. Raven and Jelly win this time. It's sad to think about, how goth maid tries to manipulate them into setting her free with trash talk. But she shuts up once Raven's strangle scarf does the job. Jelly's hand is still firm. She's not letting go.
She waits a little longer, but dick boy has still not arrived. She turns to Raven and smiles, turning to Obelisk. "Hey, out of boredom, I want to try something with the Colour Psychology scroll." She tells her partner, before pulling out the scroll and casting it immediately. Suddenly everyone around her -- at least, only four of them -- is glowing in some sort of color.
Jelly glows faint red; quite grateful their mission would end soon. Raven a bright yellow; probably enthusiasm. Obelisk, so much grey; bored out of his mind.
From the corner of her eye, she could see the glow of the goth maid.
Dark green. Mischievous.
Something is not right.
Jelly doesn't have time to warn Raven about the matter. She whirls her head around and she could see the goth maid grinning darkly at them; shards of ice protrude from the ground, speeding towards their direction; and they came so fast, Jelly had to push Raven out of the way without saying a word.
Doing this, the cage disappears.
The witch rips the scarf out of her mouth and runs off so quickly towards the back door.
Jelly's aura fades from faint red to bright red; she attempts to stand up with fury blazing in her eyes. "HEY! She screams at her, attempting to perform CAGE OF SHADOWS again, but it came too late. Her hand gave out, and she kneels in pain, groaning from the stinging sensation in her nerves.
"Fuck!" She yells, having nothing else to do. "She got away! She fucking got away!"
Before she says anything more, a stampede of footsteps echo from outside. Jelly slowly turns her head and from outside the door she could see a large crowd, attempting to get a better look inside the room to see what was happening. Leading them, of course, was the butler... whom she is actually grateful for coming late to the party.
Jelly grins at the butler; and she's surprised by herself as this isn't what she had expected to feel. "What're you looking for, dumbass?"
The crowd and the butler all glow grey blue, confused and wondering.

The cloth effectively shuts the maid's rowdy mouth, and Raven huffs and turns away. That's so much better, not hearing her monotone yet poisonous voice. Raven and Jelly waits and waits for the butler to come, but he never came. Raven squints her eyes and fidgets, tapping her sole against the floor repeatedly, chewing on her lower lip--she's nervous. The more she stands still, the more agitated she's becoming. Other than that, she's rather excited. Her crimson eyes never loses their fire as she stares straight into the hallway the boy disappeared into. Come at us, Raven thinks.
The white-haired Knight looks at Jelly's with her sudden announcement. She seems to be trying a new scroll, which, frankly, Raven doesn't have a say to. Raven watches as Jelly looks at each of them. Her eyes linger at her, then to Obelisk. And, then, to the goth maid. Raven doesn't have an idea to what Color Psychology does, but the scroll seems to catch Jelly's interest.
The next thing Raven knows is she's thrown to the side. Her eyes widen as her back hits the wall--and she gasps in pain. Fortunately Raven is able to catch her balance a second after. "Jelly, what the hell?!" she yells. Soon, the Knight realizes her anger is directed at the completely wrong person. Ice shards litter the place--where do these came from?--and Raven so quickly flicks her gaze towards the maid, who is not in the place she's supposed to be.
Jelly attempts to shoot out another shadow cage, but fails to do so and falls to the ground. Raven goes to her side and helps her get back up. "Fuck, we got too careless," the white-haired Knight whispers.
The crowd finally arrived, what great fucking timing. Raven huffs. "Come, get up." She stands, then, allowing Jelly to lean to her if needed. Then, she addressed the crowd with a question which finds silence as answer. "Do you know why you're here?" She looks at them each on the eye. Challenging. Provoking. But more than that--convincing.
The butler stops in his tracks, upon seeing the ice shards and the ripped off scarf littered on the ground. He also sees the way the duo gets back up--Raven's back still hurts. He frowns. "That's right, something's not adding up," Raven continues. "Because you are all here for the wrong reasons. However, it doesn't have to remain that way. We need your help."
A pause. A deep breath. And with a voice coated with mana (A GENTLE WHISPER), Raven says, "Help us."

The maid has escaped, and Jelly knows she and her companion should have to catch up to her soon. She could be wreaking havoc wherever she may be now, or perhaps have reached the headmaster to exact vengeance. But what is there to avenge when she'd been the one causing all this trouble and chaos to the people? What does she have to fight for, her freedom to cause doom? Jelly wants to scream at the witch's face at the thought of it. She hopes they could get away sooner than later.
But then, there is the problem with the crowd. That stupid butler who she's lost her patience on had decided to get the crowds and accuse them of doing wrong, when it's far from the truth and he should rub that on his filthy little face. The real enemy here is the goth maid, and she feels the need to tell him that and the crowds. But for now, her strength has faded from casting the CAGE OF SHADOWS for too long of a time, and she does not find a voice to tell them that.
Luckily, she has Raven, and she seems to get that idea as well. The next thing she knows, the white-haired witch is standing and telling them all of the true situation. Her commanding aura seems to convince the crowd, their ears all on her. Most are doubtful, yet most are convinced, and soon chatter begins to erupt among them. The butler is still questioning whether or not to believe them, but then again, where did those ice shards come from, if not from Jelly's and Raven's?
Raven's plea seems to reach the ears of the crowd, but the chatter of uncertainty is still there. The butler wants to get a closer look at the situation and Jelly lets him. "Dammit, this is bad..." He mumbles under his breath, the room littered with torn cloth and shards of ice melting and rendering the floor slippery. "Mr. Alesso will definitely not be happy with this."
"Who cares about that man's opinion right now?" Jelly retorts, standing up through wobbly legs. It makes the butler turn, eyes softening as he stares and analyzes Jelly's condition, but Jelly does not give a damn about him right now. The pinkette turns to Raven, patting her mission partner's shoulder. "Let's go catch up with her. Let them decide whether to help us or not." She then looks over to where the goth maid had escaped. "I hate these noisy crowds. Let's just go."

The goth escapes to Merlin knows where, and Raven lost sight of her too soon. Raven desperately wants to go after the maid... but she can't, not with Jelly on the ground, strength sapped from the witch as she attempts to cast another cage shadow, all to no avail. Raven helps her get back up to her feet.
Finally, finally, the annoying butler arrives with an impressive crowd. What did he tell them to actually convince them to abandon their posts and go with him, Raven will never know. She has a plan in mind, and she suddenly doubts it as she takes into account the sheer size of the crowd. Can she convince them to believe what she's about to say? Raven can't tell. But she's going to try her damnadest best because they can't afford to fail, not now, they are so close and she can't let this one puny man destroy everything she and Jelly has done.
Deciding from the nervous chatter--they are like bees, which makes Raven's ears bleed--Raven's technique only worked to the extent that this crowd didn't turn into an angry mob. Raven huffs when she sees their doubtful eyes, when she hears their uncertain whispers. She bites her lower lip and furrows her eyebrows. Well, this is not going so well...
Raven looks at Jelly as the pinkette braves the crowd's uncertainty. Raven nods, and is the first to turn away--only to turn back to the crowd once more. Hopefully for the last time because she, too, is getting tired from all this drama. She rolls her eyes heavenwards and gives them a dirty look. "In case you forget, you do have a party to attend to. If I were you, I would immediately go back there and mind my own business. Now, shoo!"
And so Raven is on her way to kick that goth's maid ass and no one would stop her. "Okay, so first, how do we find her? Oh, wait, nevermind." Raven points at the red blood streaks on the floor. It leads to a staircase--it seems that the maid went up. Raven looks at Jelly, concern on her face. "Will you be all right?"

Back in the halls there were too many people, their muttering like a sound of angry locusts out for dinner. It's deafening, like any other crowd there is, and that's why she hates them. She hates crowds, and so she is desperate to get out of there. Even with the energy sapped from her after her second attempt at the cage, she still had enough to stand up and just get out of there. Not only was there any time to linger, there was no time to waste; the goth maid is literally out of their midst.
Unfortunately, with thoughts like these, she almost forgets she has a partner for the mission, and so she turns to Raven after she indicates the blood on the floor. From the wound inflicted through her leg, she muses. The pinkette looks up at Raven and smiles with reassurance to her concern. "I'll be fine. I'm getting my strength back, so there's really no need to worry." She is not entirely sure if this was true, however. Her legs are still wobbly and she's walking like a literal zombie... but still, she would have to get up on her legs and not be a burden. Especially to Raven.
Jelly looks at the staircase and notices the little drops of blood creating a path. Sometimes Jelly wonders if the goth is doing this to lead them to an even bigger challenge, but whatever. "Let's go." She says, taking a step--
"Hey."
From behind, there was a call from a voice she seems to have heard just a while ago... she turns around and, to her surprise, she sees the maids and butlers who've been commanding each other before suddenly behind them with smiles on their faces. Jelly was about to say something, but the bastard butler from earlier interrupts her. "We're here to help. This is a concern for the household, after all, and not just to you both."
...Jelly smiles. She turns to Raven and shrugs. "Well, we need all the help we can get." She playfully nudges the starcaller on the arm. "Looks like you were successful in convincing someone."
They would then ascend the stairs, taking them to the second floor. Jelly hasn't seen the state of the floor before, but she should have noticed from the elevator ride just a few moments back that there was an utter silence. She proceeds with caution, the disciplined maids and butlers emitting quiet footsteps. Well, they were not the most silent, but it does not attract too much noise.
"Huh... it's awfully quiet in here," Jelly whispers to Raven, surveying the walls and the floor. "I wonder if she's still really here, there's no sound and--"
"Has anybody seen the blood trails?"
One of the maids asks all of a sudden, and it makes the other servants look around the floor. That was what Jelly was trying to tell Raven. "...Yup. No blood trails." She scans the floor for a second time and, sure enough, there was not even a speck of blood. "She could have been somewhere, but how could she do that without the blood dripping from her leg, though..."
