Emotions had been running high since the victory of the paint war. Aiden had watched the fireworks go off with his team color while drinking a juice box on the curve he’d managed to fish out of his bag. OF course, out of habit, he’d rushed around to track down Charani, eager to tell him of how it went. The topic of the next day’s event came up and the redhead had been quick to ask Charani to meet up. This time without work or meetings to interrupt them. He’d blurted it out, and even stumbled over his choice of words out of breath from the excitement but to his surprise Charani agreed. With that, he’d gone home, tired, sweaty, but satisfied. That is, until Marjorie had taken one look at him and judged, “Ah…you seem to have energy to spare today.” Needless to say, she dug into him. Back to drills, back to burning his mana to the very end. She made it clear, if he was so eager to play with something so powerful, she would make sure he got every last bit of fun out of it. [break][break]
He blacked out and awoke to his bed, groggy before sitting up wit ha start. Still early morning, miraculously. Aiden scrambled for his bag, making a mess out of one corner of the spacious room and trying to get ready. It was early, but he was about to cut it real close. [break][break]
The redhead waited, hands in the pockets of his letterman to keep himself from fidgeting. He’d dressed lightly to account for the amount of people that would be around. He tried to look clean, and by clean he meant scooping up old but conformable chucks and scrubbing the soles clean before forcing them to dry. He’d opted for his own clothes for once, leaving behind the Emerson closet for today. A well-worm navy shirt and ripped jeans were like comfort food to him. He slipped back into them with ease, and it was a nice welcome back. He’d been afraid after so long it’d feel weird, wrong even. Maybe it was that rebellious streak still holding on while it could from the Paint War. Then again, all his favorite clothes were already spun with strong silk and mana to protect them, of course they fit perfectly. [break][break]
McKenna is excited, inspired even. Or maybe she’s just teasing her witch as she strutted around in a miniature leather jacket, the belts hanging loose around her mid half, and the worn silver buckle glinting in the fading sunlight. “We should’ve matched.” She said teasing the poor boy who felt a sliver of regret. Then again, this one was softer and warmer. “I wear black suits all the time though.” He returned with ease as she circled him a couple of times before taking her spot near his side to wait.

Of course he would say yes to the red headed boy asking him to go somewhere. He should probably work on that... it was definitely not healthy and a product of that pesky lovey dovey feeling he still gets despite his mind telling him no. Butterflies just want to flutter and vanish into the morning sunlight like mist.
Charani was not the first person there for once. He was usually very prompt but to be honest he had overslept after training more at the hospital. He liked it. He liked it much more than fighting... than struggling. He had spent the time not flying into the shower picking out something to wear. Nothing to fancy but since it was fall it had to be weather appropriate. Dark red leggings that curved into warm looking boots and a pale cream colored sweater that was to big for him hanging halfway down his thighs. His roots were starting to show as well the messy auburn visible at the end of the blonde.
He had a small bag with him that looked like a backpack someone had shrunk down for a dog in which he carried his wallet and some other essentials. He was also wearing a white beanie with a small red pomball on it (reusable item: clothes for contact healing beanie). He approached the young man from behind... though was probably easily heard coming since his boots clicked a bit while he walked,
"You ready for the big game?” He hummed as he spotted the two and got close enough to them. His friend was dressed in ripped jeans and a jacket that made him look like a quidditch player ready for game day. Well the pregame part before his actual game started later. You get me.
“It looks cute though. So I approve.” He really did mean that. Aiden had that boy next door jock vibe going right now and it worked well. “Though I’m afraid McKennas got you beat on the cool factor.” He chuckled a bit at his statement, the familiar looked to be emulating the bad boy type that Aiden sometimes wore when especially pissed by his more... stuck up side of the family.

Mckenna seemed to perk up and Aiden turned to greet his friend with a happy smile. “Huh- oh!” he looked down at his jacket before chuckling, and nodding. He wished he had time for quidditch. “Thanks! My friends at school got it for me. Kind of big but they said, ‘oh you’ll grow into it. Probably’.” He rolled his eyes at the memory of it all. At least it was cozy so he couldn’t really complain about wearing something that loose fitting on him. Maybe he’d just been spoiled by Emerson custom tailoring. McKenna took a moment to pose in all her leathery glory. Usually she liked ribbons or something cozier. But leather felt…stronger. Fiercer. She understood why sometimes Aiden threw it on when he stormed out of his house or through back alleys in the hovel. [break][break]
He pointed at Charani’s hat, recognizing the stitching. “Y’look cozy. How’s the fit on it?” He’d made it by more or less using his own head as a reference. He’d been too scared to find Charani while making it. Still, he was a little happy, relieved even, that his friend had held onto it. “We’ve got some time before the big concert…was there anything you wanted to do?” he asked before he dragged Charani off. He didn’t usually come to Mirrorlight. It was a bit out of the way, and he usually excused himself from trips here by citing school or coven duties to Marjorie. But he was here now, and he heard Mirrorlight had a lot to offer, particularly in glitzy restaurants and stylish cafes. He’d seen a bit on a bird café mainly, but he’d also looked into any particularly good street food vendors near the concert. [break][break]
The gazelle nudged him as he got a little off track in his head again and he looked back at Charani. Right, they were catching up. “How’s- How’s your hospital work? You said you were trying to get better at healing magic.” he asked as he remembered one of their past, longer conversations. They still had so much to talk about.
[break][break]

The hat fit fairly well on the young man... thanks to their similar body shape though it appeared to be just a smidge loose on the blonde. A little bit bigger head on Aiden perhaps or just a trick of the light? Who knowst.
“I’m sure you’ll grow eventually. But if not you’re taller than me at least so that’s something.” Not by much but like... it was better than nothing right? Not everyone could be a lumbering giant maddox rothscus ✨ god. Tall people am I right?
The hat hat was warm and did it’s job well. It wasn’t the cutest thing he owned by far but it held a sentimental place in the fall and winter Roster. “It fits good. Thank you.”
Was there anything he wanted to do? Not really, to be totally honest he was just here to spend time with Aiden. What they did hardly mattered to him. Except golf. Fuck golf. He would verbalize as much. “Not anything in particular, I haven’t spent much time in this city though.” He rarely left Sundial these days to be honest. He has of course been here a few times but not during Saturnailia that he can recall.
"Oh. It is going fine. I’m learning more than I thought.” He really did mean that. It wasn’t just basic first aid and Magic... it was other things he was surprised to learn. Water magic for instance... which also did help with his healing training... not that he was very good at it yet. “Maybe we can walk around and do some exploring... then grab a snack before the concert.” .

“Maybe. I think it’s got more to do with bulking up than growing taller…but a couple more inches would be nice.” Like Lady Claire who Towered over people. Ah- maybe he would put that back in the box. He hadn’t spoken to her yet about the Paint War thing. Hopefully she wasn’t mad. He had bothered her a lot that day. “Won’t you grow too? I thought that was why you had that giraffe onesie.” The redhead teased. [break][break]
“If you ever need it mended, let me know. I’ll make time.” He offered. While he was around, he could always check on the mana flow in his dreamcatchers and whatnot. He still felt jittery when he thought about it, especially for Charani whose dreams did so much more than anyone else. Were seers more vulnerable to her magic? He didn’t want to find out. He pushed away the negative thoughts, eyes going back to the stark white hat as he appraised his work again. For the most part, he thought it looked better on Charani than it did on him. Then again, that was his reaction to most items of clothing. He stayed far from things, but he didn’t have a doubt in his mind if the blonde tried it, it would look pretty nice. He had come to think of it as a rich kid thing, but after a while it’d become more of a Charani thing. He just looked nice a lot of the time. Again, he was relieved his friend got use out of it. [break][break]
“Oh, well I looked up a few things since I’ve never been either. You can pick.” Aiden replied. “Got any idea what you’re doing after you finish interning? For healing I mean.” He added as he nodded over towards the center of the city and began walking. It would get livelier the closer they got to the actual concert. “I read about this arts and crafts fair near the actual concert, but I think it’s a majority merch sales for people up on the stage.” A souvenir was a souvenir though. “I wouldn’t mind getting a ‘I SURVIVED SHATTERGLASS XXXX’ shirt.” He’d probably only wear it to work out, but it was a nice enough memory. That’s why he’d invited Charani anyway. Hang out and make some memories.

“Don’t make me sick the hounds on you.” The young man hummed closing his eyes with a squint and sticking his tongue out. Release the hounds Smithers. The bad part is his family probably does have guard dogs.
We love a model that makes even a hat look good. It was very sweet of him to offer free repairs of the hat regardless of the unspoken idea between them. That this meant they would always remain in contact... never again torn apart. It was nice. “I’m not worried but thank you Aiden.”
What was he going to do when he was done interning? That was a good question. What should he do. With his families money he could do anything he wanted really. ”Hmm... afterwords I’m not sure. Maybe I’ll transfer to the medical core of the Knights. Or maybe keep to hospital work and retire from fighting. I don’t know yet.” He was a pretty powerful witch in his own right. Maybe not as strong as Lady Claire is but not very far off. Maybe he’d open a small apothecary or clinic. He didn’t really have the stomach for fighting like the others... let alone the ability to kill if need be.
"Let’s go there then. We are bound to find something interesting in the scores of merchants.” There could be plenty of objects worth buying. If nothing else it would be a fun way to kill time.
The young man man adjusted his small backpack and started walking in a random direction. It had to be where the flow of people were going right? That made the most sense. After all the concert hadn’t started yet so people were perusing and eating.
“Hop to it ladies, let’s go onward!” He shouted pointing forward stopping for a second or two so the two knew to take his lead... not that he knew where he was going. “What about you guys... you had some kind of part time job now didn’t you?”

Aiden frozen for a minute, the thought of Charani’s familiar coming out to harass him truly frightening. Especially after everything that had happened. He was sure the little dog hated him now. Pure, unadulterated hatred. At least it was well deserved this time. Still, he managed to nod at his Friend. His Friend that he thought always looked really cute and nice, with no other context at all. What dream? No dream. He’d already forgotten. “No worries. I- uh- I like mending things.” He said, unprompted. Then again, he had run out of things to fix around his room and weaving was one of the more therapeutic things he did. [break][break]
“Ahh I see.” He felt a pinprick of worry for his friend. He remembered how tired to poor guy had been after fighting duneworms. They hadn’t spoken much about that, and whatever he’d gotten out of the witch had been short and vague. “I guess I’ll be seeing you after missions rather before huh?” he mused. A shame really. He’d wanted to go out on a tough one with Charani. After all, the boy’s skill in purifying was greater than his own. He would’ve liked to see him fight more. The Empyreal Cup had only been a small show after all. Still, if Charani didn’t want to do that he wouldn’t beg him too whatever his reasons for it were. [break][break]
McKenna followed the minute Charani began moving off, falling in step to his side while Aiden jogged over to catch up and flank the other not wanting to make him wait. “McKenna gets to lounge around and look cool a lot.” He said as the gazelle let out a small snort and paused to give the crowd, if any at all, another pose. “I’m still the Lin heir’s personal assistant. It’s…boring, but he’s good people.” The redhead explained as his eyes glazed over at the thought of another boring meeting. Still…it was good for his business training and if he didn’t know how long he was going to play heir to the Emerson’s then he needed to put effort into it. He wondered if Marjorie and Wilhelm would let him leave or if he’d have to do something drastic like fake his own death. Then again, maybe they just hoped his own father killed him so they wouldn’t have to deal with the mess. “Though, everything’s slowed down since I was technically in ‘recovery’.” He added offhandedly. His side stung with imaginary pain. It had healed up alright. No infection, or lingering need for stiches but sometimes it itched. Sometimes it throbbed. He hoped it would stop feeling like anything once the scar finally showed itself.
[break][break]
[attr="class","a1notes"] Charani Petrov no homo in the club-o
“Maybe. But also don’t or I’ll have to rough you up for getting injured.” The young man laughed a bit at the thought. He would probably shake the redhead fairly violently but that was about it. Maybe the silent treatment or a cold glare. Nothing that would physically hurt his friend. Maybe just have his familiar watch him from the shadows like a horror monster.
Shading your loyal antlered companion. How rude. Kind of funny though. Aidens lucky he’s cute. “So McKennas taking your usual spot in missions? Huh.” The young witch snickered a little at this as the redhead caught up with his familiar and friend. Ha! Goteem!
It’s good that it’s boring. He hoped it stayed that way. Interesting meant danger and he didn’t like that... not that he could stop someone as willful as Aiden from running into danger. ”Hmm... good good. You haven’t been overdoing it right.” It wasn’t even stated as a question more like a knowing command. Like a parent asking if the dishes were done when they got home. If they weren’t you best know they were about to be. The streets were slowly becoming more and more crowded as they walked. This would probably be a theme as they stayed around the concert grounds. There were all kinds out, some shady, some kids, some elderly. It was nice. Though it could be warmer. His hands were cold as were his ears even with the hat.
“So hows school? Make any new friends, classes, have a girlfriend? You know the usual questions your grandma would ask. That I have no knowledge of being asked to ask you these questions nor will they be recorded for quality assurance purposes.” He was joking obviously. Not that his grandmother wouldn’t be above asking Charani to pump her grandson for information. Not as bad as... the other ones though that if Charani wasn’t already rich they probably would have tried to bribe him for it. Thank god for rich friends right Aiden? Privacy who is she? Not in this mansion.

The memory of Charani yanking on his ear in the hospital came back and he grimaced a little. IF he got injured it wasn’t just Charani waiting to berate him for his idiocy, it would be his grandparents as well. “Of course not, but I figured you’d want to see me to see how healthy I am.” Just a checkup, maybe some scrapes. A broken bone or two at most. Frankly, you couldn’t do worse than almost blacking out form a stab wound right. Scratch that, you couldn’t do worse than almost dying right? Right. [break][break]
McKenna let out a high-pitched laugh, something strikingly similar to a light breeze moving wind chimes. Aiden, however, was less amused. “I do work! You’ve yet to see me on a mission.” The redhead protested. Though now more than likely, he wouldn’t ever if Charani was really making the switch to stay more medical prep than anything. As they begin to find the river of people Aiden stuck close and lied through his teeth. “No, of course not. Recovery remember?” He doesn’t mention the purification fatigue Marjorie was putting him through or the knife fights Wilhelm was forcing him to have in their basement. The minute his side had been cleared, and his stiches gone he’d doubled up on training since classes were on break. [break][break]
Despite hating crowds and waiting in lines, Aiden can’t help but feel relief. This scenario felt familiar, and even if the circumstance were different there were similarities that drove in deeper that thorn of paranoia. All they needed was a bit of snow and he’d be right back in that dream, except in reality he was on much worse terms with his friend and there were no wraiths to speak of in the city. A shiver ran down his spine as he pushed away the thought. “School’s fi-” he attempted to reply before the seer rattled off more questions than he could keep track of. “It’s fine, thanks for asking.” He stated, frowning now used to these kinds of interrogations. It didn’t make answering them any less embarrassing, especially when the one doing the interrogating was his best friend ( Ex best friend? Friendly love interest? ). [break][break]
“My classes are fun. I’m too busy for a girlfriend.” He added, staring forward refusing to make eye contact. He’d had some wet dreams and that was more than enough stress in his life. However, that was not information he felt comfortable admitting to his grandmother, much less again of will for his grandmother Charani. Especially not when the seer himself had been in them. Then again, even if it had been accidentally, his friend had shown him a dream like that. He owed him. He scrunched up his face ignoring the rising blush, having planned to let this die with him. “Been having weird dreams about it though. Talked with Auntie Harlow about it and she called it progress. Didn’t appreciate me complaining about losing even more sleep.” He’d never shown interest in anything other than eating or fighting. It had been a strangely momentous occasion with his aunt. Then again, she was a little strange when it came to relationships, if you could them that. He’d mainly wanted to know if there was a way to stop it since he usually woke up more stressed and exhausted than when he’d fallen asleep.

“Uh huh sure.” The brunette could think of plenty of other places he’d rather see Aiden than in a clinic with some bumps and bruises. Like pretty much anywhere else. Like literally 90% of other places.
“We haven’t been on a mission together? Hmm... I guess now that I think about it you’re right we haven’t.” The young witch tilted his head up as he went through the Rolodex in his head of missions. Had they really never been in a mission together? Though to be honest given how he pretty much only took missions with his previous boyfriend didn’t help.
”Recovering yes but I also know you like to push yourself a little to far when I’m not watching.” He stuck his tongue out at the red head. At least it didn’t seem like Aiden had been caught red handed doing training he wasn’t supposed to. “Oh no... wait back to the mission thing. Didn’t we do a mission for your family before? Purifying an object of a curse or something. I forget what exactly.” The boy went through his list of responses. They all seemed fairly normal and he felt annoyed that he felt a bit happy at Aiden not having a girlfriend. He should nip that in the butt.
“Can you repeat those responses more loudly into my hat please...” He hummed with a smirk, pointing his head into the other boys direction insulting his hair was wired by the other boys grandmother. I mean it wasn’t. Was it? No. Yes? But also no.
“Bad weird or like normal weird? I guess probably the later since you problem have a dream catcher for bad dreams. Hmm... well it’s good you are so open about it your aunt.” He wasn’t getting the insulation. He was more worried about Aiden possibly having bad dreams. He was such a nice boy.

It was about to get harder to hide his injuries, if he had them, from his friend, but he supposed that was even more motivation to take care of himself. He nodded at Charani. Most of his missions hadn’t been with knights in particular. There that one small one with Emery, but in general he didn’t really find himself in danger when with knights. Maybe that was a sign he should’ve done more work with them than going off in his own. A discussion with McKenna for later then. [break][break]
He let out an uneasy chuckle. “Maybe it’s an Emerson thing.” He said with a tired shrug. Even if he wanted to take it easy, he only had so much slack to take from his patrons and he had to use that wisely before they yanked him all the way back. He remembered the errand Marjorie had sent them on. Of course she’d gone through hthe proper channels but it’d been abundantly clear who was meant to take the mission. “Yeah…but I would’ve called that more a favor than a real mission.” He said, still a little guilty about Charani getting dragged into it. “It was a pair of hexed glasses I think?” he added not quite remembering it himself. Because it had been boring! Not even a mission! They’d gone into his basement for the stars’ sakes! Charani hadn’t been to that house since, and he liked to keep it that way. Better a visit in his room at the coven than a nest full of spies. [break][break]
“Oh? Sure.” He said rolling his eyes at Charani. He went along with the joke that he…at least hoped was a joke. Then again Rosario was a far more accomplished weaver than him. He knew everything from her but he was still learning and there had always been that thought of her withholding information he was too inexperienced to deal with just yet. “Graaaaaaaaan,” he began as he put his hand on his friend’s shoulder and leaned into his beanie. “Graaan, I ain’t gotta girl because school’s too stressful as it is.” He said loudly. “Tell Pa I’ve had the dreams- the sex ones. Though I’m sure Auntie Harlow already told ‘im.” He went on before straightening up and shoving his hands back in his pockets. [break][break]
According to everything he had learned at age 13, this was normal. Half the time anyway. The other half were the same dreams of his friend but with a far more malicious context. Even if he avoided more gruesome visions like the one he had during Charnai’s visit at the hospital, there was still a lot of shit talked at him during some of his dreams. He found it hard to argue when the words were coming out of his friend’s mouth, but dreams were weird sometimes. He didn’t put a lot of stock into it, too tired to fully analyze it at 6 in the morning. “Considering everything happening in the dreamscape of Sundial lately, I’d say pretty normal-weird dreams.” He said. It could be worse. He could never wake up from his dreams. “I’ve had bigger things to worry about lately, so it’s probably just stress.” He continued, eyeing different people they walked by. Some in couples, some groups of families. No one with weird eyes or a smoky exterior- No. He shoved that paranoia way down once more despite the chill in his back. It was fine.
[break][break]

“Technically it was still a mission so it counts~ Not all missions are flashy and filled with battle.” The brunette could think of plenty of other missions he’d been on that were mot very battle oriented or at least didn’t start off that way. Heck with líng lù-xī he even did a research type mission on some strange object the girl has found previously.
“Have a good night Mrs Emerson.” The young witch tthen squeezed the little ball on his head like he was turning something off. Okay maybe this was a bit cruel but he felt like Aiden was hiding something from him. He didn’t know why. He’s probably just being paranoid. He then went on to act like he didn’t just do that and this whole part of the conversation didn’t happen. If prompted he would lie.
”Hmm. Yeah everyone seems unnerved by that woman from the tournament. To affect so many and so many powerful witches with her magic is kinda scary.” He couldn’t even believe it if there were not so many accounts. She wielded powerful magic for sure. Forbidden magic no doubt. It would explain the strength or her spells... or a dark magic item? Hard to tell.
“Your Aunt sounds as gossipy as my sisters. You know she’ll tell anyone you bring home about it probably right? That’s what my sisters would do...” He had also purposefully not let his sisters anywhere near Aiden when it became very clear that his friendship with the boy was... well let’s just say one side didn’t exactly have those same friendship feelings as the other. You know?
“Oh look at the clothes. They look warm” He pointed at some of the merchandise for sale as they walked down the areas... I guess it was a street? Or it was normally a street blocked off for the concert. There were T-shirts and sweaters that looked rather cheaply made. Some looked like they had more quality than others but they all looked very... mass produced. That was kind of the point though wasn’t it?

Aiden only shrugged, not wanting to think on that mission anyway. It wasn’t even that they hadn’t fought, but it had also just been an errand Marjorie had directed through proper channels. Ever since then she’d upped the intensity on his purification training. Now that he was more advance, the matriarch herself had stepped down from her throne to tutor him personally. It served two purposes: of course, teaching him more advanced techniques in purification, but it also forced him to live more often in the estate where she could monitor his progress and actions herself. “Yeah I guess.” He relented before snickering at the end of Charani’s joke. He highly doubted Marjorie or Rosario were listening. At least, he really hoped they weren’t. [break][break]
He felt a sense of relief as Charani not only didn’t press him on the content of his more risqué dreams, but he seemed to skip over it entirely. Thank the gods. “Yeah…she’s scary, but that’s because we’re missing a lot on information on her too. Once we get it, she’s just another terrorist.” Aiden said a little too confidently. He’d been thinking heavily on it lately, but he was just a low-ranking knight. He didn’t have any leads. All this information was more or less protected by the upper echelons of the Helios Knights. Soon though. He’d crack into it...eventually. Hopefully. No use in thinking about it now though. He already had enough on his plate. [break][break]
The redhead nodded. It was a coin toss whether she would rib him about it privately or blurt it out in front of polite company. Either way though, it didn’t really matter to him. “Good thing you’re the only one I bring home, and you already know so. Problem solved.” Check And Mate, Family. Can’t embarrass him further when he’s already made an idiot of himself in front of Charani more times than he can count. “Now we just need to keep your sisters away form my aunt, and we’ll save ourselves that humiliation.” A hard task when they were smack dab in the middle of holidays, but he doubted Charani’s family would make it all the way out to the hovel so they were safe in that regard. [break][break]
He paused looking over the stall with multiple artists plastered on shirts, hats and even sweaters and hoodies. The prices were pretty expensive for the cheap quality. Aiden refrained from judging too harshly, but he could sense the scratchiness of the material already. No love for the craft eh? “I guess. Oh- isn’t that Raven-?” he began noting a familiar face on the merch before McKenna purposely bumped him with one of her antlers before quietly telling him to pay closer attention to his friend. He looked at Charani who had gone more for style than utility, as usual. “Hey, uh, you-” his hand reached for his friend’s fingers that were indeed, pretty cold from exposure. “Want one? Or you could borrow my jacket too, I don’t need it right now.” He said before pulling back his hands and tugging at his own coat as McKenna silently rushed him. How could a boy so bright be so slow at times.

“I’m not sure. Whoever that woman is... she’s dangerous.” The brunette could feel it in his bones. To be bold enough to attack someplace with so many powerful witches and even cause someone as powerful as Lady Claire to go berserk. She was frightful.
Good thing you’re the only one brought home. That won’t be true forever now will it. “I’m sure they’ll find a way, my sisters are very resourceful. I’m sure they already are planning to dress you up like a doll.” It was where he got most of his clothes to be fair. His eldest sister was a master of fashion, helped by her weaving magic of course. He wouldn’t put it past her as the oldest to scope out Aidens family life. For his own good of course.
“Hmm... I think so? I don’t really listen to her music.” The young witch said when the other boy pointed out Raven merch. She had a good voice but she was very... poppy which he didn’t mind but it seemed kind of fake to him. He just didn’t vibe with it . He looked down when he felt warmer hands grab onto his. Don’t react. Don’t react. Don’t pull away like hot flames. Don’t flinch. He did flinch a bit at the contact even with trying to suppress it.
The redhead was trying to offer his jacket to the boy. It was pretty obvious he had been cold now that he though about it. His sweater, while cute, was not very thick. His pants were... well not pants so they thin as can be. At least he wore boots. He should decline.
”Oh no it’s fine. I’m not that cold.” He lies to his friend. Besides Aiden would be cold if he gave the boy his jacket. The sweaters might help a bit but the material was... poor quality and wouldn’t help much. Like at all.

He couldn’t deny that. Causig that much chaos by herself? He thought for sure she’d been doing something to the poor girl in her grasp, but it seemed more like she was desperately clinging to her, not the opposite. She hadn’t looked tired, she’d just left. They’d barely dented her progress. Still, they had been unprepared for a surprise attack. They would do better next time. They had to. That was why so many knights were working so hard right? To be ready?? They’d figure it out. “We’ll stave her off next time, if it comes to that.” He said. If they didn’t believe they could, then half the battle was lost already. But enough about that. They were at a concert. This was a happy event. [break][break]
“Ah…I’m used that from the Emersons.” He said with a tired laugh. He had been to way too many fittings in his life time. They’d slowed down now that he had a basic wardrobe but the first few weeks had been exhausting. “Maybe they’ll have something more interesting than slacks and suits. I don’t think I’d mind too much.” He added. The hang ups with people giving him clothes had disappeared. It was easier to help them do it quickly than resist and drag it out longer anyway. The redhead nodded pointing their colleague out. “Yes. Oh, I don’t either, but we worked together for a bit during the Empyreal Cup incident.” He explained. Perhaps he had surprised Charani, but he did his best to ignore that line of thought. Hands were hands were hands were hands. Keep them to yourself then. The problem here was Charani catching a cold for his choice of dress. “Ah no, it’s fine I don’t get cold easily.” He said as he pulled off the Letterman. “In fact, it was getting a little too hot under that. I stitched in a few threads to make it warmer.” He added as he handed the jacket, unwilling to take no for an answer. He gave one last glance at the merch before nodding towards the source of the music. “I’d wait until we get a little closer. Maybe more official merch has something warmer. You can give it back then.” He added as McKenna, seemingly in support of this logic began trotting off leaving her witch and his companion to follow.
