"Yeah you certainly do have an eye for fashion. I mean, every time we've met up so far you've had on something that looked amazing." Dalton blurted out in response, with a quick nod of his head flashing her another quick smile. Even for a random mission that they were assigned to her choice of clothing for it left Dalton stunned. Not that it was a bad thing or anything like that, they were just nice clothes that complimented her really well and certainly grabbed his attention anytime she was within eyesight. [break][break]
Which he definitely had no problem with, he did really, really, like her so he already didn't want his attention focused on anyone else aside from her. So nice looking clothes that drew his eye just made that a little bit easier. [break][break]
Even without knowing what she was thinking this was just another moment where the two of them had been thinking of the same thing. Which wasn't too hard to believe since it was Dalton himself that brought up the idea of another date at some point. The idea of going on another date with her at some point made him feel a bit giddy too, but mostly just filled him with optimism. He figured that joining the Helios Knights was the best thing that could happen to him, but it was starting to look like it lead to the real best thing that could of happened to him instead. [break][break]
"Well.." Dalton blurted out before biting his lip for a brief moment, trying to think of how to phrase this next thing right. He probably should of explained what he meant about the I'm sorry you were treated that way thing. From what she said back to it he got the impression that she took it as him saying sorry for what she was born with kind of. [break][break]
"The sorry was more towards the uhh..just the thing you said about feeling like you were treated like a trophy? I don't know why but that stuck out to me, it sounded kinda weird." [break][break]
Smiling back over at her as the waiter came over with their food Dalton would mutter out a quick "Together." Of his own, before moving his hand back to his side of the table so the food could get set down somewhere besides on top of his arm. "It does look kinda good..well lets see how magic tastes." He blurted out with a chuckle as he began to eat his food. [break][break]
Once they both were finished with their food Dalton would stand up from his seat and hold a hand out to Avori to help her out of the seat. Not that she really needed help but hey he did say he was gonna start being a gentleman more often now. After helping her up he'd quickly pay off their bill for the food before once again taking Avori's hand in his and leading her out of the restaurant. There was still one more part of the date that they agreed on though. [break][break]
Stepping back out into the crisp night Dalton would take a quick deep breath, looking around the area yet again. "So, I know we talked about going for a walk..but I saw a couple amusement rides early. Do you wanna stick with the walk or go on some rides?"
“Have I now?” Avori giggled, beaming. “Thanks for the compliment… I could say the same for you,” she finished with a wink, running her hand through her hair again— more of a nervous habit, making sure it was still looking alright, testing whether the curls had waned or if they’d remained during the pair’s time together. [break] She couldn’t help the way her mind was wandering — whether something would come of this or not, how much she wanted it to, wondering if he’d even want something like that; serious, as opposed to fleeting and meaningless. Perhaps she was being slightly pessimistic, thinking he might not even want that much with her aside from spending some time together before leaving their connection at that and never picking it back up from it. She doubted he was the type of person to do that— a fling, she supposed it would be called — but this was, as he admitted, his first date. What if that skewed things? Made him wonder who else he could find? [break] If he could find someone better? [break] Just when did I lose my confidence, she thought, almost defeated, before reminding herself that she didn’t lose it; she was simply trying to be realistic to sway any negative emotions if such a thing were to happen between them. [break] “Oh, I see,” she said with a small nod of her head and a reassuring smile. “Yeah… I mean, I don’t blame you for thinking it sounded weird— it is pretty weird,” she continued, a good-natured laugh pulled from her lips. [break] Her eyes lightened a bit when he repeated her “together” comment, smiling softly, before her hand grew cold once he’d retracted his own to make way for their food. [break] “Hm,” she hummed after she took a bite— to test the quality, of course— before smirking. “I’d say magic tastes pretty good, wouldn’t you say?” she teased before continuing to eat. [break] She had to admit, she didn’t expect him to hold out his hand for her once they were finished, but she definitely enjoyed it— found it charming of him to do so, and took it readily, features bright and happy. She followed his lead out of the restaurant, hands interlocked yet again, taking advantage of the shift in the air once they’d stepped out of The Pink Cauldron, eyes closing momentarily as she revelled in the small breeze before she looked to Dalton again. [break] “Amusement rides sound fun,” she said cheerfully. “I’m up for it— let’s go, I hear there’s a ferris wheel, and you can see quite a bit once you’re at the top… only if you want to go on that one, though, of course. There’s so much to do there, it’ll be fun.” She tugged, lightly, encouragingly, him toward Amagika park, where the rides were, and as they walked, she could feel the warmth from his sweater at her side, and couldn’t say she didn’t like it; it was almost intoxicating to be around him. [break] Oh he’s going to be trouble for me, I can feel it, she mused, a blush crawling up her cheeks again. And I don’t mind it at all.
Winking right back at her Dalton chimed in with a quick little, "Yeeeah I guess, you're still waaaaay better looking then I am...or then anyone else." At least he thought that his little attempt at flirting back was pretty smooth, though he'd just have to wait and see how she reacted. [break][break]
The food did taste pretty good, though there was a tiny part of him that was disappointed that it was made with magic. He always liked cooking in general and admired those that could whip up really good tasting food without using magic to make it better. In a weird way it felt a little bit like cheating to artificially make it taste better. ...Maybe he should just open a restaurant of his own. [break][break]
Pocketing the change that he received from paying their bill for the evening Dalton would lead Avori out of the restaurant, still holding her hand in his own with a smile on his face. There was just something about holding her hand that he liked, it made him feel sort of bigger then he actually was. Like he could do anything that he set his mind out to as long as she was around. He was definitely falling for her pretty hard at this point. [break][break]
Grinning over at her as she agreed to going on some amusement rides Dalton nodded his head quickly, starting to make his way towards where he vaguely remembered the rides were. Well he didn't have too much say in heading to the amusement rides since Avori had already started tugging him in that direction. "Lets get to it then! Ferris Wheel sounds pretty good to me, I actually really like heights so thats perfectly fine with me. I wonder what other kinds of rides they have here?" He blurted out a bit excited at the idea of going on some rides instead of a walk. [break][break]
Avori flushed at his comment — “you’re still waaaaay better looking than I am… or than anyone else” — almost not expecting it. Was he saying it simply to get her to like him more? Or did he mean it? Was she truly, in his eyes, so beautiful? [break] He’s too genuine to lie, she reassured herself; Dalton and lying? Not something she’d currently believe, but she’d only ever been around him twice, no matter how good and comfortable it felt to be in his presence. [break] “You… really think that?” she whispered softly, peering at him shyly with a flattered look. “I mean, I don’t think I’m better looking than you— kind of impossible— but… uhm, wow, thanks.” She swallowed thickly, heart rate picking up slightly before she calmed down a bit, playing with her hands to distract herself enough to do so. [break] “Great! That’s perfect then; we can go on that one first and then explore the rest of the park. I love heights, too— I just… really love the thrill of stuff like this,” she breathed, and the excitement in her voice was beyond obvious. “It gives you such an adrenaline rush… makes you feel like you can do anything.” [break] Casting a look at him, however, she added on: “But right now I don’t think I need a ride to make me feel that way.” [break] Once they’d made it to the park, Avori’s entire demeanor lit up as she looked around— there was a myriad of options, whether it be a regular coaster, spinning rides, the ferris wheel, or the cute little booths where you could win stuffed prizes and the lot; she loved it. “Well,” she huffed, looking pleased. “I think we have a lot of work to do,” she giggled before finally catching sight of the line for the ferris wheel she’d mentioned. [break] “Ooh! The line’s not too long, we should be getting a car soon enough,” she pointed out, leading the pair toward the ride. True to her word, the line was quick — which was only logical, as there were so many cars available despite the fact that one round meant two circles — and they were led onto a car of their own — a two seater, and a comfortable one, luckily — before being sent off. [break] Dalton was pressed much closer to her in the seat, and Avori took a breath, taking his hand again — since they had to let go in order to get on — as they ascended. “I wonder how the stars will look up there,” she murmured, entranced, turning to look at Dalton then with a soft look to her. “I don’t know about you, but I love just… watching the night sky. It’s so beautiful.” [break] She had to admit, however, that being so close to him had her heart racing just then, and a deeper blush was appearing the longer she looked at him, and, despite how corny it was, there were definite butterflies going rampant under her skin.
"Mhmmmm!" Dalton chimed out with a lowish nod of his head. Just as she thought he was too genuine to just lie about random things, he genuinely believed everything that he had said about her looks. "You're like... really cute you know?" As that was said Dalton would start to redden sightly, a hand going up to scratch at the back of his head. It was kind of embarrassing to just blurt something like that out but hey it was toit back now. [break][break]
Though now he was too embarrassed to actually acknowledge the only little compliment that she had slipped in about how it was impossible to look better then he did. [break][break]
Hearing the excitement in her voice that came from talking about going on the rides brought yet another smile to Dalton's face. It was pretty cool that she also loved heights, up until now Dalton hadn't really met too many people who also had a love for heights. Sure there were some but people generally seemed to just not mind them or were afraid of heights. "Lets get to it then! We can go on the ferris wheel first and then just kinda go on whatever's closest next. Could just go on every ride honestly..unless you have a certain time you have to be home?" He didn't really have a 'curfew' of his own so he had all night, but he wasn't sure if Avori did or not. [break][break]
Smirking over at her for a moment after her comment about not needing a ride to feel that way Dalton's little flirty smirk would be replaced with a chuckle. Raising an eyebrow up he'd blurt out a simple "Oh really now?" [break][break]
"Thats not too bad then, was kinda worried the line would be super long.." Dalton mumbled out as the pair entered the line to get on the ferris wheel. He had assumed the line would of been longer then it was just due to it being a weekend night, but hey theres literally no reason to complain about short lines to get on rides after all. Those lines can be a killer on busier days. Following Avori onto the car they were assigned to Dalton would slide into the seat closest to the wall, letting Avori sit closer to the door in case they had to get off in a hurry for some reason. [break][break]
Smiling a big as she took his hand back into hers Dalton would think about it for a moment as their car started moving up the ferris wheel. Only to take his hand away from hers, instead reaching an arm over to wrap around her shoulder, hugging her against him softly as he glanced out at the night sky. "I think they'll look great up here honestly. Hey they miiight even be able to drag my eyes off of you for once." He chimed out with a quick laugh, blushing slightly again due to how close she was now thanks to holding her.
She let out a sweet laugh, blushing again— she didn’t think she’d ever blushed so much in her life than when she was around him. She wanted to kiss him again, deliver on the gentleman promise of course, but Anemoi wasn’t around… [break] Ane! [break] She could feel his vague presence in her mind; he wasn’t in the mortal realm entirely, but just enough to speak to her. [break] Yes? [break] Could you materialize for a moment — quietly and a few feet behind me — so that I can… do something? [break] Anemoi’s suspicious hesitation was clear, though he acquiesced nonetheless, and she felt him enter her world silently, far enough away and behind the pair so Dalton wouldn’t notice the fleeting moment. Stairs will be awkward now, Avori, she heard Ane’s characteristic chirp echo in her mind. [break] I know, I know— just trust me. [break] She’d only tried the technique, to master it, before in the safety of her bedroom, but she believed in herself enough to pull it off again now. Before she herself could do it however, Anemoi silently hovered closer and did it for her— and suddenly, for a moment, hot air swirled beneath her, raising her just enough to kiss Dalton again on the cheek, hand momentarily leaving his and sliding up his arm as she did before she dropped back down with an audible press of her feet against the hard floor. [break] Anemoi disappeared again immediately afterwards, and Avori retook his hand. [break] “Even though I’m the shortest person in the world, I don’t go back on what I say,” she teased, a small giggle leaving her lips. “A gentleman deserves a kiss, and a comment like that isn’t too far off of the scale. Besides, I haven’t kissed you for all the other gentlemanly things you did earlier; it’s only fair I do it now.” [break] “Oh, no, my parents don’t care— they’re pretty lax with what I do now, I’ve kind of proved that I’m responsible enough not to get myself into trouble; I mean, as long as it’s within reason, I’m free to stay out as long as I like, really,” she assured him with a small shrug, eyes roaming the park. [break] When they were on the ride— seated, ascending, ready to see the stars Avori was so excited for— he let go of her hand for a moment. Avori pouted slightly before she felt him instead curl his arm over her shoulder and draw her further into him, an intense blush overtaking her. Now she was at the peak of her heart rate, but she didn’t let it get to her— or at least tried to. [break] She rested her head against his shoulder for a moment before tipping it up, her lips close to ghosting against his cheek, adopting a small, soft smile. “At least now I don’t need to use magic to kiss you,” she murmured. “That’s a plus to these rides, right? Since I’m so short and you’re so tall, Merlin…” [break] She didn’t mean for it to come out the way that it did — even though she wanted him to kiss her, and she meant properly kiss her, but it would only be awkward to backtrack and make it seem like she was saying something else entirely and it could offend him and— [break] I’m overthinking everything.

For a moment Dalton began to say something else, only to stop as he felt her hand leave his. He wasn't really sure what made her let go but he didn't have to wait too long at all to find out what it was that made her let go. As right after that he felt her hand move up his arm before a kiss was planted right on his cheek, causing him to yet again redden ever so slightly. Although it did bring the question up of how she was able to reach that high. [break][break]
Turning his head in an attempt to figure out just how exactly she got up that high the boy didn't really see any way that she could. It didn't seem like the step thing and he definitely didn't see any familiar around to lift her up, not that he knew Anemoi had those capabilities. Raising an eyebrow slightly as she took his hand into her own again Dalton let out a chuckle before speaking up. "Well the gentleman thanks you.." With that he gave her a little joking bow before continuing. "Buuut, how'd you get up there? Did you jump or something?" [break][break]
Perhaps he'd get an answer, or it may very well just be one of life's greatest mysteries. [break][break]
"Guess we just get to go on all the rides then! Thats pretty neat though, that you get to stay out however long you want as long as its reasonable. They must trust you a lot if they let you do that. They sound pretty nice." Dalton sort of rambled out with a nod of his head. Mentally making himself a promise to get her home at a decent time tonight. [break][break]
After all what kind of first impression would it be on her parents to be that kid who brought their daughter home super late in the night. [break][break]
The trip up the ferris wheel was nice in its own right, even if Avori hadn't of been there next to him and he was instead by himself; Dalton probably would of enjoyed it. Although he wouldn't of gotten nearly as much enjoyment out of it in any other scenario. However at the latest thing that his date said Dalton found himself smirking a bit, an idea popping into his head for just a moment. "Yeah thats a good point, don't really need any kind of fancy magic to do this.." [break][break]
And with that said the boy leaned over in his seat slightly and returned the favor for all of his rewards for being a gentleman, giving her a soft kiss on the lips.
She smirked to herself when she saw that his cheeks had reddened once she’d kissed him again; the smirk only grew stronger, however, at his look of confusion on how she managed to do it this go around. She laughed a bit at his bow, a look of endearment plastered onto her face, hand coming up to press against her lips as she did so. “How polite of him,” she murmured, smirk turning to a mischievous smile. However, her brows rose a bit and her smile broadened when he asked how she managed it. [break] “Well,” she began, another giggle escaping her. “Aside from the stairs, I can do this thing— well, Anemoi and I can, considering we can both use familiar magic,” she corrected before continuing. “Where I can kind of make myself hover? I mean, I can also glide and like, cushion falls, and use it on anyone, really, but that’s what I did, I kind of made Ane materialize for a split second to do it, and he just did it for me before I could, but either way, that’s what happened. Stairs would’ve just been weird this time.” She finished with a wink and a playful nudge to his side, laughing again. [break] “Oh, definitely— it’ll be fun! Especially with the present company,” she agreed with a grin and a wink his way. “Yeah, my folks are kind of chill with me; probably because I’m the only kid they have and they want me to ‘live my life to the fullest’ or something like that but hey, it makes for some really fun times. Like now— tonight, with you.” [break] She had to admit she was super excited to get to the top— it seemed the night sky was nearing its peak by the time they’d made it onto the ferris wheel, and she was beyond grateful for it. Stargazing was her favorite thing to do; in fact, sometimes she’d come to Amagika on her own — to the park with the trees and all that, not where they currently were — and just lay down on the grass looking up at the sky. Taking a look toward Dalton, she couldn’t help but wonder if he’d join her one day… and how much she’d like him to. [break] She had decided in that moment, however, that she liked how he held her— it was so comforting and made her feel warm in the best way possible. She was happy, safe, and it did nothing to soothe how addicting his presence was once he’d pulled her in. [break] She was about to respond to him before she was caught off guard; he was kissing her— properly kissing her, and her heart rate shot through the roof, her cheeks flushing but not from embarrassment — from how happy it made her, really. It took her a moment to kiss him back, but when she did her hand instinctively went to cup his cheek before curling into his hair. [break] She really didn’t want to pull away, but eventually they did, and her lips were still softly teasing his own. She went in for another cheeky, quick press of her lips against his, smiling into it before pulling away again, hand sliding down to rest at his chest before she moved it to slot into the hand thrown over her shoulder, pressing herself into his side a bit more and tucked her head against his neck again. [break] “That was… really nice,” she murmured, swallowing thickly, heart still beating rapidly against her chest. “No, more than nice— it was, I— yeah. Wow.”
Initially Dalton blinked in confusion to her explanation as to how she managed to give him a kiss on the cheek. For a couple quick seconds he had completely forgotten that she was capable of doing air magic. Which made something like getting up slightly higher seem pretty darn easy in retrospect. "Huh really? Thats kinda neat, I can't really do anything too cool like that with my ice stuff...well at least I can't yet. Lets see uhh I can make big ice spikes come out of the ground thats kinda neat, OH! And I can cool the air around me." He rambled out a bit in excitement, the topic of what the two of them could do with their magic once again putting a little extra spark into him. [break][break]
After a few more moments of thinking Dalton would snap his fingers, remembering something else he had wanted to tell her. "Oh right! I've been working on my alchemy a bit more, aaaaaaaand I learned how to make a new concoction! Its a bit dangerous though so I don't really have any of it on me. Basically it's this liquid that can melt pretty much anything, gotta keep it in a special vial and everything." [break][break]
He was pretty proud at having learned something new already and was a little bit surprised that telling her about it had slipped his mind. Though until now his attention had been focused entirely on Avori so letting something like a new alchemy concoction slip his mind at least made a little bit of sense. [break][break]
"I could say the same thing about you then, sure the rides can be fun alone but I think it'll be even better since you're here." He muttered out with yet another smile on his face, the happiness he had been feeling quite clear at this point if it hadn't been before. "I'm glad you're having fun with me though, still kinda surprised you even agreed to go out with me. I'll make sure you get home at a decent time though, don't want my first impression with your parents to be bringing you home super late at night.." [break][break]
Dalton had picked the time to give her a kiss pretty darn well. The moment that the first one was broken off their cart had stopped directly at the top of the ferris wheel as they unloaded one of the cars. Which in turn just made the second quick kiss after that the two shared even more romantic, well at least in Dalton's eyes it was. Smiling softly through the last kiss Dalton would sort of wiggle around a bit as she tucker her head against his neck, snuggling a little bit closer to her as she held his hand. [break][break]
"Y-yeah, that was really nice.." He whispered out as he looked over at her, a smile still on his face. In all honesty he was still kind of shocked that he was bold enough to go through with that, and even more shocked that she not only was okay with it but even gave him a kiss back. "Totally would be okay with that being the new prize for being a gentleman.."
“Hey, ice sounds interesting! Spikes… edgy,” she giggled, though she meant every word. “Can you imagine trying to fight someone or something and then all of a sudden there’s just these sharp spikes of ice in front of you? I don’t know about you, but that sounds pretty cool. And I bet the air thing comes in handy— besides, being able to kind of control the temperature is really… well, impressive.” Controlling the weather around you? Of course that was impressive; all she could do was use what they breathed, but she supposed her own element was intriguing in its own way. [break] Her eyes lit up at his next words, turning her head and beaming at him. “Ah! I knew you were good; I’m so happy for you!” She squeezed his hand a bit — lightly — as a show of support and genuine joy that he’d advanced in his skills. “Oh, Merlin… that’s wonderful… liquid fire, that’s got to be beyond impressive,” she breathed, her interest evidently caught and unwavering. [break] She blushed as he returned her compliment, only to suddenly look at him with an almost unreadable look, lips parted and her eyes studying him, though they were still soft. “I don’t see why I would’ve said no,” she murmured, an endeared smile pushing through. “I like you, Dalton, and I knew that the first time we met.” She tilted her head a bit as she regarded him, before her smile grew slightly. “Just something about you…” She shrugged, not finishing the thought, as though she’d prefer not to get into it. [break] “I’m sure everything will be fine,” she laughed. “I mean, you’re already such a gentleman, I doubt you’d be so scandalous,” she continued with a playful — though almost challenging — look thrown his way. [break] Honestly, Avori was convinced she could, for lack of a better word cuddle, with him for however long; it was so easy and so calming, like she was safe. From what, she didn’t know, but she did know that it was different than whoever else she’d ever “cuddled.” [break] She’d rather consider Dalton to be the first. [break] She hummed at his words, turning her head to press a small kiss against his neck before returning to her previous position. “I think we can arrange that— but you’ll have to help me out, I’m like two inches tall and the whole air thing can’t be used all the time,” she murmured, and although the last bit was playful, she was overall soft, genuine; relaxed. She did tilt her head up, however, when she realized they’d stopped at the top, lips parting and eyes bright with amazement as she looked at the stars. [break] “Wow,” she breathed, taking the sight in. “They’re breathtaking— get more and more beautiful every time I look at them. The night sky… is amazing.” [break] She glanced at him from the corner of her eye for a moment before speaking, gaze returning to the stars. “Sometimes I like to just go to the park— the actual park part of Amagika rather than this— and lay there staring at the sky. Maybe I’m just weird, but I can’t get enough of them.”
Letting out a little chuckle at her pun Dalton would shake his head at her, pretending to not approve of something like that. Even though despite this just being their second time together she should of well known by now that he loved puns. "Yeah I think its pretty sharp! I think its just another one of those things like where I thought my alchemy stuff wasn't cool, just because im so used to it by now." He said with a quick nod of his head, flashing her a quick smile just so she'd know he wasn't actually down on himself over ice. [break][break]
"It is pretty cool though...no pun intended, i mean its there but I didn't mean for it to be...oops?" He chimed out with a quick chuckle before continuing on. "The spikes are my favorite thing so far, I can like try to hit someone with em if I need to or I can just like block myself off from things so I can't get his, its neat." It was clear that he was still pretty happy to be talking about magic stuff. [break][break]
Beaming over at her the boy yet again nodded his head, feeling a completely reasonable sense of pride in learning some new alchemy stuff. "Mhmmm, I think its impressive at least. Although the names kinda bland, its literally just called a Vile Concoction, but hey I can at least make it from memory now. Don't need a recipe or nothin!" [break][break]
Her answer about liking him ever since she first met him caught him completely off guard. Deep down there was a part of him that still thought it was just a fluke or a prank or something like that. Although her latest answer pretty much completely erased that thought from even the deepest part of his mind, he genuinely believed everything that she just told him. "W-wait really?" He muttered out, still a bit stunned. "I guess I'm just kinda surprised that you actually like me.." [break][break]
"Hmmm.." The boy mumbled out with an eyebrow arched on his face, primarily at the almost challenging look that she sent his way. Smirking back over at her Dalton shrug his shoulders quickly. "Weeeeeeell, maybe we'll see how much we can get away with then~" He was definitely having the time of his life tonight and didn't really want it to come to an end any time soon. [break][break]
Cuddling together on the ferris wheel seat felt...well it felt right, and also kinda nice of course, Dalton probably wasn't gonna let go of her until their car came to its final stop at the bottom. However the little kiss she gave him on the neck did make the boy jump a bit in surprise, before reddening once again. "That doesn't sound weird at all honestly, it sounds kinda nice. Actually..I think you just gave me an idea for our second date already? A little picnic in the park then we can watch the stars."
“Sharp, eh?” she teased with a snicker. “Yeah, guess everyone’s like that; you get used to it, so your own abilities are just so… lacklustre in comparison.” She said so sensibly, calm and plain, as she walked with him. “Pfff,” she huffed, letting out a short laugh. “I think we’ve crossed the point of no return with the puns at this point, Dalton; it’s just irresistible. But yeah, spikes are awesome— magic is so interesting, there’s so much you can do with it.” [break] Avori was happy to hear that he thought his own work was impressive — loved it, really; he deserved to feel good about his accomplishments, and she felt a bit lighter at the thought that he was pleased with himself. “Ooh, pro,” she cooed, lightly squeezing his hand again. “Quick learner, you are… but hey! You can give it your own name, a cool potion needs a good name for a great guy, anyway,” she continued, shrugging casually, though she’d casually slipped the compliment in— a cheeky little move on her part. [break] Part of her wondered why she’d admitted that he’d caught her interest so quickly, before she remembered that it didn’t really matter in the grand scheme of things— they were on a date for Merlin’s sake, she figured it was obvious enough that she liked him… right? [break] “Mhm, yes, really,” she said plainly, though a sweet smile ghosted her lips. She didn’t expect him to necessarily be surprised that she did— though she supposed it was in a way flattering, but nonetheless the feeling was fleeting before her cheeks flushed a bit at his next words. [break] “I’m sure we can get away with more than you think,” Avori laughed, though her cheeks still held the barest hint of a pink tint. “Rowdy teenagers as the old ones would say— or, something like that.” [break] Her heart skipped a beat when he mentioned a second date, and she couldn’t help the sudden heat welling up to her face. He wants a second date oh Merlin this boy will kill me one day… [break] “That sounds perfect,” she whispered, a pleased, though almost shy, smile curving her lips, running her thumb along the hand of his she’d been holding almost instinctively. “I already can’t wait. Stargazing… it’ll be nice, especially with you there.” [break] “But enough about me— what do you like to do, in your spare time and all that?” Avori tilted her head again to be able to see him clearly, a curious look overtaking her face.

Sending a quick grin over in Avori's direction Dalton would shrug his shoulders slightly. "Weeeell what can I say, puns are just irresistible at this point. I just can't help but take a...stab at it, you know?" He blurted out with another chuckle, shaking his head at his own little dumb pun before seemingly perking up a bit. "Wait wait wait, I got a better one. My wits too...sharp...I gotta keep making them." Still grinning over at her Dalton would quietly wait for her response, he was actually really having fun with all these non stop puns. [break][break]
"Weeell.." He muttered out as a hand reached up to scratch at the back of his head, trying to think about whether or not he should give the potion he figured out how to make a name or not. "I mean, its not like I invented it or anything, just kinda stumbled on the right stuff to slap together to create it. I don't really wanna try to name it since someone else made it before me, Id rather create my own brand new things to slap names one." Dalton rambled out with a quick nod of his head, a smile still on his face. The smile was mainly to help reassure her that he wasn't being a downer about his magical abilities yet again, which he really wasn't, he just didn't feel like he could give this thing a name since he didn't really invent it. [break][break]
As she confirmed that she really did like him since they first met Dalton's own face would also start to blush, though it was a lot redder then it probably should of been. "Thats..thats good to know. You practically knocked me socks off as soon as we met, I hoped that you might of liked me back but I didn't think it would actually happen, or that we'd end up on a date." Finishing that up with a quick chuckle Dalton would look back over at Avori yet again. "Guess I just got pretty lucky then huh? Or this is all just a dream, might need pinched so I can tell if it is or not.." [break][break]
Scooting a bit closer to her, not that there was really much more distance to close on the seat they shared on the Ferris wheel at this point, Dalton would run a hand through her hair, just sort of idly playing with it for now. "Lets see how much we can get away with then? It might be fun.." He blurted out with a little mischievous smirk on his face. "Only makes sense for rowdy teenagers to stay out later then they should." After that the mischievous smirk would fade, being replaced with just a nice genuine smile. [break][break]
"It does sound perfect, never really stargazed before but it sounds nice, well anything sounds nice if you're there..." Pausing for a brief moment to try to think of how to answer the last question Dalton would shrug a shoulder slightly. "Well, honestly most of my times just spent helping out around my families shop, or trying to work on what I can do with my magic." [break][break]
