This mission was something he begged to have. It was fairly well known among the Jester's Den crowd that Billy was a little weird about certain missions. Normally he had to be dragged into them but there were a few he was literally on his knees begging for. This was one of those missions.
On the surface it was because he knew one of the farmers who had been effected. Or rather his circus family did... specifically the ring master was friendly with a few of the farmers out here from back in the day. That was how he knew them as well thanks to her. It payed to be the nephew of the former ringmaster after all... no matter if they were related by blood or not. It didn't matter.
Of course they wouldn't let him go along by himself, not even with a mission of this lower level. So of course he grabbed the first person he could and pretty much begged them to come with him. That was how he got this boy he'd never really met to be on this mission near the wall. It was by the south wall aka its legit just a fence. That made it easy for something to get across even with the guard. It was also always happening at night when the guard was less likely to be able to notice and intrusion.
"We should probably talk to the farm hands and search for clues," he said as he looked over at the male he'd dragged along. His eyes showed a glimmer of genuine enthusiasm with this kind of task that was normally devoid in most interactions he had with people. This was what excitement was like. They just had to search the farm to find some clues and talk to some people. There were only the man who owned the farm, his wife, their son and two farm hands. It wouldn't be to hard to get some intel from the people about what's been happening.
Plus looking at the actual farm they were on... it wasn't very big. Just two crop fields, a sheep corral, a barn, a house and a small storage shed. It'd be easy to stake the place out later that night. Probably have one stationed in the crop field next to the sheep corral and one near the barn to cover the rest of the area.
He put on his best smile when he spoke to his mission partner. "What do you think... um... you? I'm sorry what was your name again kid?" He had a kind of flirty tone to his voice. The question was genuine though. He couldn't for the life of him remember the guys name. He probably didn't ask for it to be honest and just said 'this one is going with' and presented the poor dad enthusiast to the mission giver.

He hadn’t been enthusiastic about taking the mission, particularly with a total stranger who seemed all too happy to drag him along without input. That was a lie. He had mumbled and shaken his head, distracted by some older man or other trying to enjoy his tea without being spied on. This goddamn curse. He couldn’t focus easily when around his type. Still, there was no turning back now as he followed along closely to his partner. He’d gotten the details of the mission a little later when his head had cleared. Something was stealing people’s animals or something?? It was a little freaky but also fuck it, it was an investigation. He was bred for this. He needed this to be good. Hopefully it was good.
The more he imagined what could be the problem the more excited he got. His first real investigation. He was the reporter here, not the intern. Well, he assumed the guy with him wasn’t an intern anyway. The blonde nodded in response. Squeeze as much info out of the locals and then get crackin’. At a glance, there didn’t seem to be much wrong with the farm. It looked fairly normal and if there had been any other damages other than the animals, he couldn’t tell. Heath reached into his pocket and pulled out a pencil and a little notebook to annotate little phrases for the article that were already popping into his head.
As the stranger spoke to him once more, he stared as he processed what he’d been asked. What? Oh, shit. Uh. “We could ask if they have any bodies and check the wounds on them.” Morbid, but it was something he had seen mentioned in newspaper clippings about murders and fights. Actually, any gruesome detail he could get his hands on was good enough. People loved that kind of thing. But he imagined it would also help if, hopefully, his partner had any knowledge of animals or…monsters? Maybe that was hoping too much. As Billy reached for a name, the blond was quick to offer it. “Heath Ambroise. Thanks for bringing me.” he said as he attempted a polite smile and offered his hand for a shake. “You do this a lot?” Heath asked hesitantly. The guy seemed all too happy to be wandering around in the middle of the night waiting for something to pop out.

Asking to see the bodies wasn't actually a terrible idea. He was mildly impressed. Maybe it was because he was used to working with little fledglings without a sense of self preservation or the sense the good lord gave a chicken.
"Okay Hershey, that's not a bad idea. Let me go ask." He didn't wait to see if the other boy had followed him before he went up to the farm owner. Given how he had phrased it... he had hoped the boy took the hint and didn't follow him to meet to farmer. He had a small but pleasant conversation with the farmer that he purposefully kept in a quite tone. It was almost like he was keeping the other boy out of the loop on purpose. Which he totally was.
After a brief moment he would turn around and walk to wherever Heath was currently standing. It appears from his little conversation with the farmer that they currently had two bodies that had been found nearby. They think that the creature was spooked away because it normally seemed to drag its pray over the fence and into the woods. These two sheep cadavers were found just a few feet from the farms border with a few wards put up around the 'scene of the crime'. It shouldn't be to hard to slip by and observe them. If they were lucky the guards could allow them through the wards to examine the bodies. If not... well maybe they could at least look from a distance or break the wards themselves to see what they could figure out.
"He said there are two bodies just outside the farm but there are wards up around them to keep people from disturbing the crime scene," he said as he looked behind the boy towards where he assumed the bodies would be. It was the area that would be fastest to get to the forest after all so it was more than likely in that direction.
"Let's go see them quick while we have a chance... they'll probably send them away for analysis and we won't have a chance to see them when that happens." He waved his hand in a 'follow me' motion as he started to trek towards the bodies. Hopefully they could get some information out of the bodies... or at least from looking at them. They probably wouldn't see much of the bodies in the dark but he could always illuminate them with some light magic to help. That'd work.

“Heath.” The journalist corrected immediately though it was probably lost on his partner as the guy waltzed off. He stood there in silence for a few moments before he squinted at Billy’s form. Wait a minute-“Oh…” The joke had been completely lost on him. Well, whatever he was focusing on other things. Heath shook his head before getting busy, and by busy really he just wandered little bit closer to the sheep corral to get a better look at it. He checked to see how the thing had entered. Ramming into the damn fence was too loud and noticeable. Had it flown? Had it dug under the fence? Details, Heath, details. What else could help?
“It’s late and this isn’t a homicide, so hopefully watchmen won't be a problem.” He stated. Wards were probably enough to keep away whatever animals prowled about at night. Maybe a wolf had decided to mark this as part of its territory or something. If that was the case why not just set wards around the corral? As Billy led, he followed. He jogged up to him before falling in step as they approached the wards. In the little light offered by the moon, he could see a couple of fat lumps laying on the ground and bloody drag marks. Heath had expected some CRIME SCENE tape if he was honest. All he saw was four simple wooden posts with runes he couldn’t read on them. “You see anyone?” he asked, though his eyes were focused on the corpses. One would assume that taking a mission concerning whatever killed these sheep gave them enough authority to look at said corpses. He didn’t like the feeling that he needed to sneak around when they were just trying to help. “Did any of the people you talked to actually see the thing?” Heath asked as stepped to the edge of the barrier.

It took them about two minutes to get to the bodies. He was walking around fairly suspiciously to be totally honest. His eyes kept scanning the horizon and the area like they were looking for something. To be honest they were looking for a creature. The creature that did this... and guards. They were technically supposed to come be here with guards because they were only supposed to be aiding in the capture/disposal of the creature... not the investigation. Of course that didn't matter to the young Jester.
"Still can't be to careful... we aren't... exactly authorized for this part of the mission," he said with a small chuckle. He even had his hand rubbing the back of his head with a big shit eating grin on his face as he looked at the young man next to him. He wanted to investigate for another reason. He needed to find out if this was the creature that they... mostly he... had been tracking. He had to know.
"It's hard to tell... maybe a little light would help..." he hummed as a small feline materialized next to Heath. The small creature purred and was pretty much forcing herself upon the poor boy. She went to rub against his leg before sitting down in front of him and meowing at Heath. She wanted to be held and pet. She demanded it. This was her MO.
With her out though Billy could use some light magic which was the whole point. He poured mana into his left hand and used TECHNIQUE: ORB CREATION to form a little ball of light. He tossed it like a baseball towards the bodies to help illuminate them. It didn't seem to activate any of the wards. Maybe because of the nature of the victims they only reacted to physical stimulus and not just floating orbs of mana?
He could see the bodies very clearly now thanks to that. "They didn't see anything... but from what I can see now it looks like long claws marks and teeth. From here the bodies look exsanguinated but its hard to tell without getting closer... what do you see?" This was partially a test. You keep see bite marks around the neck and back of the bodies as well. Most likely a paralytic agent used with the first bite and the second was for the killing blow. The bodies were fairly torn apart suggesting they wanted the meat for food. This means it was more than likely not a normal wolf. This was good. Very good... well for Billy at least.

Heath frowned at his partner at the revelation, eyes narrowing in slight annoyance. “That’s something you share on the way here.” He said, his voice low before shaking his head in disapproval. It would’ve been easier if they were authorized for all this…extra stuff they were doing but he would work around it if he had to. He wasn’t about to lose to on this story just because of a misunderstanding. “What’s your plan if we get caught then?” he asked, shrugging off the minor concern he’d felt just a minute ago. Fuck it. He supposed he should get used to it. It was in his job description. He should expect some of his leads to have risks. Inconvenient as this development was, he felt a little more excited about the mission. He’d count it as practice for whenever, if ever, he got bigger cases to look into. He didn’t smile though not wanting to let his companion think he was over it.
His thought were interrupted by the sudden, soft warmth down on his leg. Heath gave the cat a quick look over, hesitant to pet the cat. He waited for a cue from Billy, but as he focused on his magic Heath supposed it was alright. The cat seemed to want the attention anyway. Quietly, he knelt before the cat and slowly scooped her up before gently scratching her head. Why can’t Sinclair be this cute…? he thought quietly. The light hurt his eyes a bit but he forced himself to watch. Blinking away the spot, he studied the bodies carefully. Yes, light was so much better. He wanted a drawing of this. He made sure to burn the gruesome image to memory since his hands were currently occupied.
At the question, the reporter swallowed. Gored bodies weren’t exactly his specialty but logic and critical thinking were. Without thinking, he carefully lifted the cat and set her in his hood before moving around the barrier and try to get a different angle at things. “Multiple bites…so the sheep didn’t go down without fighting but…” If the sheep had to get bitten multiple times how come it had taken so long for someone to figure out the sheep were being taken? Or was it just that strong of a creature? Maybe he should’ve done a little bit of research before he showed up. “Most animals that come to mind couldn’t really take two sheep with it, or make gashes that big.” Or possibly shove two injured sheep and shake them around like rag dolls. He looked towards the forest before back at Billy. “I’m going to assume it lives nearby and it’ll probably come back. We could wait here and try to mark it for a hunt or try to catch it on its home turf.” He said as he raised a hand to pat Dr. Puddy again. What were they hunting anyway? Suddenly the farm felt a little more eerie. He was distracted now, half focused on Billy and half on the sounds of the night. A stray bug, a branch snapping. He was alert sure, but for what? And that was what really bugged him.

"Where's your sense of adventure??" he hummed with a small smile on his lips as he looked at the corpses. The bodies were grotesque to look at. This wasn't his first experience seeing a dead body and it still put a little bit of a pit in his stomach. It wasn't exactly sadness. It wasn't anything really... just like this weight and nervousness that went away as quickly as it came. All that was left was emptiness... the feeling he usually was left with.
"More than likely the sheep fled after the first bite and it chased after them. Maybe some kind of toxin in the bite to help immobilize them. It'd explain why they didn't get very far from the gate..." He was simply hypothesizing based on his previous research of what he believed this creature to be. Of course it could be just a wolf attack. That didn't fit though as the claw marks were to large for a standard wolf attack. Maybe a demonic creature... a monster. Or it could be what he was looking for.
Dr Puddy was pleased with this turn of events. It was warm in his hood. She even gave a little purr when she was being pet. The cat familiar didn't seem to care much about the crime scene. She was not interested in any of this at the moment as it wasn't... well very exciting. In battle of course she was very different but that was not where they were at the moment.
"The fence over there leads into a small grove of trees. I think there's a cave over there... maybe it leaves there?" There was that little crack of a branch. He heard it too. The young man looked at Heath and put his finger to his lips. He waved his hand towards the ball of light he'd conjured and it moved into his open palm before he dissipated it by closing his hand around the magic. It became dark again in an instant. There was another crack and some voices that could be heard.
It was probably the guards. They should probably move. Quickly. He'd grab for Heath so they could book it towards the fence. The cave was probably their best bet to find the creature. If it wasn't there then they could always head back. There weren't a lot of place to hide here though... at least none nearby.

He rolled his eyes. “My sense of adventure includes contingency plans.” Heath already had enough trouble sleeping. Getting arrested and put somewhere for the night would probably only worsen his issues. He crossed his arms as he went back to trying to figure out what had transpired the night before. His expression darkened at the mention of toxins. “That’ll be a nice challenge.” He noted quietly. Alright cool. Close quarters combat was definitely not the way to handle the beast. They would have to lure the dumb thing back and trap it. At least, he would like to do that. Maybe they could use the bodies in the wards but would messing with that signal the guards? He wanted to get his hands on those deflated sheep godamnit.
“Makes sense.” He replied without anything to add. He felt a little embarrassed he was unprepared. But this wasn’t the time to worry. Fake it till you make it and all that. Heath was glad the cat was happy. At least she was enjoying herself. “You’re cute.” He mumbled before returning his attention to the problem at hand. He stared into the woods, while intimidating it was something he was more familiar with. Better than standing out in the open anyway. The light disappeared and immediately the nerves began to flutter in his stomach. Someone was coming. He couldn’t quick make out the voices just yet. But it was loud enough to tell they weren’t exactly being cautious. They hadn’t noticed their snooping then. He pressed a hand onto Dr. Puddy’s spine to keep her from getting flung out of his hood as he was yanked. Thankfully he had enough coordination not to face plant as he broke into a sprint. How did one run quietly anyway?
Heath managed to stay relatively quiet as he scrambled over the fence and towards the cave. It was the last place he wanted to be, but fuck if they had any other viable choices now. He leaned on the edge of the entrance, refusing to step in any further unprepared. It was far enough, no way they could see them at the moment. He listened again ignoring the heartbeat in his ears. Heath set the cat familiar down before calling to his own. Sinclair materialized by his legs. He nodded over at the tunnel, quickly informing Sinclair of everything he had missed. “Good to know I’ve instilled a sense of self-preservation in you.” The familiar tone was calming despite the hint of condescension. With that he looked to Billy, now at least better prepared. If he was right, they were about to corner a wild animal. He listened again, only catching a spontaneous drip of something on the cave floor and some crickets. He looked to the ground for blood stains or tracks. Anything. If it wasn’t here maybe it was somewhere deeper in the woods. Then again if it was here why hadn’t anyone bothered to check yet? Idiots.

"Who says I don't have those? I mean I don't but still?" he said with a small laugh as he dragged the boy along through the forested area towards the cave. He could hear the voices in the distance barely a whisper as they entered the wooded area and then it was gone. It was quiet here. Very quiet.
"Thank you." The voice was feminine and came from his hood. She seemed pleased at being called cute. She was then placed down on the ground as they reached the cave entrance. The small cat stared at the darkness as it went next to her witch. Her eyes were doing that weird cat thing where they glowed a kind of yellow color in the darkness. It was like she was looking at something.
"Okay, make sure to have your guard up... its late so the creature might be out... we can maybe set a trap if it is... if not... well then get ready to fight... sound good? Good. Onward!" He said all this in a stage whisper... more than loud enough for Heath to hear it but he was attempting to have it be... well... you know less than loud so that if the creature was still here then it wouldn't be easily alerted to their presence.
Billy hummed as he started to walk into the cave. Dr Puddy was taking the lead in front of him... he didn't want to use magic if he didn't have too as it would alert the creature. Dr Puddy could see pretty well in the dark thanks to her feline appearance so he trusted her to lead them towards the creature. It was watch the cat or get lost. This cave system was actually fairly huge now that they were inside of it. Many tunnels connected. The creature could be anywhere.

Heath was thankful for the darkness that had enveloped the pair. At least that way Billy couldn’t see Heath rolling his eyes at him. He stayed quiet, not completely turned off this mission just yet. The guy seemed smart enough albeit flighty but he supposed it was just because of the nature of the mission they were on. And…the fact that they weren’t supposed to be doing half of what they actually were. He looked down at Sinclair who was busy observing their partners. By the way the familiar stood, he could already tell Sinclair was having second thoughts about being here. “Wait- are we setting a trap now??” he whispered back totally not good with this plan. Well, it wasn’t like he had anything better in mind.
Sinclair followed the other witch, pausing only to hiss a command into Heath’s mind. He hurried forward to close the gap. The blonde stared at Billy’s back willing his eyes to adjust faster. Would he even be able to see if they got far enough into the cave? Would they be able to get out? Crap. As the entrance became a pin prick behind them, Heath decided he would mark their way back. Would a rock be enough? No, that’d be noisy…“Magic, you dunce!” Right. He had a point. He could do it. It was easy enough, even if he hadn’t practiced it in a while. Heath moved to the cave wall and dragged his fingers across the cold surface. He frowned in concentration as he willed thin trails of ice to appear where his fingers touched before pulling away. No matter how things went, he would hope Billy would grace them with his light once more. Then the small bits of ice would be able to lead them out. He could shrug off any worry of getting lost in this…expansive…cave system. Hopefully they wouldn’t stay in here too long.
Heath moved closed enough to pinch a bit of Billy’s shirt and tugged slightly to catch his attention. “You got something to communicate telepathically?” he whispered not really hearing a threat at this point and hopping they were still close enough to the entrance that it was still safe to speak. Everything felt too loud. The occasional water drips had become more noticeable and his feet seemed to fall all too loudly on the rock. The echoes were getting louder and he could only assume the cave was expanding. Wait were they going underground? He hadn’t noticed an incline but where else would an intricate cave system go. He should’ve brought matches this was awful.

"Possibly? It depends on if the creature is there or not. Ya know??" he hummed as they progressed in the cave. He was seemingly giving no thought on how they'd be back or anything of that nature... mostly because he wasn't. He was mostly relying on Dr Puddy as she was the one actually leading the way. She was good with directions and such... mostly because she was the one who could see the best in this darkness.
"Here give me your hand so we don't get separated," he stage whispered. He reached out his hand behind him and attempted to make a grab for the other boys hand. Or whatever was at arm level for him. Billy wasn't very tall and Heath didn't seem to be a giant so that made things a little easier. Not like some weird child and giant type situation.
The other boy had a good idea... telepathy. Well it would be a good idea if he had a scroll that would allow that. Something like team spirit or something of that nature. He knew a few people who used it to communicate... but he didn't have that ability or that scroll. Well that was out of the question. Minus the furry cat in front of them he didn't really have any idea how they'd communicate.
Billy sighed as he had to actually answer the boy. "Nope. We're kinda just winging it... it usually works best. Besides all you need to do right now is be a good boy and stick close so we don't get separated." There wasn't a hint of any malice in his words. He was just stating a fact. Okay maybe there was a little teasing in his words as well but he couldn't help it. The kid reminded him of his younger sibling so of course he had to tease the boy. Actual age be damned.
They'd walk for maybe two minutes or so before the cat in front of them stopped. This was easy to see as her eyes turned back towards the group and Billy stopped abruptly as she spoke in his head. 'The creature's lair is ahead... I sense something in there... it doesn't appear to be alone.' Well this was great. As long as they didn't make any sudden movements they'd have the element of surprise at least. Billy would squeeze the other man's hand as a sign. He just hoped the other boy understood it. Probably not... they really should have planned before hand.
Post by heath ambroise on Sept 20, 2017 5:25:34 GMT
Heath grimaced, not really enjoying the fact that they were actually winging the mission. They didn’t even really have a plan, did they? He was relaxed but this was a circumstance that there was a big risk of getting maimed. He had a right to be a little unnerved at how easily Billy shook off his concerns. Every so often Heath continued to leave little streaks of ice on the wall. At least it was cold and wet down here. It made the whole process faster for him. “Oh, sure. Here.” He whispered back, fumbling in the dark before clasping hands with his partner. Hope Billy could deal with the cold. His hands were probably freezing by now. He held on firmly, only pulling the boy to the side every time he tried to lay a trace of ice on the walls so they could run back. He predicted they would be running. He got that kind of vibe off his partner.
The blonde sighed quietly. Not his ideal response. He would count hand holding as a useful enough form of communication. He squeezed the witch’s hand hard in warning at being spoken to like a child. He was capable enough just…new. Inexperienced. But that didn’t make him childish. At least, not to Heath. “If I’m good, will you call me Heath instead?” he whispered back as he closed the gap between them. He stopped just before bumping into Billy’s back. His eyes were wide for a moment. They were closer now. They had to be. Why would they stop? He stayed quiet, practically holding his breath. Sure, enough there came a subtle squeeze of his hand. It wasn’t too hard to get. But now what? Heath ran through the few spells he knew. He felt he was as a disadvantage here. A cave wasn’t exactly his optimal environment. Then again maybe it was just was Billy needed who knows? They hadn’t exactly discussed abilities beforehand.
Shit. A note for next mission then. He could swear he heard faint breathing or was it just echoes of Billy’s? No, it was definitely up ahead. Somewhere he didn’t want to go unprepared. He tugged his partner’s hand back hoping he would start moving back the way they came. Not to the entrance but just a little ways off so they could talk. He was by no means a powerhouse, but he had an idea of something they could try. Hopefully Billy would put up the rest. Still, he couldn’t help but feel a shake in his legs. His body was already to make a mad dash out of here.
“How many creatures did you say we were tracking?” sinclair’s voice piped up in his head.
“One.”
“Are you sure?” Heath scowled at his familiar who was purposely picking at his nerves now.

This kids hands were freezing. It was like holding a popsicle and it was uncomfortable. Hopefully this mission wouldn't drag on to long. Whatever was up ahead didn't feel super menacing and Dr Puddy didn't seem very alarmed so the creatures probably were not very strong. If need be he'd probably be able to take them himself.
Billy didn't answer Heath's question. He kind of wanted to see how far he could push the other male. It was a fun game he liked to play. When they got mad it never really bothered him after all. It was kind of amusing actually. What was wrong with him? A lot of things.
Dr Puddy crept as close as she could without being within sensing range. If this was the creature he hoped it would sense them if they got to close. The small cat sighed in his head, seemingly no longer caring about this mission. He could feel her voice intrude his mind. 'Wolf monsters; 2 of them' came the voice inside his head. Damn. Not the answer he wanted. Well this was a waste of time.
He felt a tug on his arm from Heath. He wanted to move back? Sure why not humor the boy? He just wanted to get this over with. It was kind of disappointing finding out the truth. Maybe he'd let the boy take charge now that he knew it wasn't the Chupacabra they were tracking. He knew it was a long shot but still he had hoped. Stupid wolf demons. He allowed Heath to lead him back farther into the cave so they could speak more freely... well whisper freely. Dr Puddy leisurely strolled behind them.
"What's up son?" he stage whispered now that they were far enough away that the creatures probably couldn't hear them whispering. He was curious what the boy had planned or wanted to discuss. Probably strategy... unless he was smart enough to figure out that it was more than one creature there. Given he seemed somewhat cautious he was probably newer with combat magic.

He was a little unnerved by his familiar’s comments and the knowledge that up ahead there was a monster, maybe more than one ready to maim them both. Still, as uneasy as this entire situation made him, Billy’s words had caught him off guard. “Wh- Don’t call me son.” He hissed back. This was kind of serious? It felt really serious. How was he expected to kill something unknown to him?? “Listen, I don’t know what you can do but I can’t fight anything in here.” He whispered. “If you can I’ll help but I wouldn’t be able to assist much.” His combat experience was next to nothing. The last fight he’d had had been with fists over the last kabob at a party. That wasn’t exactly magical combat experience. As far as he knew not many of his spells were really combat oriented anyway.
The reported quieted down. His familiar was holding back giggles at how unprepared the witch was. But what exactly prepared you to fight monsters in a dank cave next to a stranger? Nothing. This was trial by fire. In a cave. “I know you like winging shit, but it might be easier if we don’t right now.” He continued, happy he couldn’t see whatever smug mug he was getting. He was more or less admitting to being a little scared and it didn’t sit well. But he would rather be scared and alive than brave and in the hospital.
“I think we could at least get the upper hand if we lured out of the cave. You could blind them right before they get out with, uh, the light ball thing, and I could try and try them. We go from there.” And then, Heath would punt one of the wolves’ skulls like he was kicking a field goal. And then they would all live happily ever after. Crap. He waited though he didn't expect Billy to say anything mildly reassuring.

"Whatever you say daddy," he said with a quiet laugh, emphasizing the last statement. This kid was funny. He liked messing with the boy. He reminded him of the last guy he dated... except you know like twenty years younger and way easier to fluster. It was kind of fun. He should be serious but this was super fun.
Billy looked at the young man, getting his face as close to possible to the young man with a serious face. He stood there for as long as it would take for one of them to break. He could hold it... he would win! He cracked a smile eventually before attempting to pat Heath on the shoulder. "You've got this my bro... I'll show you our secret weapon to help ya with your plan if it'll calm ya down."
The black haired male fished some clear crystal vials out of his pocket. There were four of them with a blue liquid inside each of them. They were potion vials he had prepared especially for this. That is why he had them in the nice actual glass potion vials. Normally he'd honestly just have his potions in plastic vials or when he was feeling really lazy water bottles.
Dr Puddy crept to the side with Heath, not really caring about anything going on. She sighed as the boy pulled out the potion vials and looked away from her witch when she saw the dumb look on his face as he showed them to the poor kid he was partnered with. This poor child has no idea what kind of whacko he was dealing with. Honestly by now he actually might.
"I'm going to give these to you okay? These are special and can help you defeat the monsters... ya know just gotta hit em with the bottle..." he stage whispered to the boy. He was willing to go along with his plan... mostly out of being bored as heck. He'd let Heath take charge and at the same time not tell him anything about the blue liquid inside the bottle. He just needed to get the liquid on the creatures and it was over with.
"How do you plan to lure them out... I can for sure do the blindy thing of course... but you got like any small children or sheep with ya?" he hummed, keeping his words somewhat polite as he tried to get the kid to think. This honestly could have been over with by now if Heath hadn't stopped him from going through with his plan. This was much more entertaining though.
