this is Salem, a land filled with magic and maladies. It is a place where witches and their elemental familiars gather, a home to legend and
lore that predates time itself. Yet of all the wicked and wonderful stories the past can tell us of, the most magical are the ones yet to happen.
This is Salem - this is the start of your very own journey. Welcome to starfall
Starfall is an animaga witch roleplay set in mostly modern times. Members play as witches in a world plagued by monsters, where the only safe spots are walled cities. Starfall strives to be a character-driven roleplay with expansive lore and a highly interactive plotline. We want to allow members to
create and look back on a magical journey, and mold the site and its plot as their characters grow.

Corvus tried not to glare at Siobhan’s slow cap, which felt incredibly sarcastic. Not everyone could kill a wolf with their bare hands. It wasn’t like he was an augmentor anyway. Still, the threat was gone, and he was…soaked. This. Would definitely chafe. Maybe he had some baby powder stowed away. This had to be a common cowboy problem, right? As he thought, ass underwater he said back to Siobhan, “I think I’m coming out squeaky clean.” Corvus shivered as the adrenaline wore off. The water no longer cooling, but chilly to the touch. He stood up and untied the flannel draping down his waist before beginning to squeeze the water out of it. He tossed it onto the grassy bank before trying to wring out as much water from his tank top and jeans as possible.
After a few minutes he took off his boots and walked barefoot back to Pablo who had settled down again eager to get, yet, another snack. Or well, enough of the snack to have an actual meal. Corvus found somewhere where the sun was hitting to set his boots and shirt before settling down with his chaperone and pulling out their meals. A small assortment of red, yellow, and green apples for Pablo and half an Italian sub for Corvus. No soda, but after the fight he’d had it would probably only make him feel worse. Naw, he’d be fine washing all that meat down with water.
With the longest stretch of the mission pretty much over, Corvus quietly dozed off into a mild food coma after lunch. He didn’t notice until Pablo snorted loudly in his ear. The witch flinched, sitting up straight but managed not to let out a startled scream. “HMMM. Thanks. Pablo.” He said through clenched teeth before standing up and stretching his arms above his head. He let out a small yawn before going over to grab his things, so he could get dressed. The flock seemed about ready to leave. All of them were standing now, baaing placidly to one another. The horses seemed energetic too. As he pulled on his boots, which were cold, and retied the flannel around his waist he called out to his cousin. “The last bit is through the forest, again right? But like, a different way than the one we came in?” Hopefully the wolves would buzz off now that they had killed three of them and a fox already. He’d had time to rest up a little bit but he couldn’t say with confidence he was fully charged.

Now it's time to say goodbye To the things we loved and the innocence of youth.

Squeaky clean. Well that was probably true given how wet the older boy was. She'd come out fairly unscathed minus some blood on her clothes and the tear from the wolf claws on her new shirt. It would probably have to be replaced since she couldn't really sew that part to fix it. Well to be fair she couldn't sew at all but that wasn't the point now was it. Even if she could the thing was probably not repairable to the same look it was before.
She ate her small snack and fed the horse. It was only a few minutes before they should move on. They didn't have much time left to be fair but she could see the sun starting to set. The sky was starting to turn orange and red with the sun making its final descent down the horizon. It wouldn't take them long to get back as the journey was essentially a giant circle. They just needed to go through the other side of the forest and a little ways down the fields to get back. Maybe twenty minutes or so? They didn't have to hurry per say but it was better than trying to heard sheep in the dark. Especially since that was when wolves were much more active. Night.
"Yes. Think of this like a big circle. We are just cutting through a small part of the woods to get to the fields from earlier and we'll be just about there. Maybe twenty minutes tops? It's not far at all." They were just about done with this mission. Nothing else would come anytime soon. The wolves had been killed and it wasn't likely any others were currently active right now. More than likely those were daylight scouts while the rest of the pack slept preparing for nightfall. As long as they left soon they'd be fine.
"The sun's starting to set. We should go before the night predators start waking up." The hummed as she spoke, packing up the belongings that were around her. She hopped upon her horse and started shooing the sheep towards the small path leading into the thinest part of the forest. It wasn't dense woods so it would be very easy to keep an eye on the herd. That was probably why the farmer had them go this way. They would be back in no time. Literally. This mission was all but complete.

Corvus hopped onto his horse after double checking he hadn’t left anything behind and letting out a shiver. His clothes were still cold, given they hadn’t had very long to dry. He didn’t have to let Pablo know to move as the old horse waited a few moments for him to settle before trotting quickly after the flock. The horse snorted at the sheep for their attention before pulling forward in front of the flock to finish the “I didn’t realize we were that close.” He said with a shrug. Good thing Siobhan remembered the way as did the horses. The map he’d been given had been in his pocket when he’s ended up in the creek. It was probably wet much right now. He didn’t want to try pulling it out and seeing if he could salvage it.
Aware of the setting sun, Pablo picked up the pace for the flock. He no longer used the easy going walk but was a bit more focused and quick about his steps. Corvus simply held on, occasionally glancing at the wood again for predators. He didn’t see anything as the flock made its way back. He looked over at his cousin briefly. Maybe the stink of wolf’s blood lingered on her and that’s why they weren’t approaching anymore. No foxes, no wolves ( thank the gods ). The congregation was pretty quiet, probably too focused on Pablo’s pace to get really chatty with one another. They didn’t really start getting loud until the edge of the woods approached and the sight of the familiar grazing fields opened up. The horse followed a well-worn path where the ranch they’d come out of grew bigger in the distance.
His horse broke into a jog, pulling up farther from the flock to deposit his rider at the gate. He didn’t see the rancher immediately, but with incoming loud flock of sheep, the guy was sure to show up soon enough. Corvus dropped to the ground and opened the gate right as the sheep all trotted up, ready to get comfortable in their own home. Pablo entered, heading towards his own sleeping place. Corvus waited for Siobhan before closing up the gate and locking it for the night. “I’ll go let the rancher know we’re done.” He yelled before going off to find the old man.
