Raven just laughs when Siobhan says she would be punching whoever made this and made them take it. It's rather violent, but frankly Raven does not care. "Be sure to get an uppercut for me," the white-haired girl says.
Now it's time for the performance, to which Raven drops the subject completely and would enter the stage. They are handed each a mini-microphone, which would hopefully work well. And, just like that, as soon as Raven in on stage, she seems like an entirely different person.
She does not need to introduce herself as everyone in the crowd knows her. Not everyone--that is a point she had only realized recently--but sure a heck lot. She only needs to introduce Siobhan, which is met with hearty round of applause. Without further ado, the duo begins their little song and dance. Raven is on a trance, like well-oiled machine working efficiently. She does not tire, her enthusiasm doesn't wane, her smile never leaves her face. She effectively guides Siobhan through it all, throwing her glances and leading the small performance.
After all, this is her place. The stage is her home.
The two makes the first phase with as little trouble as possible. Everything seems to be going well... not Raven almost trips over a rose.
Her head spins, the trance-like concentration finally broken. This is not part of the plan... Nonetheless the show must go on, and so Raven steps over the blooms and continues. But it's getting pretty crowded on stage because of all the roses... and they're prickly as well! Raven is careful to keep her distance, but whatever she does, the roses continues to grow all around the duo.
The crowd seems to appreciate it though. They must think it's part of the show. After another two minutes or so, it's time for their solos. Siobhan is up first. Raven gracefully exits for to give Siobhan the necessary stage...
And straight-up approaches a personnel, angry. "What is this?" Raven hisses. "This is not part of the plan! What is that potion?!"

Inventory - what has been used in this thread
The flowers just wouldn't let up. Everytime she stepped anywhere these damn roses came out of nowhere likes weeds. Well she for sure couldn't do much dancing now. At least not without totally cutting up her legs and probably feet. Sure she didn't care that much about pain but even she had limits. She could try and use fire magic to burn them but... that'd probably be a safety hazard which would have the opposite effect of what they were trying to do.
"Okay guys since we are currently being invaded by flowers I hope you don't mind if I do something a tiny bit... well different." She said this into the microphone before running off stage for a hot second. She blew right past Raven as she was going all hog on the guys who were like... you know in charge of this whole mess. She grabbed an instrument that she hoped was tuned that seemed to be just kind of laying around with a whole bunch of other equipment.
Within a minute she was running back on stage giving a thumbs up to Raven as she blew past. Yeah this was indeed not going well. She'd been off stage for a minute and already people were confused and a few had left entirely. The girl was back up at the microphone thankfully before she began to speak... ukelele in tow.
"Okay guys are you ready for some music???" she shouted before strumming on the small instrument a pleasant... folksy sound. She started singing a song while playing to cover up the fact she couldn't move like she was planning. It was kind of nice in that indie vibe sort of way... all she needed was like a flower crown and a white flowy dress for that cochella vibe. Hopefully Raven's performance would go better.

The personnel looks completely off-guard, and somehow looks just as clueless as Raven. It makes Raven angrier, like what the fuck? "Don't look at me like that! I want to know what is happening, and I want a fast immediate solution. Just look at the stage!" The white-haired girl gestures frantically to the platform, which is now unexplicably teeming with roses and their thorns.
"Hey, don't l--ugh!" Yes, everything is going smoothly now, isn't it. However Siobhan is very quick, and if it's a different circumstance Raven would have been at awe with Siobhan. But that is not the case, and whatever she says it won't justify that she just left the audience, even for the shortest amount of time. She seems to be carrying an instrument with her, and surely enough, she begins playing.
Raven turns her attention back to the personnel, who is... staring at her even more fearfully. That's when she begins to notice. All around her the roses bloom, and Raven curses. This must be the potion. "You!" she snaps at the personnel. "Find us a cure!" Thean frantically runs off to Merlin knows where, while Raven dashes to the backstage, undresses, and puts on a tight-fitting dress. Luckily their make-up is non-smear and sweat-proof. The adrenaline allows her to go back to the stage with an entirely different outfit. She whispers new instructions to the music and lighting personnel standing close before going to the stage. She smiles at the crowd, out of breath, before clapping her hands. The crowd goes wild once again, as Siobhan's last note ends with Raven already with them. No dead-air.
"What a wonderful performance! Let's give her a round of applause!" the crowd heeds her, some even standing for Siobhan's recognition. Raven gives her the exit as a spotlight shines on her, further darkening the rest of the stage. The roses just keep growing and growing, almost taking the entirety of the stage. And so Raven does the unthinkable--she veers out of the script and decides to put on a three-minute worthy of musical theatre dialogue. "My love, my love, you've brought me all these roses! But alas..."

The flowers wouldn't stop... or maybe couldn't stop with that damn potion. Maybe she could just set them all ablaze and deal with the fallout later. Someone would have water magic in the audience or the crew probably. Probably. Right now as she was heading backstage with flowers marking her steps all she wanted to do was punch someone.
"Okay time to start the beatdowns" She cracking her knuckles as she came into the dressing rooms. She made her way towards the people she assumed were in charge given their general demeanor and all that kind of stuff. Okay to be honest she just looked for the guy in a suit who looked important. That was it. She poured her mana outward using CONSTELLER GRIMOIRE: URSA MAJOR to increase her strength, the light of the bear constellation marking itself on her back like a glowing tattoo. Time to get violent.
"Let's get this fixed now please or imma start the dying," she hummed with a darkly annoyed tone to her voice. She cracked her knuckles trying to be a little threatening but to be honest she was a small girl so it probably wasn't that scary looking at her. She did however bring her fist down on a table next to her and break it thanks to her strengthening magic. She wasn't playing. The man didn't look that happy at this revelation... and began speaking into his headset quietly. She was going to give him about ten seconds to fix this or she'd get mad. Wait she was supposed to be trying to be calm. CALM DAMN IT.
Also she was way past that. She just really wanted these damn flowers gone. Stupid weak men with their weird potions who did this kind of stuff. If she broke enough of his fingers he'd probably give up who made the potion or where/how to fix it. That was how it worked with most of the people she fought... break enough limbs and people start blabbing their 'tight lips'.

Raven is exhausted. This is one of the most taxing performances she has had, and to think this should be the easiest, smallest one...! This is what she gets for agreeing to low-budget request. Preparations are shit, and not everything has gone haywire. Raven plucks roses, steps over branches, and her dress keeps on catching the thorns, tearing the fabric. She finishes the performance entirely tangled in leaves and flowers.
Stupid, stupid roses!
Angered, Raven's palms burst into fire. The crowd oohs as Raven shapes the searing hot flames into a ball, and lobs it gently to the nearest flowers, as she makes her exit only to drag Siobhan for the last song. The plants burn, slowly, and because the flowers are still full of water, the plants soon put out the flames on their own tenacity. But she has done it enough to create a small pathway to the backstage.
And there the woman sees a raven-haired girl about to punch a personnel. Raven is not against that, she would love to beat the guy, too. She would not, but if she can... imagine the possibilities.
But that is not the priority now. It's the last song, and as soon as it's over they can powerplay the personnel with finding a cure for these goddamn roses. She reaches Siobhan in a haste, and forcefully drags her to the stage. "Beating for later," Raven huffs. Then, a glare at the personnel. "You better find us something useful before we get back! You have three minutes!" The man then scrambles off. Good. Raven turns to Siobhan in the next second.
"Play or ukelele, dance or whatever. This is the last one." Once again Raven takes the lead and announces the good news. It's bad news for the crowd, of course, but to the witches it's a blessing. Raven immerses herself to the performance, utilizing her environment to the fullest with the still-growing roses.
Three more minutes...

The person she was intent on beating up was lucky the other girl grabbed her for the performance. The table was not so lucky but hey she didn't knock out some teeth so like... that was good right? Yeah that was an improvement for sure. She was dragged on stage as the other girl announced this was their last performance. They had three minutes and she could start the punching.
She'd play her instrument so she didn't have to move much. That was the best way not to get constantly stabbed by the damn thorny flowers. Why did it have to be roses and not like lilies or something. Some kind of damn flower that didn't stab you in the legs. She could feel herself still getting crowded in by the damn flowers while the other girl tried her best to do her little show.
She tried to concentrate on pouring her mana down towards her feet attempting to use her fire magic to melt the damn flowers away. They can't exactly put out a fire if you melt away all the live lovely water out of them and turn them to ash can they? Take that you stupid flowers. Naturally the effect would be strongest around her as flowers started to catch fire and wither from the intense heat she was putting off. Frickin flowers.
The performance was almost over. Almost over not soon enough though. She could see with every movement or even partial movement the damn flowers sprouting up like in-laws. Just as the performance ended she could feel her grip tighten on the instrument and heard a cracking sound. Well shit she broke it... well she was going to break a lot more once she got back stage unless they figured out how to fix this. She could hear the other girl talking and the crowd cheering but right now all she wanted was someone to punch. Soon after the performance they'd go backstage and she could play the bad cop... which by bad cop she meant punch happy cop. The stabler to Raven's benson.
Post by raven delacroix on Jun 9, 2018 11:19:02 GMT
The seconds turn into minutes, steadily, just like how they always do. Somehow it's too slow, why can't it be quicker? She feels like if she stays one more minute in this stage she would be swallowed by the damn roses. How lovely. Unlike her, who is now cutting herself as she unsuccessfully tries to part the plants, Siobhan is having the time of her life as she melts the plants in her vicinity while the thorns prick and slice Raven's fair skin. Ugh.
Finally, she's had enough. She opens her palms and materializes a ball of fire... and casually drops it on the floor. The plants catch fire which burns persistently against all odds.
But her flames go out without another flare, and so does their performance. The crowd seems to be in a limbo, but Raven doesn't care anymore, and she raises her microphone and bows. She flashes another smile and bids a quick farewell before escaping to the backstage. At least the audience seems satisfied with that.
Even as she steps out of the limelight the damn flowers are still growing ohmygod--
"That took us long enough," Raven mutters in frustration as she rips of her tattered dress right there and then. She slips out in a plain white strapless dress. She then proceeds to kick the dress to the side. Dai appears, nudging a fearful-looking man to the two girls. He seems to be holding another vial, and Raven fumes in anger as she sucks in a deep breath. She doesn't want to trust any of this crew anymore, but does she really have a choice?
A rose starts to wrap at her ankles and Raven kicks it away. "Huh, so is that a antidote or something? Or are you freaks playing with us again, huh?"

Both girls were so tired of these damn flowers as they came off the stage. All she knew was they better have an antidote or she was going to start breaking some of these little twinks over her knee like the good lord intended. Raven seemed just as unhappy given how she was angrily ripping herself out of her costume and kicking away thorny flowers as she stood there confronting a man.
The man looked fearful in front of the two young women and it kind of made Siobhan want to laugh at how stupid he looked right now cowering in front of a pop star and a sixteen year old girl. He had some kind of potion in his hand which went to both of the girls. So was this the antidote? Given her response Raven wasn't very convinced that this was the real deal.
"It's worth a shot." Hey it wasn't like the girls really had any other option. She would glare at the man who was fearful of them for a solid ten seconds as she popped open the potion bottle with her thumb... maybe purposefully trying to hit him with the cork as she did so.
"I hope you know if this doesn't work I'ma start havin ta break some bones ya know???" Her face had a small smile on it but you could easily tell she was serious. Okay bottoms up and lets hope this damn potion works. She poured it into her mouth and waited for the damn thing to take effect. Either this worked or she was gonna start breaking some fingers... or maybe arms if they really pissed her off. Why not both if they had time.

If Raven has the same ability as Dai, she would have also burst into flames with the absurdity of the situation. Not only does her limbs sting with minor (but many) cuts, there is also the possibility that this crew is messing with them. How inconvenient. That puts the agency's name into Raven's blacklist. They just lost a very valuable asset.
Raven snatches the vial out of the man's hand, and he recoils. Along with Siobhan's threat, Raven gives the man a death stare. "This better not be a ruse." And the white-haired woman removes the cork with some effort, because damn her fingers are riddled with cuts. She spills droplets of the icky liquid. on her hand. Raven wipes it off on her satin dress and proceeds to chug the liquid.
Ugh... it tastes absolutely bitter.
Raven shuts her eyes tight as she swallows in one go. The taste lingers on her tongue. She would have to brush her teeth and tongue thrice to get rid of the bitterness. Raven almost gags, and for a moment her eyelids fly open and and her eyeballs threaten to jump out their socket. Nope, not a good sight to see. Luckily Raven manages to get through with the rancid thing.
Much to her dismay the roses do not disappear. Raven moves over to the nearest chair, trying to catch her breath. "That is awful. Ugh," the woman further complains. But the plants stops their persistence. At long last, they are finally freed from the goddamn curse.
The crew is silent, watching the two witches. When Raven is still enough, she snaps, "Don't expect us to say thank you. Oh god, this is the worst set I have ever stepped onto. But we still pulled the show off. You should be thanking us." She then holds out one palm as she crosses her legs. She raises a fine eyebrow at the staff.

The potion seemed to work at least. When she moved her foot there didn't seem to be any more damn roses moving around. That was a good sign. That was a very good sign. The potion was bitter as all hell though like certain things in certain fanfictions she may or may not have read about certain boys. You know. Certain things. At least she imagined it was that bitter.
Raven was still pissed and shouting at the guy about how this was ridiculous and blah blah blah some kind of lame diva stuff like any idol would. She really didn't care anymore she just wanted to leave. She would return to the guild... collect her payment and then go let out some aggression on some poor boys in Jester's Den. She could already imagine that sweet feeling of boys toppling beneath her like she was the queen of the castle.
"Well as fun as this is I have some unrepressed rage to deal with so I think Imma go." Hey it wasn't like she was really needed anymore right? She had completed her mission and did her weird song/dance thing for the crowd. Sure it was weird but hey it was what they wanted to happen... well not really but it did happen and people watched.
"Try something like this again and imma break yer legs son. Well see ya later ladies!" Her face had a small smile on it but you could easily tell she was serious. Okay time to get out of here with a nice wave and just ghost for the next few days. She liked doing that for sure. Mission complete and all that right? Yeah. Sure.

Raven bids the raven-haired woman goodbye, attention still focused on the staff. To be honest Siobhan hasn't really helped that much. At least she did her part, even if it's mediocre. "Bye, have fun," Raven says absentmindedly.
The staff on the other hand looks incredibly bashful and guilty. Some has the audacity to giver her death glares and sharp stares. But Raven doesn't care. Dai silently makes his way towards his witch, all of her change of clothes strewn on his antlers. He can barely see, and Raven tsks and help him organize. In swift motions she gets her clothes folded neatly and stacked. She fishes a casual wear and disappears inside a dressing room for a minute.
As soon as she sweeps the blinds she's off. "Okay, I'm out of here," she says. Dai walks out first. Before she leaves, she casts another look at the uneasy group of people behind her. Raven rolls her eyes heavenwards. "Also, your management is on my blacklist. Look at who you lost because of your sloppy work. Sad, right?" she sneers.
Later her manager would be flocked by tens of pigeons each carrying a letter. But Raven does not entertain any of them, and simply crumpling the papers and tossing them to the trash can.

raven delacroix, Siobhan Kasparian [break][break] congratulations for completing the star of the show mission! Although you can't say exactly how the rose potion made its way into the event at large, you certainly found the source, and the organizers are very grateful! the following has been sent to your inventory.
