this is Salem, a land filled with magic and maladies. It is a place where witches and their elemental familiars gather, a home to legend and
lore that predates time itself. Yet of all the wicked and wonderful stories the past can tell us of, the most magical are the ones yet to happen.
This is Salem - this is the start of your very own journey. Welcome to starfall
Starfall is an animaga witch roleplay set in mostly modern times. Members play as witches in a world plagued by monsters, where the only safe spots are walled cities. Starfall strives to be a character-driven roleplay with expansive lore and a highly interactive plotline. We want to allow members to
create and look back on a magical journey, and mold the site and its plot as their characters grow.

The cafe wasn't very busy during this time of day. That was the exact reason why they all met here every Thursday. There were three other boys who were hanging out at the table with him, each with a character sheet and dice in front of them. The DM, a man he knew from the circus, had a menu in front of his items to give the air of mystery during their quest.
Currently the group was in some kind of forest trying to find a mirror. Why did they need the mirror? Well it was an item they needed to clear a dungeon in order to get some new weapons.
Their party currently consisted of a mage who was regulated to healer/ranged magic because nobody else had healing moves, a knight with iron wall defenses but almost no strength stat so he did very little damage, and of course Billy's character being a rouge with paper thin defenses to counter balance his speed and attack power.
The black haired young man hummed as they ran through a battle or two. The characters being over leveled for this section of the forest. It was easy thus far. Of course the deeper they got into the forest the stronger the creatures would be.
The young man to his right was currently attempting for his fifth time to hit the goblin leader in front of them. He was not rolling to well this play through and it was kind of hilarious to watch... well funny because they were in no real danger at this point. If this was how it went during a mini boss or boss fight they'd be toast.
Roleplay wasn't something Nana had ever heard of. Not until recently that is. She was at a cafe when she heard about it in passing from a barista, and from there, she inquired about it. Every Thursday these boys would come in and roleplay, and from what she gathered, roleplaying involved making a character and acting as them for this game that someone sets up for them. It sounded fun, and Nana wanted in.
Even if she didn't know any of the people beforehand, she was going to interrupt them. Besides, she was a cute girl, who could deny her?... Other than Cadbeary... And a bunch of other males... And even her family... Okay so maybe a lot of people can, but hopefully she'd be able to get her way this time! So, grin proudly on her face, Nana walked into the Sun Cafe. Her blue eyes went from table to table, trying to find the people that were described to her only barely, and when she thought she saw them, she made her way over.
They were talking animatedly and had papers in front of them, so when she approached, she tapped the closest one to her on the shoulder. He had black hair and was sitting next to another boy that was... trying to hit a goblin... leader? Were they in the middle of a battle? Oh well. She still wanted in, and she wasn't going to wait. "Hey, are you guys the ones that roleplay? If you are, and if I'm not intruding, I'd like to join you. It seems like fun, and I do love a good story."

There was a girl who sauntered up to the group of boys being all girl like. You know that kind of walk that girls just seem to have that was strangely feminine even when actions don't really have a concept of gender attached to them. Why was he thinking so much about this? It was strange and annoying.
He was the one of course who got rudely tapped on the shoulder by this lame chick. Oops tone down the rudeness. Tone it down like eighty notches. Okay so he wasn't in as good of a mood as he thought he was. Honestly he was here playing this little game to take his mind off of other things that he really didn't care to talk about. That's okay though. Smile and pretend you aren't a huge asshole. That always worked for mom... er... the ringleader.
"Well... um... that's not..." he said trying to figure out the best way to deny the girl without seeming like a total asshat. He wasn't very good at that but after a lot of chastising his little sibling was trying to get him to be somewhat less... abrasive. Mostly with a low blow about this is why all his boyfriends ended up not seeing him as 'long term material' or something equally as dickish.
"Oh YES! I mean of course milady." The dude the boy to the left of them who was the little mage kid. He was a little to eager to have the girl join. Straight boys. Ugh. He even stole a chair from the table next to them for her to sit at... trying to be all chivalry and shiz like that. He was really laying it on thick. The other boys didn't seem to mind her being an addition to the group. Billy was screwed and outnumbered he could already tell. No sense making a stink about a fight he'd lose.
The DM boy grabbed some sheets and a pencil from his bag to go over making a character with the girl. Naturally she could chose from a multitude of job classes. Things as musical as a bard or as holy as a priestess. Heck she could be a bare fisted monk or a templar knight if she wanted too. Their DM in particular was flexible with class choices for starting out. There were a variety of options for her to choose from it tended to overwhelm new people when choosing what to pick.
